Is there an MSM mention of her cause of death? I've only seen things on social media that aren't allowed to be posted here. If there is an MSM article I'd like to see it because there's some discussion that could come from it.
I am very reluctant to state personal opinion as a certainty. There's many reasons a little kid might take a backpack with them. Maybe they want to collect rocks and need to put them somewhere. Maybe they want to take their doll collection. Maybe they put on a sweater to go outside but want to...
Jeez this livestream quality is horrible. It's a video call. CTV is the only place I can find carrying it (CBC and Global aren't) and they aren't transcribing.
I've been reading the most recent thread on Travis Decker, whose remains were found 0.74 miles from the campground where his daughters were. It took 3 months of a full scale manhunt to find him. There's a lot of more elevation changes in that terrain, but it's proof that it's easy to miss...
Because of Facebook's Canadian news outlet ban many reporters are using their personal FB accounts to post news. Lisa Sygutek of the Crows Nest Pass Herald says that the RCMP are expecting to provide an update this morning:
NZ seems to take suppression orders quite seriously - I've seen a few social media comments on this case removed with a message that it's by the request of the Government Communications Security Bureau. Would be interesting to know how many times Websleuths has been reached out to by government...
Well, here's hoping that visitation is supervised until CB is a teenager at least. I doubt it will be though, guessing she'll be released from the psychiatric hospital by the end of the year with promises to keep taking her meds and custody of CB by the end of 2026.
I don't think there's a blanket answer to this. There's too many variables, including the culture of the local LE, the culture of the community, the culture of the local justice system, etc. Discretion and nuance is built into the system.
The investigation will always focus on finding the...
Sometimes I think I spend too much time here. My local morning news has a ticker running at the bottom of the screen and all it said was 'baby likely died of abuse before being reported missing' and I knew they were referring to Emmanuel. Same thing with Jayme Closs being found, a vague message...
For those of you who think the kids may be hidden away with relatives, do you think it is or isn't with MBM's knowledge? I can't see why she would willingly send away only 2 of her kids, and she must know that as long as they're kept hidden she can't go see them.

The media likes to grab on to the sensational cases. Of course Jack and Lilly could be one of the ~50 stranger abductions, but IMO we don't talk enough about how rare they are.
Edit: I just took an even closer look at the...
This is a good point. IIRC, it was the band that came out and said the kids were members via their mother, not from MBM herself. You can be a member of a band and not be involved with it.
I have a friend who went through her family history and found a relative that qualified her for Metis...
