OT - Chilly Willy is in da house again! Nice to see and hear from you again.

Hi Zippy. Nice to see you and thanks for the welcome back. Not sure I'll be here long, just wanted to read the thoughts about the latest motions.

I agree with you completely, a woman who has a child out of wedlock and supports and loves and protects that child is to be applauded, not condemned. However, Z(no F)G, did not do those things. She had many children, with many men, and let the state support them. She did not provide them with a stable home, she did not present herself as a good role model, she committed crimes, ran out on her bills, and was even accused of neglect and abuse. I can't help but feel that if this woman was not suing Casey, posters would be tearing her apart, not trying to make her into a saint.

How many different men did she bring into the house without concern for the safety of her children? What if the boy she seduced and provided with alcohol was your son, would you still be singing Z(no F)G's praises?

She's told many lies in the process of filing this suit. If she really was harmed by Casey, she'd have the truth on her side. Lies wouldn't be necessary.

Ugh none of those things mean she can't be victimized by FCA.

I prefer to think that Morgan was trying to expose Casey's true fraud against many. ZG was the symbol for that.

Unfortunately, she was a bad character.

Casey offended so many people in general that there is no one person who can say it was personally against them. But just consider the huge number of people that her selfish lies incorporated ~ family, friends, acquaintances, movie stars, people who thought they spotted Caylee, Kronk, Tim Miller and all of the searchers.

So, no, I don't believe he's dishonest or has jello for brains. I think he's just trying to do the impossible ~ to stand up for the little guys who might not have any legal standing but sure as heck should have a moral one.

I wish I could agree with you, but I can't. Morgan did 'the little guys' no favors by filing this lie-filled suit on behalf of a person who is so obviously a scammer. Instead he's made Casey look like a victim and cast doubt on the motives of the other plaintiffs.

I believe Morgan suffers from Padilla syndrome - he's so desperate to put himself in the media that he'll lie and scheme to do it, not caring who he tramples on along the way.

True, a person doesn't have to be of stellar character in order to be victimized, but they do have to present an HONEST account of how, exactly, they were harmed. Z(no F)G has not done that. The only thing she suffered as a result of Casey's lies is a short interview with police officers who arranged a meeting with her. Anything else she did to herself.

How many of the other 36 ZG's have something in common with Casey's ZFG? Maybe one of them drives a silver car, or is the right age, or matches the physical description. You don' t see them crying victim and filing suit.

I thought I remembered that her children were upset about being teased at school because of their mother being the Zanny that took Caylee.

Who knows if that's actually true? If Z(no F)G hadn't made the media rounds pretending to be the person Casey accused, it definitely would not have happened. Do ZG's kids have the last name G or do they have their fathers' last names?

As far as I know none of the other 35 live in Kissimmee and visited Sawgrass apts..

Casey's ZFG did not live in Kissimmee either. There is absolutely nothing to indicate that Casey was aware of Z(no F)G's visit to Sawgrass.

True. But they might mean her reputation has not been damaged in a way that is compensable under the law.

Oh My! So are you saying the LE didn't track her down and interview her - which the media picked up and ran with it as did Cindy? As did FCA via Cindy? Gosh - how did I slip into that fantasy?:waitasec:

As soon as Casey's statement about Zenaida was made public, every amateur sleuth, print and media journalist in Florida was talking about this particular one, with a connection to Sawgrass apts.. it wasn't long before national media then found her.
Once her identity was out there, it put her and her family at risk, and Casey who could have publicly exonerated her, chose not to, in order to perpetuate the story she was involved in Caylee's 'disappearance'.

IIRC Dominic Casey, who represented Cindy was fighting tooth and nail not to be deposed by M&M because he did not want to reveal just how much the Anthonys were investigating and slandering her..

According to Charles Green, Casey's attorney, in his motion to the court asking for the case to be dismissed that at the time of the defamation Zenaida was living at Motel 6, Kissimmee.

Did you read the motions? The media didn't go after Z(no F)G, she went to them. Casey can't be held responsible for the reckless actions of amateur sleuths. She said right from the beginning that this particular woman was NOT involved and never swayed from that.

And she was, but Casey's ZFG had NO connection to Kissimmee.

LE has every right to "track her down" as you call it, they already knew Casey's story was false when they met with her. Z(no F)G choose to go to the media, they didn't go to her. Cindy never at any time accused or even implied that Z(no F)G was involved.

Casey would be having a field day reading these recent posts- just sayin'!

I did read the full motion and the accompanying document, and Greene used ZG's own statements during her deposition to craft them. ZG apparently said that the first media interview was by a FL TV station without her face being shown, but then after that she herself was back in the media with her full image shown standing next to her lawyer, Morgan. ZG herself admitted that was the first time her full facial image was used, so at that time she would have been visually recognizable. So if that is true, ZG indeed showed her full identity to the media before the media did it without her knowledge or approval, unfortunately. Reading the full motion and accompanying document was an eye-opener for me, at least regarding what ZG apparently said during her deposition, as this is the first time we are reading what purportedly was said by ZG during that long day of the depo. this is in no way my opinion about anything, I am just stating the facts as I read them in the documents.

and unfortunately FCA aint' talkin about how she came up with the name ZFG.

IMO, MOO, etc.

ETA: Remember, we also have not yet read Morgan's reply, so we will see what he has to say about this, he certainly feels he has a case.

2nd ETA: have no idea how I got 2 posts going here, but I added the above.

Right, not only did ZG choose to show herself to the media, she had her son call and set up the first interview.

Never during any of the interviews did she correct the misconception about her name, nor did she point it out to Morgan's firm (yeah, right) when she signed the original documents which included the incorrect name dozens of times. Can you imagine not noticing in a legal document that your name was included as Mary Jane-Smith when it is actually Mary Ann Smith?

:waitasec:

That is not how I remember it..Media station Local 6 tracked her down, they found her.

I saw and remember the very first, the original interview, with her.
Local 6 Louis Bolden was the reporter who interviewed her in August 2008

Louis Bolden, Local 6, said it was not easy to find her but after 3 weeks they managed to track her down. He said the whole news department had been working on it, investigating it and it didn't just fall into their laps.

She did the interview with Louis Bolden, but she was not shown, or I should say her figure was darkened so we couldn't see her.

I have been trying to find the original interview...so far I have come up with the NG transcripts of the night the exclusive interview aired in Orlando and Louis Bolden appeared on NG and told her how they had been looking for her and found her.
