Yep, my TV was on when i awoke and HLN said 3pm Eastern for the jury to come in. :banghead:

That means only 1 and 1/2 hours if they stop at 4:30pm so Jodi can get to jail for her beanie weenie dinner.

It's 3pm to 6:30pm est

Time zones are so confusing! You kinda are combining MST and EST... the 4:30pm end time is MST, but the 3:00pm start time is EST. For me, the trial usually ends at 6:30pm (EST), so if the trial starts at 3:00pm EST, that leaves 3.5 hours for questions :what: If I am thinking correctly... I live in NY!
Hope that helps?! :fence:

Personally I'm still confused about when, where and how Jodi Arias used the gas cans to fill up her RENTAL CAR'S gas tank so if anyone knows and can enlighten me, TIA.

This has not been made very clear IMO, and I remain confused as well.

Jodi testified that despite the extra gas in her trunk, she stopped twice between Pasadena and Mesa and filled up her tank at a gas station. That is not believable to me, and if i weren't lazy I would go figure out if it's even possible to use that much gas on the whole trip, considering all the times she filled up compared to the number of miles she drove - but I'm not that ambitious.

The questions will be about her inconsistencies, asking her to clarify them to which she'll expound on her lies and make up new ones. The amount of questions indicate that at least some on the jury are seriously considering her claim of self-defense and they need some loose ends tied up before voting to acquit. It's not good at all.

Both the DA and PA will be allowed to question her about her answers. Lots of opportunities there for information to be made clearer and for new lies to be pointed out.

The jury wants her to expound on her lies and make up new lies. Great. Not good for the prosecution.

Honestly I dont know where you are pulling that from.:waitasec:

Out of all these questions the state only wanted 4 questions excluded and its Nurmi that is wanting countless others excluded.

This is very good for the state.

In the Wendi Andriano death penalty case prosecuted by Juan Martinez that jury also asked multiple questions of the defendant that was on the stand for 9 days.............they found her guilty and gave her death.

IMO

Hi, I've been lurking for days and am wondering how the public can attend the trial. Does anyone have any info. Is there a lottery system at courthouse like for CA? I live about six hours away.

Start driving now. With all the delays you'll be there in time for when court starts again today. <joke>

No lottery system. Just show up and get in line (if there is line). There is a court observers thread and you can ask around in there :)

ETA you would probably still have time to stop for a Strawberry frap.

does removing the gun from the "holster" if one existed prove premeditation?

chosing to go into the closet and get the gun as opposed to running down the stairs shows premeditation.

It happens in a split second.

good evening everyone!!:seeya:

I haven't had time to watch for the past 2 days, nor catch, if someone can give me just a brief round up, that would be fantastic :) what happens next - jury questions - then what? Thanks very much in advance. xx

Expert witnesses (psychologist and DV expert) for the defense.

If there is one thing I have learned from this trial, it is that time zones are the most confusing thing to figure out EVER.

I have been mistaken once or twice before :what: -- and maybe I mis-heard... but I thought, early on, that Nurmi mentioned question #16 -- but don't take it to the bank... IDK...

I was just guessing -- I am not sure about this, and you may be right.

I am so glad we will see Juan in action again today!

I would hope you would take it less personally and more professionally. If your question isn't asked it didn't meet the rules, was redundant or had been asked and answered.

And in the big picture, again nothing personal, but a juror's
need to know why really doesn't matter.

I am in a state (Not AZ) where as a jury member we were allowed to ask questions of the witness. The judge made it abundantly clear we could ask anything, but the rules of heresay, prior evidence hearing agreements, etc might mean our question can't be answered.

Edit - by the way, this is to add to the question SusieD was replying to.

HLN must mean that the jury will convene at 1:00 AZ time, not 3:00 (that would be EST). I hope that they don't break for lunch at 2:00.

I think that they're on lunch right now and will be returning at 3 pm Arizona time.

Oh, I can't imagine the emotions that must be going through the Alexander family as they watch the video of DD.
Prayers for them for surviving another day of their hell.

She goes through the necessary steps to delete at least three photos after the murder, then goes downstairs with the camera in hand and tosses it in the washing machine. And she forgets that? Amazing if the jury buys that.

and i might add, she also took off her bloody socks. she did not want to track blood through the house. who in a fog takes their socks off :moo:

So, when Jodi Arias is convicted she will be sentenced to death and spend the next 20 years in a 12 x 7 cell, alone, 23 hours per day. She will not be allowed to comingle with any other prisoners, nor will she be allowed contact with visitors or attorneys. She can have visitors, but thru a glass screen only, and she can have two electronic devices in her cell. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

I personally like the Old West Rules much better. Hang 'em from the highest tree. right now.
