If so, I missed that.Did I see, I don’t know how many threads back, that one of our moderators here at ws was also trying to arrange en AMA with JB?

That terminology was highly debated in earlier threads, if I recall correctly--so if the storage was associated with a condo, the term "storage locker" makes perfect sense. And Cassie emphatically called it a storage locker. jmo
I cannot see that. They had a storage locker, not a storage unit.
She is a bit dotty, but she said she stayed there sometimes and visited them there, so I guess they lived there..maybe not for a year, but some time. jmoIf B and G really did live together in a Laundrie-owned condo prior to their van life trip, I wonder why it was never mentioned that they did not in fact live with the Laundries? Not by Gabby’s family or by Cassie or anyone but Rose? It seems IMO to be a relevant piece of information.
Of course the Petito/Schmidt families should only share what they wish with us, because it’s not our business, but it does seem to put the backstory of B and G in a different light.
If it’s even true. For one, I see LOTS of plastic and other no-no’s in the 20 posted condo pictures, if that is where B and G lived. For another, I can’t shake my feeling about Rose. To me she seems to insert herself into the story a lot. Now she claims she fears for her safety if Brian is on the run, and also that she has a stalker.
But maybe I’m completely in the wrong and she’s a vitally important source of information.
I’ve no idea.
Most condos in Florida have storage either inside or on the porch of the condo. This is so owners can store personal property there that renters can't access. If Venice is a tourist or snowbird area, condos are often bought as rentals and furnishings are included in the sale unless specified. If it isn't cleaned out by the deadline, you have to pay the rental fees to the new owners. This can run about $150 dollars a day, depending on the rental fee. The only reason I know this is because a friend of mine had to pay $1,500 for a 7 day extension because her new house wasn't ready (and she sold hers furnished, but couldn't move her personal stuff). I'm sure it varies by state, but I know this is pretty typical in Florida. So it would have been significantly more expensive than a regular storage unit.I don't want to confuse things about this new news, but I lived in a condo & we had a storage locker included, in the basement. When the condo sold, we still had some time to clear our stuff out of both the unit & locker, about 5 weeks. (We were renters, so I don't know the actual closing terms for the owners.)
So I wonder if it was a storage locker in the condo building? That makes a bit more sense to me than a rented unit elsewhere. As in, flying home to save money by emptying a rental locker to save money (as reported) seems not at all economical. But, what if it was a storage locker assigned to the condo unit, & it wasn't a question necessarily of saving money, but that time was up?
JMO!
No established history unless i'm mistaken. Even GP father(?) the mad one (rightfully so) said he seemed ok, I'd have to think if I were in his shoes and knew of any events he'd have made it known. This is one thing missing, what were the relationships like between the families.Hardly ever IMO, in cases of domestic violence.
So GP and BL 'owned' it? If so and anything is in both their names property wise, this imo would blow any credit card charges out of the water. Perhaps the parents were dolling out the cash early so they could see their kids enjoy/benefit from it vs. leaving it to them when they're dead. Then BL/GP sold it knowing they wanted this vanlife and this was a major need to for their 'safety nest'. They were engaged correct? has that been debunked? In the article, Rose apparently said it was paid for by his parents...they owned it though, but who paid utilities? jmo
MOO Gabby's stuff has been tossed out. Either the parents didn't want it at the house or BL didn't care about Gabby's stuff as a way to control her more.Remember the story that the parents said it was ok, that they had room for the stuff at their house. But LE said they are unaware of any of Gabby's stuff at the Laundrie home. So did he pitch it or destroy it in anger? Is it with the alligators in the reserve. Sheesh.....jmo
Does anyone, offhand, remember if CaL ever said Gabby and BL actually lived with the Laundrie parents? Or did she just say that she and her family lived together with them at that address until the parents moved in? (And we just assumed Gabby and BL stayed there ~ living with the parents?) I'll see what I can find.Wow, that's an interesting development, if true. Now I'm questioning where it was established that Gabby & BL lived with his parents?
Thank you for sharing.
Loved his plants so much he abandoned them? Hmmm. jmoIMO, this really makes sense. There may not have been anything nefarious at all about the trip back to Florida. I've known people who have had to change their plans suddenly when their house/condo sold quickly. It certainly happens.
I will also say that all of the plants on the balcony coupled with what I believe are Tibetan prayer flags hanging over the balcony looks and feels very much like something GP and BL would have outside.
Again, MOO.
New details about home where Gabby & Laundrie lived are revealed by her friend

Well, there goes 2,000 posts of debates on living at home in your 20s! Sorry, I couldn’t resist MOO
I believe it was in the Good morning america interview, Can't find the video right now though. CaL did say that Gabby and BL lived with them but I can't recall her saying they stayed and lived with the parents when they moved in.Does anyone, offhand, remember if CaL ever said Gabby and BL actually lived with the Laundrie parents? Or did she just say that she and her family lived together with them at that address until the parents moved in? (And we just assumed Gabby and BL stayed there ~ living with the parents?) Cassie Laundry said he came home to empty a storage locker. Wouldn't she have mentioned it was a condo instead?So...was the "storage unit" really a condo?
Makes sense as to why they needed 5 days to empty the "storage unit".
Considering she also "misremembered" when she last saw BL. It's not out of the realm of possibility to consider she "misremembered" about this as well.Cassie Laundry said he came home to empty a storage locker. Wouldn't she have mentioned it was a condo instead?
In the article, Rose apparently said it was paid for by his parents...they owned it though, but who paid utilities? jmo
Well TBH there are many things that don't make sense when you put all the information together. It Gabby lived at the condo, why was North Port PD the police dept in charge if she never lived at the Laundrie’s house? Why is there a memorial being built in North Port if she didn’t live there? None of this makes sense.
Maybe they worked on the van at his parents, maybe not allowed to at the condo. Just a guess. jmoHmm… why would the neighbors have said that gabby was living with the Laundries and used to see her there? Why would her parents and LE and the media be saying she lived with the Laundries? Is Rose the only source for this info?
You don’t think they have any hard evidence? Just because you have not heard it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. moo but I don’t think they’d be searching this hard for him without evidence.
Right. She just let us assume that.jmoI believe it was in the Good morning america interview, Can't find the video right now though. CaL did say that Gabby and BL lived with them but I can't recall her saying they stayed and lived with the parents when they moved in.
The condo could've been staged to sell with their furniture in the rooms. The condo could've been sold on July 30th, but the new people didn't move in until August and BL had to help move furniture out. It could've sold faster than they expected? IMO.So...was the "storage unit" really a condo?
Makes sense as to why they needed 5 days to empty the "storage unit".
If you/we believe the older neighbors; the wife of that couple said that Gabby and BL were working on the van in the parents driveway just before they left for NY.Maybe they worked on the van at his parents, maybe not allowed to at the condo. Just a guess. jmo
