Regardless of the verdict, I hope TBI is asked hard questions about this case and their many, obvious failures. And that people are held accountable.

And I also want some answers as to the tiff between Gwyn and Stowe. It caused a further delay in the proceeding of this matter. I believe the taxpayers deserve some answers. I think it was because Stowe saw the bungling of the initial case and Gwyn was insulted.

;is there any other reason this guy would be there? Has he been there routinely?
great question he hasnt been there so far in the trial
hoping for a verdict

Back in the day, chain of custody would have been an issue in a videotaped piece of evidence. With everything digital, the issue is with finding the original source of digital images. If stored on a phone, it would be the phone and the sim card. If it had been uploaded to some platform, it would be within the platform system as well as the phone. ZA told Corey the video existed and was online b/c he was not going to access ZA's phone. So, I believe it would have been accessible to LE and most likely not excluded.

I hope people remember that ZA said to Corey that when he got out ZA would call and give him where the video was. Corey saw a number that looked like a jail number and didn't answer it b/c he did not want to get involved in another felony. I think from his perspective this was the right move. He has seen people railroaded before. Then, his phone minutes ran out and the phone from the jail was done.

:seeya:

Your reference is to Gwynn:

He has held a few pressers regarding Holly's case ... I don't remember the date of his last presser - it's been a while ...

JMO but he is there for a reason today ...

 He was not there for the trial when his boys and former boys testified ... so why now?

I wonder if the TBI guy is there as a 'just in case' there's a verdict. Just like many of us may believe Fridays are great verdict days. I dunno-- I don't trust anything from the TBI after this case.

There are four main scenarios that could play out during this trial:

Scenario 1: The jury finds Adams guilty of first-degree murder. If this happens, sentencing will begin right away, and jurors will have to decide if Adams deserves the death penalty.

Scenario 2: The jury finds Adams guilty of lesser charges. In this case, the judge would be responsible for sentencing, which would happen at a later date.

Scenario 3: The jury finds Adams not guilty. If this is the case, Adams would go back to the Williamson County jail and walk free after processing.

Scenario 4: The jury cannot reach a verdict, causing a hung jury.

BBM: Respectfully, I disagree ...

I have followed this case from the get-go, and had high hopes that a great case would be presented by the State for Justice for Holly ...

Actually, I am still stunned by the case the State presented -- or should I say LACK of a case/evidence -- the State presented. I was not expecting much from the defense, but the State, I was expecting much more, considering the impression they gave to the public.

I just cannot ignore the news stories regarding "Prosecutorial Misconduct" and "Corruption" in Tennessee:

Shelby County DA Amy Weirich ranked highest in Tennessee for misconduct

Katie Fretland, USA TODAY NETWORK – Tennessee
Published 4:31 p.m. CT July 13, 2017 | Updated 12:22 p.m. CT Aug. 1, 2017

A Harvard Law School project ranked Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich highest in Tennessee for prosecutorial misconduct in a study released Thursday.

Researchers with the Fair Punishment Project reviewed court opinions involving allegations of prosecutorial misconduct in California, Louisiana, Missouri and Tennessee from Jan. 1, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2015.

"In the time period we reviewed, the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office had the highest number of misconduct findings—with more than a dozen—and the most reversals in Tennessee," according to the report.

Just saying - NOT accusing: Jennifer Nichols, the prosecutor in Holly's case, is from the Shelby County D.A. office ...

And then the corruption:

8 former Decatur County officials indicted after investigation

Eight former Decatur County government employees and officials were indicted after an investigation and audit by the Office of the Comptroller of Tennessee, according to a news release.

Also indicted were former mayoral administrative assistant Martha Graves, former EMA director James Kevin Cagle, former Solid Waste director Robert W. Haynes, former EMS director Mark R. Hayes, former Chief Deputy of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department William Scott Cagle, and Pamela Brasher, former Jail Administrator of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.

Too many things just do not make sense ...

Actually in the parts of my quote you bolded I was referring to the Bobos - not the DAs office. I believe the Bobos are privy to info we aren't and are satisfied the guilty ones have been charged. And I believe if they (Bobos) were not satisfied they would still be looking for the truth as I believe their only goal is justice for Holly. I cannot speak for corruption in the Shelby County DAs office. I cannot speak for corruption in any office in Decatur County. But I stand by my statement - I do not believe these defendants are being railroaded. We will just have to agree to disagree and move on. I certainly have no hard feelings for anyone who respectfully disagrees with any of my opinions, lol

I am quoting my own post to add:

Even if they did find a copy of the video from say, the Pearcy Brothers' phone that was sent to them by someone it would still not be admissible. The state would be required to produce the original to make sure nothing had been altered in any manner. A copy would be legally inadmissible.

It is like a copy of a Will or a copy of any document for that matter, it is not legally recognized in a court of law.

Oh goodness. I am terrible with technology outside my cellphone and laptop. I can't even hook up a VCR or DVD player, LOL. I wonder how one determines that a cell phone video is the original. Does copying it create some sort of marker that could be identified? I'm just wondering, if you can't find the original phone, how would you ever know? Any ideas, Websleuthers? Thanks!

Just kidding but considering one asked what is discovery.

1st BBM: Oh I am sorry ... my mistake as I thought you were referring to the Prosecutor's office.
However, my comments are aimed at the Prosecutor's office (NOT the family).

2nd BBM: Agree ... yes ... and just think how BORING it would be here if all agreed

Praying he is found guilty because he did this heinous crime and chances are he will do it again if he's found not guilty. JMO
