I definitely would like to see Brian exonerated. It doesn't look good, but I still hold out hope. There are so many possibilities and so much we don't know...

Regardless of whether BL killed Gabby, or not, he was selfish and uncaring to just leave the Tetons without reporting Gabby missing, injured or dead. He just left her. The only possible scenario that can possibly justify his actions would be if she left him with someone else. Even then , when her family reported her missing, he should have given LE the last location of the van snd where he last saw her. Instead , he refused to meet with or talk to LE, her family, friends or even drop a note. Gabby’s body was not fount for several days and only because a Youtuber recognized it in their videos.

If someone deposits money into an account that does not have their name on it, they are setting themselves up for the possibility of losing that money. Money in an account belongs to the account holder whose name is on it and only to the account holder(s).
But in all honesty, it's not really theft if you put money into an account for use on a trip you're going on with someone and you use it with a PIN your fellow traveller willingly have you so you could access the money--legally it is, but not morally, in my opinion.

Did Cassie mention asking BL about Gabby on Sept 1st?

Why hasn't Brian been charged with murder? I've read all the speculations, but none really answers the question. There is no logical reason, I can see, why he hasn't been formally charged with killing GP. I can think of reasons why they haven't, but considering what's transpired, they don't make sense either. FBI must be convinced he did murder her or they wouldn't be on this huge, expensive, vast, and time consuming man hunt. Not for credit card fraud!! I just don't understand why he hasn't been charged with the crime.

Because once they charge him, the clock starts ticking. They have a charge that will hold him in the meantime, once they find him.

Interesting...What makes you think he wanted to kill her for a long time? Do you have inside information? Do you think the trip was a set up to get the woman he hated into an isolated spot so he could carry out his fantasy?

His interest in violence and murder for one. Nearly all of the books he reads are about killing others. His drawings and SM- same. But the one thing that convinced me was the absolute delight he appeared to take in tormenting Gabby by threatening- and carrying the threat out- of her worst fear, abandonment. Imagine being in a vast, dangerous place such as Teton all alone at night. No cell phone. Exposed to the animals such as bears. No shelter, possibly no food or water.
I strongly believe it had caused her to start having panic attacks. Either way it was brutally cruel and dangerous. Anything could have happened to her out there alone. Imagine her justifiable terror. It wasn't some petty control issue with her about the van, it was about her safety.
Only a sadistic psychopath could do that and more importantly, enjoy it IMHO. Also how easily he duped LE and the way he laughed while she cried. I think he hated her. The way he left her body reinforced that belief.
All of this is just my thoughts and opinions after years of studying murder and murderers.

Is there anyone here that is interested in or hopes that Brian is found to be innocent of Gabby's death?

Isn't that the best outcome for HER and her decisions, that we are aware of? The most respectful result?

I know it looks grim and is hard to imagine given the information that has carefully been shared with us, for sure.

But if we as a group had the ability to choose, would we prefer her fiance/boyfriend or a stranger, (or group of strangers)? And why?

It is odd that Brian hasn't been charged. I understand the tactic, but why no big blast about being dangerous to others?

Is there any precedent for someone suspected of murder to be categorized as a missing person, wanted only on debit card fraud? (Or something similar?)

It is rare, in this forum, for anyone to mention the possibility of Brian's innocence. And I absolutely understand that even though he is presumed innocent by law, that is not applicable here. The actions just don't mesh with guilt TO ME. Too weird. All of it!!! I am happy to eat my words if I am wrong. So want some answers. MOO MOO!

I wish Gabby was still alive. I wish this hadn't happened. I personally feel I would be minimizing GP's life being stolen if I allowed myself to romanticize that young lovers just aren't capable of having such a sad and ugly ending, so something or someone else must have done this to GP.

Hope is a beautiful thing. I am a naturally hopeful person. I am unable to hold out hope for BL's innocence.

MOO.

Legally is all that counts (in the judicial system).

Every thing he and his parents have done since he arrived in Florida points to guilty knowledge.
Not answering calls/texts from Petitos when the Petitos had no idea he was in Florida yet and their initial attempts at contact were because they were concerned about Gabby AND Brian’s whereabouts and safety.
The Mustang staging (MOO) at the park.
Lawyering up immediately when the case went public.

Gabby Petito update: FBI’s decision to hold victim’s remains, cause of death ‘very unusual,’ Dr. Baden says

FBI withholding Gabby's cause of death is 'very unusual,' expert says

Gabby Petito update: FBI’s decision to hold victim’s remains, cause of death ‘very unusual,’ Dr. Baden says

Baden, who has worked on a bevy of high profile cases such as the death of Jeffrey Epstein, said: "I think the FBI would be very cautious about things because they don't want to make a mistake.

"Whatever reasons they're withholding, it is very unusual."

He added: "I think that the only reason would be, you're concerned that you're missing something, but that should not be a concern, because whatever is needed to investigate the death from the point of view of the medical examiner will be seen, documented and could be retained."

"In 2021, where anything of value can be document[ed], retained, tested on day one or two or three, there's no reason to keep the whole body from the family," he continued.

Baden characterized officials as doing the exact "reverse" of what is typically done by releasing the manner of death before the cause.

Generally speaking, Baden says, releasing a victim’s manner of death implies that the cause is already known.

"Now, what they're saying is, whatever they found, they've ruled out accidents, suicides, or natural deaths that could cause it," he added.
IMO it's because Brian would be the only one who knows how she died and they can nail him in interrogation with that.

Bingo.

I'll be interested to see if BL's stimulus check(s) and paychecks were deposited into GP's bank account...if that info ever comes out. Maybe he cashed them; maybe he had her deposit them. Just MOO.
I would expect the FBI combed through the account to see if Brian made any recent or regular ‘contributions’ and if Gabby was just bankrolling him before issuing out that federal arrest warrant.

The part I have quoted is interesting - did we know that Merry Piglets had no surveillance cameras?

Timeline of Gabby Petito case - CNN

August 27

On August 27, a Louisiana couple vacationing in Jackson, Wyoming, said they saw Petito and Laundrie involved in a "commotion" as they were leaving The Merry Piglets Tex-Mex restaurant.

Nina Angelo, who was at the restaurant with her boyfriend, said Petito was in tears and Laundrie was visibly angry, going in and out of the restaurant several times and showing anger toward the staff around the hostess stand.

A restaurant manager told CNN she saw "an incident" at the restaurant August 27 but declined to give her name or describe what happened, and said the restaurant did not have surveillance video of the incident.

Have a listen she just went live and answered (in her opinion) important questions we are all asking about the case.

She doesn’t believe he will be found soon.

She also doesn’t believe Cassie.
