Did the testimony of Jason Autry, friend of ZA, SA, and the others not convince you he participated in the disposal of HB's remains that day? Do you have doubt that his story of seeing ZA shoot HB with that pistol is true? Do you think Autry made it all up that he saw HB wrapped in a multi-color barn blanket in the back of ZA's truck and they both thought she was dead, only to find out she wasn't? What about his testimony he went to the grandma's dilapidated barn to check if there was any evidence left inside since he learned that's where HB was taken and raped? He not only knew and helped dispose of HB's remains, he knew details of the rape itself, as told to him by ZA. He was the star witness and he nailed the coffin shut on ZA being the one who killed HB.

It doesn't matter what the defense attempts to show or suggest, the state is knocking down each grenade thrown by the defense in their re-direct.

Additionally...

Have we ever really been told a "logical" motive for ANY perp that has kidnapped, drugged, raped, and killed a young lady?

There is no logical motive for these actions...

Other than they have a criminal mindset...

Predators' (such as these) main motive is power and twisted needs...

All JMO...

Ok. So. After a mini panic attack that ZA could be found not guilty or a hung jury or whatever. I remember there was no DNA evidence and Scott Peterson still was found guilty and sentenced to death.

Medical people...is it possible to differentiate blood from say a nosebleed from a cut somewhere on the body? There was a pool of blood besides the many drops that were originally reported.

Just a wild guess here...

But perhaps the amount of blood vs. pooling vs. splatter vs. trajectory, etc. may help investigators make fairly firm conclusions about what part of the body the blood came from...

Just some thoughts...

I'm not a medical person anymore but I'm going to say no.

But I want to believe the presence of other things (like mucous from a nosebleed) could be detected. I was watching a CSI and this dude made his nose bleed all over his apartment and nothing they had told them it was from his nose. Splatter and all.

However the drops then the pool make me think nose.

From what I've heard thus far, I've not heard a motive. Did I miss it? (I'm not being a smart butt, I want this to be resolved and resolved well.) I hope there was a clear motive laid out and I've missed it. But it seems like, since I've watched most all of the trial, it should be coming up pretty often. But I'm not hearing it.

I am just thinking that the motive seems clear---in that there was a gang rape/abduction murder. That right there is the motive.

My mind just keeps going back to the beginning of Holly's abduction and what really happened. I feel there is so much more to this story that we don't know.

Is it true a piece of paper with Holly 's name and address was found?

:seeya:

Respectfully, what I saw build to a crescendo today was the FACT that the TBI and LE made HUGE mistakes from the get-go by NOT following up with ZA and the rest of the A's from the very beginning !

WHY ? ZA, JA, and the rest of the A's were NO strangers to LE ... again, WHY didn't TBI check their alibis for that day from the get-go?

The question is WHO was protecting the A's ?

3 Years later they check alibis ? Really ?

Oh that's right, the new District Attorney took office then BAM ! Action on Holly's case ... remains found ... arrests ...

I still want to know more details about that so called "beef" that D.A. Matt Stowe had with the TBI after he got a look at Holly's case ...

:moo:

Respectfully, you have forgotten the timeline. Stowe was worthless, did little, and got fired from the case without doing much.

The phone call, arrests, etc all came well before Stowe was elected. Sometime in Jan-Feb-Mar 2014. They had already locked up 3 of the defendants and (generally speaking) were already headed to trial and building a case when Stowe was elected in Aug 2014.

It is true that someone stumbled across the remains a few weeks after that, in Sept 2014, but no indication that he did anything to cause it, just the blind luck of having been handed the case and then someone stumbling across a bucket and all.

When Stowe didn't fulfill the work of handling the case he had been handed, and was missing discovery deadlines, he was fired in Dec 2014 from having it. I think his beef with TBI stemmed from his incompetence and failure to handle things as the court had asked, and he wanted to blame someone else.

Hey - lots to catch up on (again!)

Zach is so much larger than Holly that I can imagine her being physically picked up and put into the truck. I think someone else was in the truck waiting and drove off as soon as the kidnapper had Holly in the truck.

I think that Shayne & Dylan (in back seat) were all in the white pickup after ZA kidnapped her.... someone has to "hold" her and another drives.

re the nail polish - I guess there were no prints on the bottle - I'm sure they would have mentioned that if there were, eh? Too much of coincidence to me!

So either he lied on the stand, or he doesn't remember it. IF you watch that portion of the trial, watch his neck and head turn red. He remembers, IMO. And was shocked it was brought up.

I too think he remembers "what" - but was a little shocked when the Def atty brought up. I'm sure we will hear about this when Def. presents their case - if they have one....

I'm wondering - now that Clint knows ZA kidnapped Holly - does his height or weight or anything "about" ZA that Clint can offer that they have the "right" person?

Actually, he didn't really help dispose of HB's remains - he attempt to, but ZA took her somewhere else by himself, because JA had to get to his GF's work place at a certain time. I believe they left her in the back of the pickup. Or am I wrong??
ok - just read this:

Jason was there when the body was disposed of? I thought he left to go meet his wife/girlfriend after ZA shot her and asked a few days later what he finally did with the body.

I thought so! Thanks!

k - everytime I see "JA" - I think Jodie Arias....

Both Victor and Autry claim this fight happened on the 13th, two days after Holly's abduction.

So - that would actually make the 15th....

Ok - so we are going 1/2 day today - does that mean 9am to 12pm?? or 9am to 1pm? Anyone know when they might quit for the day! Just curious!

See you all back here in about 3 1/2 hours! :seeya:

This is SUCH an excellent point! I needed to hear this said exactly like this. Thank you!!!

I did not see the testimony on the nail polish but read a few different reporter accounts during testimony yesterday...

including Fox 13 who wrote something to the affect of: is it a bottle? Or a paint fleck? This was not clear in testimony.

****
So when you ask about prints on the bottle, I don't know if it was a bottle or not. We didn't see a pic of this and it was just mentioned that somehow the same color nail polish was discovered at Zach's home ----again I doubt it was a bottle 3 years later discovered at his home, but I'm thinking a paint fleck at his home and either a paint fleck or a bottle found with the remains. Amazing that a nail polish paint fleck would even be around 3 years later at his home. But that seems pretty incriminating if it is truly a match and was tested chemically to be the same.

Just more around this would be helpful.

Motive for ZA and the others to kill HB:

They knew they were going to rape her. They didn't want to get caught and if they left her alive she would be able to identify them and they would be caught immediately and end up in prison for decades and possibly life. So, to keep that from happening, she had to die and they had to get rid of the body so it wouldn't be found, so they wouldn't be caught and go to prison.

I think it's as simple and as complicated as that.

As the prosecutor said during his opening, "they almost got away with it, but ZA couldn't stop talking and people knew he was involved."

yes the is motive enough for this bunch and honestly very little value for life amongst this crowd...killing her just not a bill deal to them and minus the tenacity of the family they would have gotten away with it.

A motive for a bunch of methheads? Because they wanted too.

There will never be anything logical to it or anything that makes sense to a sane person.

Reading items #2 in the article linked below is a bombshell IMO if true - but I can't believe it's true...
Item #1 is also a surprise, again if true.

I would love to hear from Natalie and she might be on the witness list however she is living in Venice Italy and cannot be subpoened....she was a stripper in Parsons and honestly the 3 some comment is not a stretch...I expect just about anything from this group.
