Bad decision that ends with someone dead generally equals manslaughter
or the killing of another person through culpable negligence, whether you intended to kill them or not, if the results were reasonably forseeable you are responsible..IMO JMHO and stuff

WHO SAID?
It should have been investigated because one person could not tell his side.
But it does not mean anything you are saying at all.

Have you looked into the history of the Sanford Police Department?

I do not think the SA is corrupt. I think the Sanford Police Department is! I believe they botched this investigation from the moment they arrived on that scene and the SA had no choice.

Heh. Yet it's an SPD homicide detective that filed for an arrest warrant that was not approved by the state attorney. :waitasec:

He didn't have the right to attack another perso I'm not saying the shooting was justified, but why did he hit Zimmerman ? If he was afraid, why didn't he just run ?

my thoughts exactly. it sickens me that people are ready to hang GZ for what he did because he killed an innocent kid who was doing no wrong.

Once AS and JJ got on board I knew this would turn into a race issue.

this mainly just boils down to one thing: Was the shooting in self defense or was it not.

Yes, by George Zimmerman.

NOP... That would have had to be something that the Neighborhood
WATCH People have gathered. I do not think he is the only watch person.

Because they look like the image they are trying to portray.

If this story had broken, with ALL the information we now know, and current photos of each we now have, it likely wouldn't have made the news. IMHO.

wow, well thank goodness then, that they did put those pictures up...how sad that people would be so shallow as to not want to find out the truth about a 17 year old kid being shot just because of what a picture looks like or about some thing he did in his past that has nothing to do with the night in question...

I am glad that we here at ws are not like that...and we are only interested in finding out the truth.

If you don't mind me asking, what part of Florida does your SIL live in? I was a bartender for 11 years and I've served people from all over the world. I've listened to millions of conversations. I've heard the word c*** more times than I can even count. Florida is a huge mixture of people, especially on the coasts. But when you get more inland and into the more country parts of Florida or you encounter those people when they come into a bigger city (like mine) to have a good time, you would hear that word more times that you can ever want to in a lifetime. Who knows what Zimmerman grew up hearing from his parents?

Panama City. (I won't use it's racially insensitive nickname that is in common use.) He also worked in the restaurant industry.

I live in a very diverse area. And the only time I've heard the "c" word used is by older folks, often older AAs. I've never heard a younger person use it. IMO, if one were inclined to use racial epithets that would not be the first to come to mind. Again, I think this part of the debate is a moot point because it's hard to imagine that a prosecutor would hang a hate crime on such flimsy evidence.

His negligence was not apparently directly responsible for the shooting. It lead up to it, yes, but there were mitigating factors. Negligence would be drawing on Martin to hold him at gunpoint for police and accidentally shooting him. Or some other event that wasn't compounded by an altercation.

Was this community given descriptions of persons commiting crimes in their area?

According to George Zimmerman, it was his WIFE that gave LE a description of the "black suspects." I sure would love to hear her 911 calls when she was witnessing these crimes take place?

IMO, Mrs. Zimmerman did not witness these crimes taking place, but who else would it be but the black teenagers?

If I was a crazy person, I would post pictures of my 17-year-old blonde-hair, blue-eyed niece mean muggin' in her facebook pictures for everyone to judge her on... but I'm not crazy.

You can turn many cases into a racial case, if two people are of different color.
That does not make it so NO NO. :nono: DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS A RACIAL CASE.

This is a case of 2 people with many errors, new laws, and many unknowns.

This has turned into a racial case because race baiters have found it to be politically beneficial to do so.

Goodle the new <modsnip> shirts with GZ's pic on them. Still can't even get over the fact that he isn't white.

It is RIDICULOUS. These people don't care about TM, they care about themselves.

It's revolting.

There are lots of ways to twist this case, but IMO, it definitely wasn't racial profiling on the part of GZ. They could say the investigation was botched because LE was biased or even better because GZ's father was a judge (good ol' political corruption). But I don't believe he was shot because he was black.
If houses in my neighborhood are being broken into by little old white men, I'm going to be profiling little old white men in my neighborhood.

I have really had to set on my hands, I pray that it does not sound like I am screaming!

For this to be a MURDER, you have to believe the police were corrupt, the district atty....big conspiracy! NOT ONE COP OR DA WITH ANY ETHICS, and ofcourse NOT ONE BLACK PERSON WORKING FOR THE POLICE DEPT! And I have some ocean front property in Arizona!!!!!!!!!!!!!Duke Lacrosse, Twana Brawly

No you don't. All it takes is one bad apple.

There are far to many unanswered questions in this case of things that were done so far that make no sense.

Why was his wife giving LE descriptions of crimes going on at the Retreat?

Just curious how you would categorize this: my daughter and I are are walking downtown and some guy confronts us with a knife and demands money. If I manage to get to my gun and shoot him and he dies, is that negligence? Manslaughter? What would you suggest I do in that situation? Should I be able to carry a gun to defend myself and my family? I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand how you view defending oneself regarding "killing of another person through culpable negligence, whether you intended to kill them or not." If I was a law abiding citizen and did nothing wrong should I be able to defend myself without being tagged with a record for doing so? Should I have to wipe out my savings and possibly lose my job because of the time I would lose from work trying to defend myself? Again, I'm just trying to understand other points of view on self defense.

I have mentioned Martin stopping under the awning (IMO, if he did so, it was so hide from George Zimmerman) and pulling up his hoodie in the past, but now taht I think of it, what is the original source of that info? it's not on Zimmermans' 911 call transcripts, I don't see any where that it is mentioned in the phone call Martin's gf suddenly recalled three weeks later. I don't see it mentioned in the police reports either.

Can anyone source the statement that Martin actually did step under the awning/cover at the clubhouse, and that is in fact when he pulled his hoodie up?

The awning or roof used by Trayvon for protection from the rain was at the clubhouse.

Obviously I'm being a wee bit facetious with the fat guy crack, but hey, my money's still on the kid in an all out race.

Huh?

View attachment 21349

I'm saying he probably parked where the blue rectangle is located. He then went along the magenta path while talking to the dispatcher, and realized he lost Martin when he came to the perpendicular pathway. Since he believes Martin is going towards the back entrance, it would make sense that he would continue alone the same magenta pathway so he will have roughly the viewpoint notated by the yellow triangle. He would be able to see if Martin was running towards the back entrance, or off to another house... If he ran to another house, Zimmerman would be able to tell police approximately where he went - this may be the confusion about Zimmerman saying he was trying to get an address.

It was somewhere towards the end of this magenta pathway that I believe he was told to stop following Martin, and he did. He turned around and headed back towards his vehicle. This is a very reasonable distance to cover in that short amount of time, and I feel the scenario fits in well with the timeline.
BBM

You do realize that from his vehicle to "somewhere towards the end of this magenta pathway" scales close to 900', or THREE football fields?

And he covered it in TWENTY EIGHT SECONDS?

~Respectfully Snipped~

:43 Trayvon is staring at houses
:49 Trayvon is staring at Zimmerman
:56 Near the clubhouse
:58 Trayvon is coming towards Zimmerman
1:23 Trayvon is going to check Zimmerman out
1:38 a**holes get away
2:07 Trayvon is running
2:10 hear car dings as if the door opens, Trayvon headed toward back entrance
2:20 heavy breathing/wind…racial slur (?)
2:23 dispatch asks Zimmerman if he’s following him
2:26 dispatch says “we don’t need you to do that”
2:28 Zimmerman responds by saying “Okay”
2:38 Zimmerman says again “he ran”
2:55 Zimmerman say he wants to meet with an officer
3:17 Zimmerman says go past mailboxes, you’ll see my truck
3:36 Zimmerman doesn’t know where Trayvon is
3:44 Zimmerman agrees to meet by mailboxes
3:51 Zimmerman wants to be called instead
BBM

OK. (Excuse me a moment, if you don't mind)

EM.....EM.....I GOTTA TAKE MY BET BACK!

The awning or roof used by Trayvon for protection from the rain was at the clubhouse.

What I haven't heard is "suspect" or "arrested" or "convicted".

IMHO.. His behavior as well as the different stories now being told is ALL suspect. IMHO.. He should be arrested... A thorough honest investigation needs to take place and then let the chips fall where they may...JMHO...
