I too live in central Florida, and agree it's very rare to see some one wearing a hoodie, and iirc, it was 60 degrees at the time Martin was shot. It was raining, and I do not believe the hoodie should be blamed at all for Martin's death. Perhaps his action (IMO) of suddenly pulling the hoodie up, at least partially obscuring if not his face, at least is head, when he noticed Zimmerman watching him added to Zimmermans suspicions.

I was a victim of a violent crime back in October of 1993, attacked, robbed, cornered behind a counter, and cut repeatedly with a razor blade box cutter. Several of the cuts were to my cheek and chin, which bled so much my attacker though he had slit my throat and left.

The attacker was a young black male wearing a baseball cap and a hoodie pulled up over his head.

FYI, my attacker was released from incarceration September of 2011. Crime doesn't pay. There is a WS Mod who can verify this for those who may doubt.

You are right there. We have been having 80 degree for the last 2 months here in Central FL. Even hit 89 one day last month.

I have a teenage son and yes he has a hoodie but only wears it on the coldest days of winter which was only a couple times this last winter and he would never be caught wearing the hood up over his head. Of course his is one of those designer skateboarder ones which he says is not worn that way.

Sad to say the majority of the time I see hoodies here in FL is watching the news where they show video of late night store robberies. Almost every one of those have a guy wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled up over their head.

Is there any reasonable reason to believe that the calls wouldn't show up on his records when we seemingly have, first, a 911 call glaringly on his records and second, that 911 call seemingly came from within the same E911 area that he would have originally called from?

I could see if there were no 911 calls on the records that this might be the case. However, there clearly are and I'm not sure why there would be discrimination.

If your phone service originated say from Miami and you are in Sanford and you make a 911 call will it go directly to Sanford even though your area code is different? I often wondered about that???? jmo

Praying for all our littest angels (Caylee, Aja, Shaniya, etc...) to give Trayvon big hugs for me! He needs them!

Chelsea, Amber, Lily and all our other teen victims, I hope you all, with Trayvon, will look after and play with the little ones.

Don't even look down here on Earth! You are in a much better place and I hope you are blind to it all. Especially you, Trayvon!

ETA: Sorry for the spelling errors. I'm angry and will not be posting in this thread any more. It's wayyyyy too much!

I too have listened to the tapes, and imo, the scream of help were those made by an adult who was getting beat up, knowing he could end it because he was armed, and was screaming for some one to rescue him before he had to resort to using his weapon with deadly force. I know I would scream like a baby for help before I decided to kill an attacker.

That's funny. I would stake my life that those high pitched screams came from a teenager. :moo:

omg, so glad you survived. I have a question, was the guy suspicious to you when he first came in? Any immediate instincts?

Someone please explain to me what the following things have to do with this case and why we are discussing them at length:

1) Trayvon's hoodie

2) Trayvon's body art (tattoos)

3) Trayvon's financial ability to afford said body art

4) A bag of Skittles

5) An iced tea

6) An empty bag of supposed marijuana that was never reported to LE or prosecuted and cannot even be confirmed as ever containing marijuana or belonging to Trayvon

Yes, it's called Enhanced 911 (E911). It's a service that's mandatory for all cellphone companies. I've called 911 from outside of my area code before (the rear-end collision I alluded to in the last thread), and it automatically connects you to the local PD or SO - whoever's handling the dispatch for the area. It was county PD in my instance.

Wow! I'm so sorry you had to go through such a horrifying ordeal! I am glad you are ok and here with us at WS!

From his 911 call, GZ does not have a deep voice.

The family spokesperson pretty much confirmed it did and was.

I wish I knew the answer...all I can think is that this crime doesn't make sense on any level, so as humans we rationalize and fit things where they belong in our own minds.

Sometimes, to others it seems petty or irrelevant, but sometimes the little things do matter...JMO

It doesn't. That's why I am staying away from commenting on it when I don't yet know the facts. Speculation fuels rumors.

From the 911 calls, that was a deep voice, not the high pitched tone of a teenager.:moo:

I hope someone is able to respond to ALL of my questions and not just one. Re: the marijuana, I'll use the same arguments a lot of people on this site have been using: it's hearsay, it could have been planted, we don't know the real story, we don't know it was *real* marijuana -- my suggestion about the marijuana was just a red herring for ya'll because there are a lot of really flimsy arguments going on in this thread for why TM is at fault for his own death.

If people had the answer the question, have you ever smoked pot to get a job....very, very few would have jobs. That stuff is all over the place. My grandson said he was approached in DisneyWorld to buy some. jmo

I did not have a high-pitched tone when I was 17. Maybe in my earlier teens... JMO

Oh, I don't think that in and of itself means anything. I was just clarifying what seems to be the facts surrounding it.

That's a he said she said situation. I can't see the family snitching on him and him dead. What purpose would that serve?
