ZG Hires Attorney - Lawsuit Against Casey Anthony

I think ZG has a case. It really does not matter if KC IDs her or not. It appears KC got the name from the application from Sawgrass. No matter if someone sees someone or not if you make a false statement against someone it would be slander and/or libel.

Look at this way say you pick up a phone book just flip through it and pick a name. Then you go around saying or writing this person did something they did not do or was something they were not, and you know it is not true. You could be sued for slander or libel.

Don't shoot me for this, but does this lady have the full hyphenated name ZFG? Because if she does not, then she is not going to win anything. Casey gave that name to the detectives in the very beginning... the entire name, not just ZG. We learned early on that there are dozens of people with that name in FL alone, but I would think not many with the whole ZFG name. OCSO found this woman... did they ask if she had both last names? And since they showed Casey her picture or pictures of several women and she did not identify her... she cannot have much grounds to sue CASEY.. she might do better suing the media or OCSO. Casey did not ID her as the babysitter.
As for suing the Anthonys... they had nothing to do with it. Casey is an adult.

Yeah, we may be in the minority, but I totally agree with you. This particular ZG has not been implicated by either OCSO or KC. So, should all the other ZGs in Central FL or the whole state (or even the entire US) file suit as well?

I personally think this is a person who is just trying to see how she can benefit from this awful situation. The comments about the attorney being an "ambulance-chaser" substantiates this, for me.

I am SO glad she is doing this, I only wish she had a better attorney. Still, someone needs to show KC that she can't just use people and get by with it.

Casey never said the kidnapping ZG was the one who viewed the apartment -as a matter of fact, she specifically said it was not her when shown her picture. She also described her as being much younger and not having kids. I don't see how this suit could possibly be successful.

Hi - new here, but had a thought about this. Casey had to say, "No, that's not THE Zenaida Gonzales" when she was shown the picture, because if she had said "yes, that's her", they would have completely disproven her story right then and there. Once LE came up with the real ZG (who's identity Casey had obviously lifted), she had to say it was a different ZG so she could continue to stick with the ZG kidnapping story at that point. I don't think Casey thinks her moves out too far in advance, she seems to just spin things to maintain control of her story when she's under pressure at that particular moment. She used ZG's identity until it was going to do her in - even if she did say that she couldn't identify the picture later. By that time the damage to ZG had been done. I'm not a legal eagle, but it seems to me ZG should ABSOLUTELY have a case against Casey!!

Actually, she was shown about a dozen pics. To be honest, we've "used" her name more than Casey. She actually came forward on her own and acknowledged the connection. I think everyone here knows how I feel about Casey. I'm just not sure this will work.
PS- this would be like the Rockefellers suing that guy up in Mass. Hey I wonder if they are?

Casey specifically excluded this particular ZG. It is the media and websites that have continued to slander this ZFG. Casey, to my knowledge, has not been in the press personally slandering her, nor have her parents or attorney.

Yep, Casey excluded her......

However, *if* this ZG did not want her name/personal info discussed in the media & on websites she shouldn't have put it in the WWW and she could have made her internet sites private.

I too, have never seen where any Anthony mentioned ZG's children's names.

OK,

1. Nobody is denying her right to sue.
2. Nobody is slamming her for doing so.
3. Everyone so far on this thread it seems feels bad for what happened to her.
4. I personally hope she wins. But I doubt that big time.
5. We were not supposed to discuss this particular person as a POI in the Caylee disappearance because Law Enforcement cleared her. I believe she is only being mentioned now because of her personal lawsuit against Casey. (someone asked before it was locked – I was typing this while it was being locked lol)
6. We are not supposed to use full names ever of anyone I do believe, standard rule –someone asked this also.

Now what most of the people are pointing out about the probability she will lose this case is:

Casey specifically excluded her as a person of interest in this case and said specifically that it is not her nanny. Her supposed nanny does go by the same name and has the same names of this persons two children this person was at the place Casey supposedly dropped her child off the very next day to view an apartment. Casey did cause the stink that the media BLEW OUT OF PROPORTION, but Casey specifically told the cops this person is not her nanny. This will be very strong for Casey's behalf in this suit and the defense will lay all the blame on the media. I just think a jury will throw it out. Well an unbiased one anyway. Finding an unbiased Jury will be difficult but not impossible. many people I speak with are not even following this case much at all, then there are one that are also.....

I hope she wins, I just don’t think the odds are in her favor.

I'm glad ZG is suing! It's not a matter of not identifying this particular ZG, Casey and the entire Anthony family has dragged the name, ZFG, through the mud, to the point where anyone with that name is automatically suspect.

I hope the lawsuit is all encompassing, as the Anthony family as a whole has repeated Casey's lie about ZFG as a fact.

ZG, who has filed he lawsuit, is not named ZFG. Casey was very definate about the -F being part of the name.

I partly think this is ridiculous. If anyone isn't hiring this lady or letting her rent a place because they BELIEVE what casey has said then that's pathetic on their part - the complex and/or employer. ANYONE can see casey is a liar.

Also, it STILL needs to be cleared up as to HOW casey knew THIS EXACT lady with this exact name was at sawgrass that exact day. IT IS NOT a coincidence and it cannot just be thrown away. SOMEHOW casey either knew this particular ZG, met up with her that day, talked to her that day, etc. SOMETHING is fishy. ZG said she was looking at apartments all down that road that day, so what happened that casey knew to pick these apartments and this lady?

Something isn't sitting right with me about this particular ZG, and i don't think highly of her at all for taking some of that same blood money!

Some clarity:

Casey never laid claims to knowing this person and she naver laid claims that she knew she was ever there.

That said, many many people myself incuded theorize that she did as you mentioned somehow ran into her or otherwise through some other nefarious methods contrived information about her and her association with Sawgrass. Then used that information as background information for her own "Zani Nanny" story.

Leading this poor woman into the path of the out of control Hurricane Casey, and her lawsuit against Casey for causing her troubles.

I don't get your point. Casey said it was NOT the same ZG. You think ZG should be able to sue because Casey, who is a liar, did not identify her? Casey didn't identify me as the kidnapper either, but since she lies, does that mean she really is accusing me?

Casey described ZG as African America/Puerto Rican who sometimes wears her hair sometimes straight, sometimes curly.

I think that will eliminate all other ZFGs but this one.

Not defending Casey.......but she also said ZFG was 25, no kids, going to school, lived in apt., had two roomates.......so does any of this fit the now *suing* ZG ??
