I had to work in the afternoon and missed Nurmi, as well as the discussion here. This was probably discussed, but there was one jury question in particular from what I heard that really stood out to me. I don't remember the exact words used, but the basic idea was this:
Q: you said that you weren't sure if you shot him or not after the gun went off and he fell on you. The last thing you remember is him yelling obsenities and trying to grab at you. Then you come out of your fog in the desert and are covered in blood. If this is the case, you don't know if he is dead or alive, or what had happened after you blacked out. Why didn't you call the police to check on him?
A: I knew something very bad had happened... (again one of her rehearsed lines she has used ad nauseum)

To me, that question nailed home the fact that her story makes no sense. Even if we are to believe things happened as she said they did, if she doesn't remember anything after the gun going off and him falling on her, then common sense says you would call the police to report it.
