Well, that would be a weird, and unwarranted "confession" to make to police, that they were both bipolar but unmedicated, if they'd never been diagnosed. If your theory is true, it could mean that when police asked BL if he was on meds, saying he was acting "hyper", he may have made up the "bipolar" story to explain his (at that moment) "hyper" state. But he seems to have calmed down pretty quickly, and changed his demanor entirely, to being kind of chummy and jovial with police. They worked at Publix in North Port
I think they self diagnosed themselves!

Sorry about that.cannot read this as I am in Europe and it is blocked to me.
Anyone remember the runaway bride?
I think this is the point:I didn't see any new information there.
GP's family can't discuss their relationship, but BL's sister can on GMA?Brian Laundrie's sister downplays fighting with Gabby Petito
Brian Laundrie’s sister says it was “typical” for her brother and his girlfriend Gabby Petito to fight and then take a break from each other.
Asked about the police bodycam footage of officers speaking to a sobbing Petito and Laundrie after they got into a fight in Utah on Aug. 12, Cassie said: “It looked typical of both of them. Whenever they’d fight they’d take a break and be fine.”
Cassie admitted she hadn’t yet spoken to her brother after he returned to Florida in the couple’s van without Petito on Sept 1.

SB said she spotted the couple’s van on Aug. 25 and contacted police.
“It had the black ladder on the back and the two black rooftops on top—the two bars—and we made the comment that would be the perfect little camper van to go around in,” Baker said.
Investigators are hoping more people come forward with information regarding the case.
“You never know what you’ve got in a photo,” said Teton County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Clayton Platt. “Low and behold there was a van that matches the description of this van in this case. All those little pieces can be pieces in the puzzle to help us figure out where Gabby is.”

But didn’t Petito herself admit on the bodycam footage that the reason she was hitting him (while driving) was because “he wouldn’t stop telling her to calm down”? Not because he was taking the car or worried he would steal it/abandon her. Some of the criminal offenses BL could have been charged with, had he not somehow been allowed to deflect most blame to the owner of the vehicle, the non-driver:

Yet, a woman is threatened with arrest because she physically tried to stop the thief. So, in carjackings is the victim, the owner of the car, usually threatened with prosecution for trying to keep their own vehicle?

Note: I could not find the penalties for grabbing a woman's face hard enough to leave marks on her, and to cause her pain an hour or more later. Battery? Assault? both?
Exactly. To blame a victim is to silence the victim. Blame shifting empowers the abuser, who then bullies his way into control, creating sympathy for himself. Brian is attempting to lessen his guilt by putting Gabby on public trial. Just how far will Brian go to lessen the guilt he feels? Is he feeling a need to justify his actions?I think this is the main reason Gabby's parents don't want people focusing on this one incident. It portrays Gabby as the abuser instead of the victim in this case.
She is the one who is missing and Brian is the one who refuses to help LE find her or search for her himself. That alone makes him look guilty.
Portraying her as the abuser is just a distraction and makes him look like the victim.
I'm glad to hear that because she could be in Yellowstone.I think Gabby’s dad is trying to retrace her steps.
Yellowstone included.

To those that are unaware of the term "Reactive Abuse", cited from the website www.breakthesilencedv.org. below.
I think all law enforcement, courts, attorneys, etc. need a complete overhaul with education and training on DV. Coercive control, emotional abuse, etc. Seems there are way too many cases lately that involve some sort of abuse and not enough education.
"Reactive abuse occurs when the victim reacts to the abuse they are experiencing. The victim may scream, toss out insults, or even lash out physically at the abuser. The abuser then retaliates by telling the victim that they are, in fact, the abuser".

That statement stuck out to me too! Very telling! That’s interesting.
