“As the "major" part of the search ended Friday, Taylor said Saturday's and Sunday's efforts will be focusing on "areas of more likelihood."

Law enforcement won't be providing regular updates unless something of note is found over the weekend, Taylor said” here

ugh, the radio silence is getting to me. Not been able to function properly today trying to keep up with any new news & listening to scanner. And now we know that we won’t be getting regular updates. Fingers crossed they find him soon!

Here's a new piece of information that I watched on Fox about a hour ago. Dog The Bounty Hunter was knocking on the parent's door. No one was answering......

It interesting that “the manager of the motel that cannot confirm if Laundrie slept there that evening.”

“Officers brought Laundrie to the Bowen Motel in Moab. KSL TV’s Morgan Wolfe talked with the manager of the motel that cannot confirm if Laundrie slept there that evening.”

Grand County Sheriff’s Office investigating Moab murders & Petito disappearance
And when GP asked Moab where the hotel was they could not tell her but told her it wwasn't far from the flower. Are there a lot of hotels etc near the flower?

IMO I take this to mean, he has a cell phone, but not an active cell service. He uses it for internet via wifi or hotspot. He might use a free service like Google talk or Text Now via wifi.
That is why he was concerned about GP "leaving him and taking her phone, bc then he would be totally stranded" No wifi(hotspot) to connect to outside world.
But when they told GP to not contact him or text him (several times) not once did she say 'he doesn't have a phone.' but maybe it's right...it's just used for texting.

Laundrie family spends National Daughter's Day ducking scrutiny as Petito's parents plan funeral
NORTH PORT, Fla. – Saturday is National Daughters Day – and the parents of New York’s Gabby Petito – who mourners around the country have called "America’s daughter" – spent it preparing for her Sunday funeral.

The parents of Brian Laundrie, who police have named as a person of interest in the activities surrounding Petito's disappearance, also have a daughter. For much of the day they were ducking scrutiny at their home in North Port, Fla., where their son arrived on Sept. 1 in Petito’s van – without her.

Laundrie's parents could be charged if they gave false information: Former detective
Former D.C. homicide detective Ted Williams reacts to the latest developments in the manhunt for Brian Laundrie.

Preparations being made for Gabby Petito's funeral Sunday on Long Island
Funeral services for Gabby Petito will be held on New York's Long Island on Sunday, according to an Instagram post from her father.

Services will be held at the Moloney Funeral Home in Holbrook and will be open to the public from 12 to 5 p.m.

"Thank to all for your support and love," he wrote, adding that in lieu of flowers the family requests people make donations to the future Gabby Petito Foundation.

Florida lawyer, a mom of two, puts $20G bounty on Brian Laundrie
NORTH PORT, Fla. – The slaying of Gabby Petito and subsequent disppearance of Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in her case, prompted a prominent Florida attorney to put a $20,000 bounty on his whereabouts.

Utah officers may not have had all information responding to Moab incident, experts say
NORTH PORT, Fla. – With the City of Moab in Utah announcing an investigation into the police handling of an Aug. 12 domestic dispute involving Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie, experts say the officers may have acted appropriately — based on incomplete information.

"It's proper if they determine that it's only a mental health situation because now officers are being trained, because people get shot, [to] handle mental health situations differently than they handle regular cases," Susanne Gustin, a Salt Lake City-based defense attorney, told Fox News Friday. "You want to de-escalate. You don't want to necessarily arrest somebody who was having a mental health episode.

"Under Utah law, police are required to either arrest the suspect or issue a citation in a domestic violence situation. They have no discretion in the matter, she said.

Florida statute may work to advantage of Brian Laundrie's parents
The circumstances surrounding Laundrie's disappearance have prompted speculation about the alleged role his parents may or may or not have played in helping their son elude authorities.

Of particular interest is how Laundrie’s parents, Christopher Laundrie, 62, and Roberta Laundrie, 55, claim they picked up their son's Mustang car on Sept. 14 from the nature preserve that authorities are now sweeping for any trace of Brian Laundrie. Some have speculated as to why they would bring the car home, without their son, leaving him in a large nature reserve full of alligators and snakes.

The parents did not report their son missing until police showed up at their home on Friday, Sept. 17, three days later.

So far, Laundrie’s parents have not been charged with any crime, and experts say that could be a tall order under Florida law.

Laundrie's parents tailed by undercover officers while driving to Orlando to visit lawyer: report
Brian Laundrie’s parents were followed by undercover law enforcement agents when they drove 150 miles north to speak with their lawyer in Orlando on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail.

The trip came a day after a federal arrest warrant was issued for Laundrie who officers have been searching for since last Saturday.

They were also followed all the way back to their home in North Port, Florida, where they ignored questions from Fox News reporters.

Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino told Fox News on Wednesday his "family is definitely concerned [about his whereabouts] but we don’t want to speculate as to anything more."

I thought this quote from your post was very interesting.

"Under Utah law, police are required to either arrest the suspect or issue a citation in a domestic violence situation. They have no discretion in the matter, she said.

Also, the officers did have the correct information. The 911 call was for domestic violence on a female and it is stated as such on the top of the police report an officer filled out.

That is why he was concerned about GP "leaving him and taking her phone, bc then he would be totally stranded" No wifi(hotspot) to connect to outside world.

I had the same thought. No idea if it’s accurate. But I could see myself stumbling to quickly explain having a phone but no cellular plan (so not a “phone” in a traditional sense).

Maybe they aren’t allowed to? I’d think initially it was because it was a DV situation (for safety/privacy), now more so due to it being an ongoing investigation. IMO. I just find the way he acted while getting out of the LE SUV at the motel strange.

The thoughts I have not been able to move from:

Gabby has been located. The autopsy likely has revealed to investigators an apx date of death.

If Gabby was alive when Brian left, a fuel stop and other time line elements should be able to validate that. He hasn’t came out in any way as far as we know to share his timeline with law enforcement. To try to clear the air by stating he had already left.

If Gabby met her homocidal death while he was still there, why is he not working with authorities to bring justice to her and find her killer? Why was there no 911 call at some point?

I have tried to wrap my mind around alternate possibilities, but these are the basic things that I keep coming back to. Those, along with the massive man hunt for him.

I clearly have no idea. I so wish we had phone and text details....but can hypothesize a scenario.

Maybe, maybe they called it quits. None of us truly know the deal they had together with the van...maybe it really was more of HIS thing. He told the body cam guys it was his idea, I am not saying I believe that, just that he said it.

They MAY have agreed to separate, maybe they both think her Yellowstone friend is going to pick her up and she has a trip home together with that gal. She stays with Yellowstone friend once home in FL while they sort out everything else. Brian goes hiking to spend time up in his own head, he comes back, she is gone, he is worried not realizing she was THAT serious! Waits around....no texts, no calls, no Gabby. He drives home having NO idea that she has been killed while he was out processing this on his own.

I can imagine that they may have co-mingled their funds and, while clearly technically illegal, it may not have occurred to him this was theft. He just wanted to go home, the trip was a bust and he lost the love of his life. Not trying to trigger outrage here, it is only a very, very remote, but possible scenario that I am putting forth.

He goes about his business at home until her parents start reaching out-maybe on the same day that the missing persons "incident" with the LE and Gabby's dad are connected to happens- and then, since he knows exactly what was supposed to happen, realizes she didn't end up where she was supposed to and all of a sudden they get word that the police are asking about a missing person and they get a lawyer because he knows they are on tape from MOAB, where Gabby was nearly charged and thrown in jail and no one trusts anyone anymore, especially seemingly innocent LE involvement.

This is JUST again a very very remote possibility....I would be thrilled to have it ruled out with something I may be missing.
That's really an interesting scenario because you really are missing many facts from the timeline, so maybe check that out. The main fact of this case is that Gabby's body was found in Wyoming adjacent to where BL parked the van. BL was the only one who ever drove the van, and sometime after Gabby died he drove the van home to Florida and it was in his parent's driveway. He possibly stopped in Illinois and bought gas on Gabby's credit, for which he now has a federal warrant.

The "friend in Yellowstone" said early on she never got a call from Gabby on her birthday about meeting up. The text sent from Gabby's phone to her mother said "Yosemite" which was probably a mistake on BL's part. Anyway, your scenario never happened because the friend said it never happened, and Gabby never made it to Yellowstone.

A deceased Gabby sadly never made it back to Florida.

Hello.
Someone earlier in this thread mentioned funeral information for tomorrow so I looked it up. Oh my gosh, you guys. I googled Moloneyfh.com (the funeral home) then entered Gabby's last name in the search box on their site. There is a 28 minute video of Gabby's life in pictures. You won't believe how sad and beautiful. What a short life but so well lived. Seemed the family went to so many wonderful places together. And Gabby, so sweet, so beautiful. What I especially noticed was her dad's face in so many pictures - you can see the love, the pride. So tragic.
Sorry I can't figure out how to link on this device.
Please check it out.

WHY WAS THE SEARCH SMALLER?
@NorthPortPolice confirm they scaled back the search for #BrianLaundrie today because they are concentrating on bodies of water — saying that involves less LEO

@NorthPortPolice say these bodies of water are areas that are harder to search

That suggests they are not searching for a living person.

Do you mean the Moonflower Cooperative? The Bowen Motel is very close, it's only a couple of blocks away on Main St. There are a number of other motels and hotels close by too, Moab is not a big town but it's a major tourist destination so it has a lot of them.

He did. Also scratches on right side of his neck, and nails marks on his left side and red mark on his right arm. She had a scratch and red mark on right side of jaw. LE took photos.

That is why LE came to the conclusion that did, and of course the matching statements by Gabby and Brian. Brian also admitted to them BOTH getting physical.

It is a long video, and we have in and out listening...so helps to view multiple times or you miss things.
they also mention a 'swollen right eye'

Y’all I feel like I’m going crazy. Why can’t I find the full unedited version of the Cassie Laundrie interview online, only the transcript, but the video has pieces cut out? I swear I’d seen it in full previously. If anyone can find it, I want to clear up what she said about the flight to see if the language in the transcript is correct regarding the word “is”
