Yeah, those knuckleheads didn't even find her guilty of negligent homicide. They just really, really wanted to go home.

Only four objections from JM and ever since then Nurmi has been making objections? I'm feeling good.

JM looks confident to me.

BTW, interesting choice for jodi's hair today. She never wears it pulled back like that when she is expecting to be grilled. She likes to hide behind the hair sheet. She must have been super confident this morning. It will be fun to watch her squirm without her hair shield in the face of tough questions from the jury.

That's also gonna make it harder to hide the fake crying.

long time lurker, finally made a name...

:welcome:

RBBM: :furious: I knew it ! This is NOT right ! NOT FAIR at all !

:furious: I am so sick and tired of the special privileges she is receiving !

And no doubt this is correct because it is coming from Beth !

It doesn't matter. She's not gonna be able to come up with 60 answers that make sense in enough time. Not that time seems to matter for her lies anyway.

You can actually see the deformity there.

and I'd probably have a deformed finger or two if I lunged at a 180 lb man, stabbed him 29 times, then with bloody hands took a revolver and shot him, dragged him back and then tried to lift him into the shower (probably standing behind him, both my hands under his arms and sideways, pulled him into the shower (in that sit position) he is in.

I'm shocked I only ended up with one finger boo boo

I think that was because the question involved attorney/client privilege. Not sure the State can be in there with them?????

What about the ex part communication rule?:blushing:

Please just let them be yes and no questions!!!!

IMO, what is great about the questions session, is that for closing Juan will have somewhat of a sense of what the jury may want to hear to seal the deal.

None of the other witnesses were allowed to read the questions by the jury before they answered. At least not to my knowledge. That is very unfair that Jodi got to spend almost 2 hours reading these questions and preparing her responses. At least most of the DT's objections were overruled. So, at least we have that.

Really??? They postponed by an hour?

That's 1:00 pm Arizona time -- that's what time the judge told the jury to be there when she instructed them yesterday.

So, when Jodi Arias is convicted she will be sentenced to death and spend the next 20 years in a 12 x 7 cell, alone, 23 hours per day. She will not be allowed to comingle with any other prisoners, nor will she be allowed contact with visitors or attorneys. She can have visitors, but thru a glass screen only, and she can have two electronic devices in her cell. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

The jury wants her to expound on her lies and make up new lies. Great. Not good for the prosecution.

If that was true then why has her DT had soooooo many objections to the questions and why pray tell are they so frazzled their objections are getting overuled??????

Come join us in the light Ammonitida.

She however, does not have the record of mental instability at least. Which makes JA look even more nutty to me...if that makes any sense.

I agree. Especially if, by nutty, you mean dumb.

I am assuming you are talking about my post from this morning. Here is why I think that:

If you watch at about 7:15 or so, they are showing where the bullet casing was found, and where she SAID she shot him. Casings come out of a gun up and to the right..... NOT LEFT.

A couple or three caveats:

1. Jodi Arias is guilty of First Degree Premeditated Murder. She was not abused. Travis Alexander was not a pedophile. Oswald shot Kennedy and 9/11 was not an inside job.

2. Travis Alexander was shot last, as a coup de grace. I assume when he was gurgling and in the throes of reflexive agonal breathing through a cut throat. I'm not proud of it, but I've seen a number of gore site throat cutting videos. It's an excruciating death. Shooting him in the head at that point may be the closest someone as twisted as Arias came to mercy.

In any case, I find it extremely difficult to believe someone could take a penetrating wound to the skull with cavitation of brain tissue and engage in purposeful action. Sure, people have survived head wounds. That doesn't mean they were walking around immediately after.

That said, does anyone have any idea what kind of .25 automatic it was? As it was Arias' grandfather's I would guess it was a an older colt-type with a small right ejector port, but based on the model and the extent of the "full open" of the slide (as with a Taurus, for example) the angle of ejection could be pretty acute. Even with my .45 1911A1 (Colt type) casings have landed to the right of me, to the left, dropped on top of my head.

My subjective experience is that smaller calibers eject further. Longer casings are more erratic when they spin, land and bounce.

That the casing landed in blood tells you the blood was there before the casing. Period. With a single casing you really can't guess as to the position of the shooter. For all we know that single casing bounced off a wall, off the ceiling, onto the floor and bounced again before landing in the blood.

That's all you really need to know: He was already bleeding before he was shot.

Why bring the gun? My impression, based on everything we know about how Arias' mind works, is that it was insurance. Either as part of a half-hearted suicide option, or to deal with the unexpected such as roommates or even another women.

What's this game? They have a set of Qs. Why don't they hash this out at sidebar all at once or back in her chambers? Why all this back and forth?

AZ courts sure know how to waste precious time.

Are they going to get to ask the defendant the questions today? Sorry, I keep zoning out - last I heard about 20 minutes ago they were on Q 97. I thought they were near the end.

To the best of my understanding..........
They are now at lunch and JA will begin answering approved questions at 3pm EST.

The question numbers started in the mid 40's due to that many other approved questions having already been approved earlier in the trial. We don't know how many questions for this witness yet. Juan asked for 4 to be tossed and the defense agreed so they were. Most of the others that I heard were either with a stipulation that the judge would preface the question in some way or approved. From what I could gather (and not an attorney, btw) but Nurmi lost most of his objections.

Hope that helps???

After listening to Jodi and her lawyer about her foggy memory after someone yells at her...I'm worried this whack job will kill someone else or may have killed before. Why buy a new gun and have a knife hidden? (when arrested) She's serial killer material, imho. I hope the jury thinks so.
