Has anyone else seen the updated picture of GZ he was slimmer, short hair,in a yellow shirt? Unless it has been taken off sites because he does look a lot different maybe for his safety. When I first saw it I had to do a double take.TIA

It looked like a pic that might have been taken on the job for an ID.

I happen to love the way that it has been stated repeatedly that Zimmerman weighed 250 pounds but tonight for the first time we learn from Oliver that he really only weighed 170 pounds. This man is nothing more than a hired gun by Zimmerman and his family.

~jmo~

That was the only picture that was a public picture IMO.He is a private citizen so it was all they had to use.He is not heavy nor does he look the same.
By the way I have friends of all ages maybe George does too.JMO

There's not a lot of question as to where the body was found. There's only ONE 90 degree turn in this path of movement from the clubhouse to that point. The boy's father walks the camera step by step from beginning to end in the video with this article:

Once again, Zimmerman claims he was accosted after losing sight of the boy while walking BACK to his car, yet the body is found several yards farther in a continuation of travel AFTER he had to have lost sight.

The only conclusion that I can reach is that the street sign must have been located next to the sidewalk between the rows of condos on both sides.

There is a time on the call where the gunshot is actually heard by 911, and I believe IIRC that one was marked at 7:15. They put the timestamps up when I was watching the program, but for some reason the people writing articles don't put the times in, they just report on what was heard on the call it's frustrating.

So total time from first encounter to death was about 6 minutes.

Somewhere way back in the mists of time, I recall posting a statement along the lines of this:

(paraphrased) Pictures of Trayvon are a non-starter in this thread. Photoshopped or not, age 16 or 17 or 12, they have no real bearing on what actually happened the night Trayvon was killed. Please move past them.

:tyou:

I think they had/have an influence on people's views regarding the case. In particular mine. When I first read about GZ shooting TM, I believe march 6 or 7th, I saw the photo the family released. A few days later I read another article with an updated photo, I think it was the Miami herald. That was when I started questioning the reliability of facts coming from TM's family/supporters. I had questions in the beginning about GZ's account, LE's actions, but until the photo I did not have any reason to question the account TM's family was giving. I don't care what he looks like, it is the action of giving false information that made me look into what the family could be hiding that would support GZ's account of TM wandering around, looking like he is on something. Please feel free to delete if it still doesn't sit right. I won't take offense.

I've been debating for a while whether to come into this thread because what I may say might be unpopular and I'm not here at all to stir up anything. Just want to know some answers like everyone. They are juts my opinions.

The whole deal about the dispatcher saying what they said isn't even an order, imo. It is more like a suggestion. There is a slant and bias against GZ in the media that needs to stop. What I'm saying is not condoning what GZ has done, but not all the facts are clear, but according to witness' they were fighting over the gun because it was in his waistband.

There are several things that come to mind. This racial thing for one. GZ didn't know he was even black anyway considering TM wore and hoodie, it was dark and it was raining. And why was TM wearing a hoodie on a Florida night that is warm anyway?

Next;Did GZ make it clear who he was and his intent? Did TM think he was being robbed? These are all curious questions that need to be answered. I don't believe it is 1st degree murder either. Because there was an altercation and it seems GZ used it as a last resort because maybe, juts maybe TM would have used it on him. Don't know just speculating on that last part.

Again the media has truly stirred up hornets nest without having any facts to throw out there just to fit a certain narrative which is going to cause riots among other things. They have their own agenda.

Having said all that it is tragic either way you look at it and someone is dead.Which shouldn't have happened.

I wish pictures of either one were never released for the same reason that I don't watch videos of suspects pretending to be grieving (you can't tell what a person is crying about.)

Grills are so common and mainstream now they mean nothing to me. In fact, it's common for well to do dentists kids to wear grills or fangs. Benefits of the family business and all that.

Zimmerman was less than truthful. Could have been the head trauma. IMO

There was a reporter for a magazine on one of the shows tonight who said he talked to Chief Lee, and was told that the entry point was direct center of the chest at the top of the diaphram, the point that I would identify as the zyphoid process, the point just at the top where the ribs come together above the stomach.

ETA, he had no information about trajectory

Unless it was at an angle when entering, would that have hit the heart?

if you go by the times that they have put on all the 911 calls including Zimmermans, which lead to many of the experts who are pontificating about the case to remark on how incredibly tight the timeline is. Apparently in this one instance SPD wasted no time responding to this call

I'd like to see the statements he's actually made, and not secondhand accounts made by others.

Yes it might be or family released it because he does not look heavy IMO.
They just showed GZ newer picture on fox channel 5 news. Also showed TM on a horse.

Anyone who has actually listened to George Zimmerman's call to LE that night can hear him getting out of his car. You can hear it. He DID get out of the car while still talking to LE. LE knew it too because when they noticed it, they asked him if he was following him. It's clear as day when Zimmerman got out of that car. I don't even know why that is being disputed?

My one and only contribution to this thread today.

ETA:

When officer T. Smith arrived at the scene moments later, he found Martin’s body lying face down on the grass about 70 yards from the family’s home, bleeding from a chest wound. He had $22, candy and a can of iced tea in his pockets.

Would that bullet have hit his lung?

Yes, very short timeline.

That sounds like it may very well have hit the aorta. No amount of first aid could have fixed that. That's incredibly saddening to me.

Would not that cause a lot of blood loss in a very short time?

  • #817
Unless it was at an angle when entering, would that have hit the heart?

If it is the area that he pointed to and described, I don't think so, although some people's organs could be lower or higher or even on the wrong side of their body at birth, but generally no that was not a heart shot.

  • #818
Would not that cause a lot of blood loss in a very short time?

It's the largest artery in the body, connected directly to the heart. That's extreme blood loss in a few seconds at most.

According to a 911 caller, one person (who we now know was Zimmerman) was in white t-shirt & on top of Trayvon. GZ in 911 call and police both said Trayvon was in a hoodie, that’s how we know it was GZ on top in the white shirt. I think GZ always had the upper hand by pointing his gun at Trayvon (thus Trayvon screaming for his life jmo) & there was no struggle jmo, and GZ’s mysterious (jmo) injuries were self-inflicted to support self-defense, jmo. jmo. jmo.

Snipped from the second 7:16pm 911 call (link below):

Dispatcher: "So, when you heard screaming, it was a male screaming?"
Caller: "Yes. And the guy on top had a white t-shirt."
Dispatcher: "What do you mean guy on top? Did you see a fight?"
Caller: "I don't know, I just looked out my window, and there was a guy on top wearing a white t-shirt."
Dispatcher: "A white t-shirt. Did you see what kind of pants? He was on top of what?"
Caller: "I couldn't see the person he was on."
Dispatcher: "But he was on top of a person?"
Caller: "Yes."

Police description of Trayvon in same article:
“Officers arrived on the scene at 7:17 p.m. ET, according to a police report. Officers Timothy Smith and Ricardo Alayo said they noted a black male in a gray hooded sweatshirt lying face-down in the grass, as well as a white male in the area.”

I came to the States almost 30 years ago. And yes racism is still very much ingrained. The real sad thing is that so many folks do not even realize they are racist but you can tell when they serve a black person or when a black/white couple walks in to a public place. Only one place where I noticed very little racism was around San Jose, CA. Heck, half the folks talked with an accent there. It takes a while but I do think with each generation it will become less.

In the United States, it's worst to be called a racist than to actually be one.
