I'm speaking to the parents perspective. After the numerous hours spent with the parents they should have had the info they need. IF LE needs more info then LE has to do re-interviews with the attorney present. I can understand the parents saying that. As soon as the parents have a lawyer, LE knows the procedure, lawyer has to be present. If LE hadn't made disparaging remarks from the beginning they would have an easier time; the parents did the right thing getting representation. It seems like lE has a thin case.

LE should have had DNA from the beginning.

BBM: I do NOT recall LE making any disparaging remarks ...

IMO, LE has been extremely professional and very thorough in following up on leads, searches, etc.

LE's FOCUS and PRIORITY is to find Baby Lisa -- and I canNOT say the same for DB and JI !

And as to the parents getting "represenation" -- both DB and JI CHANGED their "stories" and timeline so many times, I lost count --

And THAT is WHY they need attorneys ...

MOO ...

DB & JI need representation because they're involved with LE in a missing persons/child case. Anyone who is speaking with LE due to a criminal case NEEDS to be represented by an attorney. This is my opinion but standard operating procedure.

Getting back on topic . . .

The coverage has been anything but favorable to his daughter Debbie. The family’s attorneys will no longer allow interviews with her or Irwin.

“Most of my family says, ‘Trust nobody.’ But it’s making things get even worse, I think,” Netz says. So he and a couple other members of the extended family are speaking out, helping The Kansas City Star pull together some of the threads of Deborah Lee Netz Bradley’s life of 25 years.

Bold above by me: attorneys are not allowing any more interviews with DB & JI, so their family members are speaking out (trying to help).

Everything relating to that child and the people in the home is relevant and should be investigated NOW. That includes a possible secret about her parentage. It's called motive.

Snipped by me : I see no problem with retaining an attorney if you have a child/family member missing

But in less than ONE month, DB and JI have had 3 attorneys :

1. Cindy Short -- former local attorney.

2. John Picerno -- current local attorney.

3. Joe Tacopino -- who has represented "infamous" murderers such as Joran vanderSloot, Melanie McGuire

IMO ... it's one thing to hire a local attorney ... but when Joe Tacopino came on the scene, IMO, that SPOKE VOLUMES !

At this juncture WHERE Lisa is is more important than paternity. To assume that JI is not her blood father should, if ever, come later. No wonder DB's dad said what he did.

The paternity of Lisa is very important here ..IMO

Maybe senerios can play out if she is NOT JI's daughter....ie..

#1 Kidnapper is the real father...has Lisa safe and sound

#2 Kidnapper has a jealous wife that knows her husband fathered Lisa and wanted Lisa removed.

#3 The rumor itself, that Lisa is NOT Ji's daughter, could have prompted JI to request paternity test, all the sudden Lisa vanishes....

I can think of many more reasons it is important to know who Lisas father is.,

Yes but they had O'Brian for the Oct 8th questioning after they ended questioning on the 4th, which I understand was also cut short, then CS was representing them until JT showed up on the 17th. Through 3 legal representatives (now 4), they chose not to co-operate with LE in the way in which LE wanted them to. I don't know what this means but I find it hard to believe that 3-4 different attorneys all felt the same way and that it was best for the parent's not to co-operate based on what the parents have said about the original interviews.

MOO

I don't see how you can come to the conclusion how much they are not 'cooperating' when we're not getting the full story from LE as to what exactly they won't cooperate with. What if LE is putting some sort of stipulation in the interviews that the attorney (any attorney) wouldn't be comfortable with and strongly urge the parents not to take that stipulation? What if it's not just the attorney's that are advising them not to do it, but family as well?

You may well be right, but we all are making judgments on what they are and are not doing based on very limited info and that includes limited info from LE.

Is it the parents changing the timeline or the media changing the timeline? How many direct quotes has DB given to the media lately?

Stop believing everything the media is feeding you.

This is the first I have heard of a secret about her parentage. Has this been stated in the press or on t.v. or is it just speculation by some posters? tia

This quote still cracks me up. It is so delusional.

“My God, Debbie and Jeremy can’t even relax and smoke on the back porch without seeing hidden cameras popping out of brush. It’s horrible.”

Who thinks about relaxing when your baby is missing?

Those dang cameras keep reminding me of Lisa when I am just trying to relax.

I really wonder too if they are seeing real cameras or is it in their heads?

MOO ... Respectfully, I am NOT believing what the media is "feeding" me ...

I have been following this case from the beginning and have come to MY OWN CONCLUSIONS BASED ON THE FACTS and INTERVIEWS I HAVE SEEN that DB and JI are VERY DECEPTIVE, are NOT COOPERATING with LE, have BOTH changed their timeline several times, and have changed their "stories" several times ...

In addition to that, their "PI" Bill Stanton has also CHANGED their "stories" and timeline and has been SPINNING STORIES about "alleged sightings"

And these changes are TOO NUMEROUS to list in this thread ...

So back on topic ...

MOO ...

That pretty much hits the nail square on it's head. Actually, I can think of one other person who wanted to RELAX when their child was missing. The one whose trial this summer knocked MOST of us on our kiesters.... :maddening: :banghead: :furious:

Rumor, vicious rumor, maybe, but it keeps getting repeated. There is no warrant in this statement EXCEPT DB said LE said that JI was not Lisa's bio-father. NOTE that legally Lisa's father is DBs husband . . .

I haven't read an MSM article or seen a link that supports DB saying that LE told her or Jeremy that Pumpkin Pie was not JIs bio-kid but have seen it in the Lisa threads.

The Mother Hen article does suggest that DBs father said that:

1) officers called Debbie white trash
2) officers told her to cut the innocence act & that it was obvious she’d killed Lisa
3) officers said they’d found the body & showed her burnt clothes
4) officers "told Jeremy that Debbie had confessed to them that Lisa wasn’t his, even though she looks just like him! Eleven hours they talked with both Jeremy and Debbie, and when they asked for a break, the police announced they weren’t cooperating!”

The police deny those accusations. Legally, though, they can say anything they want in interviews and interrogations.

Hearsay at best . . .

Thank you and I agree and that was exactly what I was trying to point out. And after something like this is posted over and over some will begin to think it is a fact and repeat it as such. I personally think that Lisa looks just like JI and have thought so from the beginning. jmo

Exactly. And I'm definitely not saying her clear pattern of destructive behavior/avoidance has anything at all to do with her baby's disappearance. There are parents all over the place that are irresponsible, destructive, addicts, etc. But, it definitely COULD be a factor at play here.

If you are of the opinion she could have something to do with this, then yes - I believe this article laid out the pattern nicely. If you believe she is innocent in this, then the drinking, etc could be seen as a completely separate and extraneous issue, having nothing at all to do with an abduction. It is still a totally irresponsible decision to drink that much when you're solely responsible for your young kids, especially when one was apparently not feeling well. Time will tell - hopefully. :)

I'm leaning towards the possibility of DB being involved somehow. I'm not totally convinced of what happened or who all was involved though. If I'm wrong about her, I will be glad. I HOPE she is innocent - for BL's sake, for her other child's sake, for her whole family's sake. I am just an outsider making my assumptions based on perception and the facts at hand. Definitely MOO. :)

Lori_Texas,
I have a teeter totter thought pattern going on with DB. Could DB know what happened and covered it up? Or did something happen to Lisa and DB not know about it until after the fact? I don't know..........................did someone cover a terrific accident up for DB?
Was Lisa taken by someone?

Police spokesman Young responded that the last time the couple consented to an “unrestricted” interview was Oct. 8.

“What we need from them, and what we are not getting, is for them to sit down with our detectives and get answers to the questions we need answered,” Young said.

AND THEN:

The couple also receives five or six calls a day from investigators, said Short, who estimated that Bradley and Irwin each have spent about 40 hours answering police questions since Lisa disappeared.

Young acknowledged that the parents have been helpful.

“They’ve done other things, but when I say we’re not getting full cooperation, I’m saying we’re not getting what we need,” Young said.

Sounds to me like LE want them back for individual interviews without legal counsel and since they won't agree to that (and I don't blame them) they are not co-operating.

eta: bbm

:waitasec: Didn't another article come out later that stated otherwise?
