In the list below, I highlighted the few people that believe Rebecca Zahau's death was suicide. IMO, the rest testified it was suicide.

22 to 2!!!!



Not a very good percentage for the Zahau side...bet they are really getting worried about losing that nice house of theirs!

BTW, I did not include XZ, as I believe she did know that Rebecca's death was a suicide due to the text she sent that day to a dead Rebecca saying, "It wasn't your fault" leading to me she knew Rebeeca felt guilty for Max's accident. I hope she was honest in her deposition, but I worry that she has been under Mary's influence for too long for total honesty on the subject.

***Does anyone know who Howard Loehner is? Is that Mary Zahau's husband, Doug, the traffic cop wanna-be detective and good ole boy? (JMO)

Unless all of these people have expressed their opinion in the news media or in a legal report, we have no way of knowing their opinion on RZ's cause of death. None of them will serve on the jury that hears the wrongful death case.

Let's also keep in mind the evidence that has been revealed since the SDSO report and through the deposition process will change people's minds. People sometimes present different opinions when testifying under oath.

Carioca, thank you so much for this post. With all of the detail included it really illustrates that the depositions are now 22 to 2 in favor of suicide.

No wonder the Zahaus are dropping the Federal case. Bet they will drop the State case soon too....better to drop it than have it dismissed....that way they can delude themselves that it was not suicide for the rest of their lives. JMO

This article was written by Joan Kron, a writer who has previously written articles on behalf of Jonah Shacknai via his Medicis products.

Thus IMO it is a puff piece basically written by Jonah Shacknai. ANYONE can put out an article and this one was self-serving. This is only one of many articles which illustrates the power that JS wielded in not only framing Max's death but Rebecca's death as well. To me it was so transparent what effect it was going after and it is frankly embarrassing to his stature.

This very article was one of the reasons that I hurdled off the fence and landed onto the Zahau side. Power, politics, influence. Pretty obvious. While I appreciate the attempt to sway the masses (and there were many to be swayed), it was done so poorly I would have fired my PR team.

Also, I believe that JS children or one of them was staying in the guest house IIRC. It doesn't mean that the 13 year old, which you seem to want to place blame on, was lying. Agreed. What I have zero respect for are people who spin things to their advantage -- exaggerating bits of misinformation at every turn and discounting, outright ignoring reason, logic and common sense because of their own obsessive, desperate need to "hate" on Rebecca and her family... and IMO, to justify the murder of Rebecca.

I see the article as an obvious attempt by Jonah's PR to turn the attention away from him and close the case as fast as possible because any negative publicity would mean a certain, unremitting scandal and his business sinking to the ground. Recall this was during the time he was trying to negotiate the sale of Medici.

I don't see Rebecca or her teen sis lying about anything. It's perfectly understandable and reasonable that when we are in other parts of the same home we are preoccupied with what we are doing and not what someone else is doing. Hence, it is rational and normal and natural that Rebecca and XZ were not aware where anyone else (e.g., Jonah and his teens) were. Anyone who says otherwise is arguing a dead horse.

Jonah's other children are not named in this lawsuit so it is irrelevant when they left or what airline they used. Judge's don't allow fishing expeditions.

Thanks for the link and refreshing my memory about some of the more ridiculous comments RZ's sister has made to the media. Mary Zahau-Loehner has to be really clueless if she thinks her agenda isn't the most transparent of all time. Her strategy seems to be she didn't like Jonah so let's sue his brother and ex-wife in retaliation and defame them with allegations of murder and maybe JS will pay us to go away. Hard to believe any Judge has let this get this far.

It seems like everyone, their mother and the kitchen sink are getting subpoenaed and deposed while these two POIs are avoiding it at all costs. What's up with that?! You'd think the first people to be deposed would be the DEFENDANTS, Dina and Nina, to the WRONGFUL DEATH SUIT, not these extraneous third and fourth and fifth parties...and their tangential relevance to the suit. I think only witnesses can be deposed in the discovery process. Dina and Nina both contend they were never near the premises at the time of RZ's death. Perhaps one of the lawyers here will weigh in.
