If he’s truly been gone since Tuesday he could be anywhere. I were him I sure wouldn’t go into that mess when I could exit out the back and find another place to go.

If he left last night, and exited before LE came, I could see him being there, or at least walking through it for a distance before emerging.

What a mess. Every single thing he has done screams “I’m guilty.”

The police can mislead in their public statements and do it when necessary. If they keep repeating that they will just take BL home, it isn’t because they are trying to convince you of that. It’s probably because they want BL to be convinced of it. That could be why they kept saying that they had no crime for a criminal investigation m. It’s very likely they do but don’t want BL doing anything drastic until they are ready to pursue the criminal angle.JMO

they can but so far nothing has changed to classify a crime having happened.. Not unless some evidence from the van or elsewhere has shown up and that has not been released to the public. As it is they can take him home and sit infront of his house to make sure he doesn't leave again without being followed until this resolved. That's about it

He did have a cell phone he takes it out of his pocket at the end of the video. I believe he said that statement about not having his phone meaning it was in the car and he couldn’t access it during the argument he was referencing.

Gabby would never drive the van distances....she said it herself....maybe they separated and he had to drive back the whole way

She didn’t say she never drove the van long distances. She said she doesn’t like to.

I think people are clinging onto that one statement too much and it may close doors to possible occurrences.
She’s seen driving it on video on pretty twisty roads smiling and laughing. There’s 100 possible reasons she said that to the the police at that time (including that she was just having major anxiety and didn’t want to drive far right then).

Looks like Gabby saved money for the trip. No mention of BL doing the same.

Ms. Petito, the oldest of six siblings, had been working as a pharmacy technician to save money for the trip.

If she lived at BL's parents home and paid little or no rent,utilities,ect, she could have saved a chunk of money. How long she saved and how much is a question I have. JMO

~To the person who asked why Brian was even hitchhiking at all and the validity of Miranda Baker's story, apologies I got cut off in the last thread before I finished my response:

If it's indeed true, my thoughts are Brian was going to try to hitchhike out of Wyoming to add to whatever narrative he was concocting but I think he quickly realized hitchhiking was going to be very difficult and not to mention a terrible idea so he reconsidered and went back for the van. I'm also now speculating since I heard this interview from Gabby's friend Rose that Brian had another one of these "schizophrenic episodes" and these "voices" told him to get out of the vehicle. Almost like when Miranda Baker said "Jackson Hole" it was a kind of trigger word for Brian.. I don't know. There is so much crazy in this story at this point I guess everything is on the table.

There is so much crazy in this story. Takes me back to the Casey Anthony and the search for Caley. Who can forget Mert and his live broadcasts from where Texas Equa search was there searching and every night out in front of the Anthony's home. Surely the squeakest wheel gets all the oil!

Just throwing this one out there, what if he did leave the parent's house last night (as some neighbors believe they saw), but the parent's didn't know he had come and gone? Like, hiding out in a garage, shed, backyard, etc... With all the noise going on around their property from press and neighbors yelling, it would be easy to dismiss the sounds of someone moving around the property.

Has she ever said if she actually got the $200? Maybe he was just making empty promises and intended to just take off whenever he got where he wanted? Maybe he never intended to go the whole way to Jackson and just wanted to start alibi creation. Who knows.

The reporter said police told her if they were to find BL, that they’d return him home to his parents.

IMO, I don’t think that will be the case if he’s found alive. I believe he’d be involuntarily sent for a medical/psychiatric evaluation. It’s my guess that he’s having a mental health crisis.
