And premeditation happened no matter what, but....
Me and SO were discussing....well OK....arguing about whether Jodi first either stabbed or shot Travis in the shower. I was describing why I thought the shot came first and then I thought of one other possiblity I had never considered and just wanted to throw it out here.

My whole premise has been that Jodi totally under estimated what it would take to end someone's life. So, lets assume she did stab Travis first in the shower. Then as most people agree, he then ends up in front of the sink and then probably gets stabbed in the back of the head at this time, and ends up falling on floor and trying to crawl away where he gets stabbed in the back and finally gets his throat cut.
So, when she is finally dragging him back to the shower, and places him in the shower, what if poor Travis was still showing his last signs of life even after all that. Perhaps Jodi heard some more sounds from him as poor Travis was still fighting to stay alive. So then she takes out the gun to put the final shot to end what she started.

Just thought this could be another possiblity of why she finally ended up shooting him. If the shot came last.

So far my favorite "Yes or No?" has been:

ALV "...if that's how you want to take it."

JM: "YES OR NO. THAT'S how I want to take it!"

:rocker::floorlaugh:

:floorlaugh: OMG, that was hilarious!

And this one:

AV: *blah*blah*blather*blather*STALL*STALL*blah*blah*blah*

JM: Are you finished with your answer?

AV: Yes.

JM: Then answer my question.

BBM~ Exactly. Not self defence there whatsoever. Self defence would of been stab and leave. imo

Unfortunately for Einstein there's NO WAY to place a near decapitation under the umbrella of manslaughter by quarrel/crime of passion nonsense. Cutting someone's throat is deliberate and savage. Two possibilities there, neither speak to manslaughter or crime of passion.

1) she did it to silence him or 2) she wanted him dead asap. There were no hesitation marks, per Dr. Horn. For anyone on that jury to fail to grasp this concept would be a monumental breakdown in common sense.

Ick @ Showbiz tonight having Kaeto Kalin on the other night, and now has Mark Garegos on tonight, both are slimey, for different reasons, but still SLIMEY!

I think this is to shore up her original alibi for taking the gas cans--gas was cheaper in Utah. No idea why she needed all that gas in addition to filling the car up, too. She's a bad liar.
Especially when there are no shortage of gas stations here in the West, even in the desert!!!:banghead:

The people of Arizona paid ALV many $1000s. She spent 44 hrs. visiting with Jodi during 4 trips, one of which was conveniently timed to her daughter's wedding. She supposedly read many 1000s of correspondence between JA and TA. She indicated she stored all that in her trained brain, and purposely didn't interview anyone else. She presented her findings in court, but produced no written report beyond a few disjointed jottings like "manifesto?". She left AZ for CA in well-deserved disgrace imo.

So, in reality the 'jurors' paid her and RS that money as taxpayers while they sit there making less than 15.00 per day. That should really p_ss them off. jmo

So the defense is requesting this information? ty

They are requesting the info because the State is going to present it--I think they want the same documents that the State is going to present when the representatives from Tesoro and Walmart take the stand.

Come on Sleuth, NG is a tough cookie, really. I'm sure she's heard worse than our humorous comments on her barrette ;).

I'm sure you're right, but it's entirely against my principles to be a bully in any form. The last thing I want to do is hurt someone's feelings.

O/T :rocker: I bet your in Alberta!

:floorlaugh: No, alot of us Canadian Maritimers go west where the money can be made, that money earned pays our bills. LOL

But our hearts never leave our homes, and we all return to our homes eventually. :seeya:

They have no control over her. She probably gives them that dead stare and then whispers into JW's ear, "I know where you live."

Nurmi sits as far away from her as possible and won't even look at her.

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Goodnight everyone. Can't wait for tomorrowwww- tomorrowwww, I love you, tomorrow- you're only a day awayyyyyy.

I respectfully disagree. Self-defense would have involved running down the hall and out of the house away from the naked man. Going to get any weapon and returning to fight is a whole new ball game IMO.

I know! I always thought it was a stupid story to go with since if you are traveling a major Interstate, there are going to be gas stations! Since she was so tech-savvy, she should have known you can even map your route & find gas stations. For such a genius, she sure is lacking in the "believable story" arena.

If she is missing pages in her journal, then perhaps she ripped them out because her hand writting was different. That might of been during the time she broke her finger. A different hand writting would have been detected.

I don't think she ever broke her finger, I think sliced the tendon when the knife slipped from stabbing Travis from slippery blood. If Jodi had her finger broken from Travis, I bet the defense would have x-rays front and center, as it would still show the broken bone. Jodi couldn't visit a doctor after slicing those green apples, cutting it on a glass at Travis', slicing it at work or Margaritaville, or whatever story she has told recently. jmho.

I would also say she probably has been working on her diaries for a long time prior to killing Travis, in the very least to cover her stalking behavior and all the other behaviors she did, like hacking accounts, breaking and entering, stealing, murder. Jodi knows the difference between right and wrong...what is against the law.

It sounds to me like the Def is now using "the kitchen sink" move, throw in every possibility. There is an expression, something like taking the cooking spaghetti, throwing some against the wall and see if any stick

OR throwing the baby out with the bath water...which FCA actually did... The Judge is NOT going to allow any lesser included, she can't due to the Self Defense argument. The DT has become the Whirling Dervish Tasmanian Devils and they are going to go on and on and on with any motions of any kind until the jury actually starts to deliberate. And I bet, they'll keep filing motions until the Guilty verdict is read. Bumbling comes to mind when thinking of them. This jury gets it, and this jury will deliver Justice for Travis and that's all that will ever matter.

That one is priceless. He either turns around and shuffles papers on his desk, or stands there with his arms crossed and says that line. I LOVE IT!! :loveyou:

Right! Even if we give her the benefit of a doubt and say she was afraid to run out of gas....wouldn't five gallons be enough? At 30mpg she'll have 150 miles to get to a station. And her supposed route from Pasadena to SLC was I-15!

You're hitting the nail on the head here. The Defense has never entered medical evidence regarding her finger, and that's because they know it will not support her story. You can bet the jury has noticed that from the beginning -- when the obvious question in their minds would have been, "so why not prove your finger was broken and end all this controversy?" It's one of many rather insurmountable obstacles for our Einstein.
