I don't live in Florida. But my SIL used to and we were just talking about this case this morning and he agreed that the "c" word is outdated. IMO, GZ could have said the "c" word, or he might have said the "g" word, or maybe he was just mad at his "phone." I don't think we'll ever know for sure and I really don't think a garbled, muttered, indecipherable whisper is the best evidence to hang a case on.

JMO, OMO, and :moo:

If you don't mind me asking, what part of Florida does your SIL live in? I was a bartender for 11 years and I've served people from all over the world. I've listened to millions of conversations. I've heard the word c*** more times than I can even count. Florida is a huge mixture of people, especially on the coasts. But when you get more inland and into the more country parts of Florida or you encounter those people when they come into a bigger city (like mine) to have a good time, you would hear that word more times that you can ever want to in a lifetime. Who knows what Zimmerman grew up hearing from his parents?

I say yes on the first two the second two would be iffy but if someone advanced on you with a clenched fist I would think you would have the right to defend yourself by blocking or throwing the actual first punch. Showing the gun and words with it would be enough like "come with me" or stop.

You would be able to meet force with like force. Using a disproportionate use of force is also a crime. The key in the shooting is that Zimmerman was characterizing himself as in fear of great bodily harm because his head was being slammed into pavement. JMO

OK As for the Police I agree, there should always be an investigation when there is a shooting and one person cannot tell their side.

BUT...
In the 911 when they ask him for an address he did not know exactly. He got out only to see a house # (all the houses do look alike, and if he did not know the house #I cannot fault him).
I also agree that he should not have gotten out of the car because he did have a concealed weapon, and he did not know if the boy had one too.
BUT it is not against the law for him to have gotten out of the car.
a bad decision equals not smart
it does not equal killer.

The fact that George Zimmerman killed Trayvon is what makes him a killer.

The circumstances surrounding the killing are what will make him a murderer and a convicted felon IMO.

CBS News reports that the next day, detectives re-enacted the shooting with Zimmerman at the scene

Wonder if any residents or even Trayvon's dad saw them do this? The next day would have been a Monday - I guess most people at work but still. If I would have lived there, been home and noticed them out there - I would have stayed and watched. (Yes, I'm a Gladys Kravitz - lol) Maybe LE asked people to leave and not watch? IDK

I totally think the media is biased against GZ.

Bad decision that ends with someone dead generally equals manslaughter

or the killing of another person through culpable negligence, whether you intended to kill them or not, if the results were reasonably forseeable you are responsible..IMO JMHO and stuff

I don't have the tv on so I didn't catch it... But IMHO..There are entirely too too many people in authority who now seem to be covering their azzes as well GZ's azz...JMHO..

Yep, just damn yep. :(

Why exactly does it matter? We have not had a witness or even the shooter saying he was doing anything illegal. We do know he had a reason to be there..he was living there! How could it matter what he was doing as he walked? He wasn't shooting anyone or stalking anyone. It appears he had Skittles and ice tea..and had every right to be in that neighborhood. ^i^

He didn't have the right to attack another person. I'm not saying the shooting was justified, but why did he hit Zimmerman ? If he was afraid, why didn't he just run ?

I have really had to set on my hands, I pray that it does not sound like I am screaming!

hmmm....And I would bet dollars for donuts in light of his school record they also wanted get public support for a sweet boy, not anything the school may have on him. They knew this would come out eventually.

Well, I can safely say that if my son got into trouble in high school, which he did, if I needed to give LE or the media a picture of him, I wouldn't have looked for the thuggiest picture he ever posted on Facebook or Myspace and given that one to them. There is no point here. :seeya:

I don't know if there is a racial slur on the tape or not, and frankly I am not inclined to care a whole lot. Some claim that they hear it, some claim that they do not, and when it is analyzed as much as it can me we may still have no further answers. But RACE is a part of this case whether we want to admit it or not because there is simply no way anyone is going to tell me that if the teen lying on the ground was a clean cut or even a thuggish looking white kid, the investigation would have been carried out in exactly the same manner, nor would he have lain in the morgue for days waiting for them to figure out who he was....IMO JMHO and stuff

You can turn many cases into a racial case, if two people are of different color.
That does not make it so NO NO. :nono: DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS A RACIAL CASE.

This is a case of 2 people with many errors, new laws, and many unknowns.

I agree, but it should at least be a recent photo, not a 12 year old.

Some of the insinuations being made today are downright ugly...and not based on any fact at all.

:twocents::moo:

I don't see ugly insinuations being made about anyone but George Zimmerman, and not based on any fact at all. Rambo? Really?

Have you looked into the history of the Sanford Police Department?

I do not think the SA is corrupt. I think the Sanford Police Department is! I believe they botched this investigation from the moment they arrived on that scene and the SA had no choice.

I totally think the media is biased against GZ.

They may well be. Perhaps in response to the general impression that the SPD was biased toward GZ and against TM.

I agree, but it sounds like Florida's stand your ground law muddies the waters.

What I haven't heard is "suspect" or "arrested" or "convicted".
