I doubt if any teen could resist having Skittles in his pocket for more than an hour. lol

Unless he went with $25-$30 and bought a few packs and cans... Which is what I would personally do.

No I am not suggesting anything. People are posting that no tests were done and I am saying WE DON"T KNOW. I cannot find a link verifying either yes or no. A breathalyzer can be done without going to a hospital lab (not saying if that was done or not either!)

He was never arrested and they did not appear to have probable cause because he claimed self defense. Sounds like a judgment call and they decided there was no reason. Narcotics officer was called for the victim. jmo

I imagine it is a lot easier to get a witness to say red then it is to get them to say red and black.

If Zimmerman was on his back witnesses would not see a black stripe.

I am really confused as to what is the big deal about the $22.00 in TM possession? Can someone explain what the exact relevance is or why it is STILL so hotly debated. I have been reading the posts and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is about the $22, skittle and ice tea that is so controversial?

TIA

Here is one of many MSM links alluding to the failure to test Zimmerman:

ABC News has learned police seemed to accept Zimmerman's account at face value that night and that he was not tested for drugs or alcohol on the night of the shooting, even though it is standard procedure in most homicide investigations.

Trayvon Martin had just turned 17-years-old. He was a Junior in High School. He could not vote. He could not buy cigarettes. If he had a job, he would have been protected under the “Child Labor Laws” of this Country.

Trayvon was not a child, but he was not a man. He was in that great transitional period every young person goes through. He was excited about Prom (kid) and preparing for College (adult). He will never do either of those things.

Trayvon was not perfect. I don’t expect anyone to be perfect. He has made his mistakes, but mistakes I expect to be made by a young kid his age. I’ve seen 1,000 times worse. He, in my opinion, seemed like a bright kid testing his boundaries.

I’m not going to question what discipline Trayvon’s parents gave him for his troubles? Frankly, it’s none of my business? Just like it’s not my business to know how each and every person here disciplines their children? That’s your business.

I am able to admit that I do think Trayvon’s race played some role in his death. It’s sad, but it’s real. It’s a tough reality that things like this happen… but they happen. It doesn’t make it better to just ignore it or refuse to believe it? Nothing can be learned from Trayvon’s death if we ignore it. We’d just be right back to the same place eventually.

There is something to learn from Trayvon’s death. There’s a lot to learn. You just have to be willing to listen. I listen to what my heart tells me. My heart never lies.

Justice for Trayvon

This made me cry. You so eloquently summed up how I feel about this case, but don't have the gift of words to do so. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

BBM Correct. There is much speculation that GZ had no tox screen after the shooting. Some find that troublesome or telling. I do not have any opinion on that as I honestly do not know if it is SOP to test someone who has shot someone or if it is some indication of coverup or not.

We have very few actual incontrovertible facts.

A TM is dead
B GZ shot him
C TM was unarmed and in an area he was authorized to be
D TM was followed by GZ
E Some sort of confrontation occurred

IMO Pretty much everything else is up for debate or speculation as we have zero factual material to work with, in part because the investigation done and evidence collected that night APPEAR shoddy to many viewing from the outside of the investigation.

So our options are to debate, speculate and opine or pack up this thread and call it a day.

:cow:

F. GZ referred to TM as an "a**hole"
G. GZ said people like TM "always get away"
H. GZ did not heed the dispatcher when told "we don't need you to" follow him.
I. GZ chose to end the call with police, rather than stay on the line til they arrived

To start, you emphatically (in caps) stated he WAS out "stalking his prey." One does not stalk prey without intent. And then you contradicted yourself in the second half of the sentence you highlighted. Can't have it both ways. Either he's a predator stalking his prey with a premeditated intent to kill or he's not. BBM.

JMO, OMO, and :moo:

Oh, fer cryin' out loud. LOL!!

And I believe he does have a propensity for racial bias - so that makes him a racial predator, IMO. He called the police so that when the 'suspect' was arrested he would be hailed as a hero and savior in his world and little 'kingdom'. Once again, the 'suspect' was getting away and he wasn't about to let that happen so he went after him. I think he caught up to him and most likely grabbed him trying to 'detain' him and Trayvon fought back and he shot him being the coward he is.

So while I don't think he started off his day by deciding he was going to kill someone, I believe he is a racial predator and I think there was definitely premeditation and intent.

That's my opinion.

I very clearly stated that I did NOT think he set out to kill anyone that day.

Yes, I did say he was 'stalking his prey'. And, yes, I did say 'he is a racial predator and I think there was definitely premediation and intent.'

He most definitely had the intention to capture himself a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that day. IMO.

I don't know how much clearer I can be. Please stop trying to twist my words and, as you say, let them speak for themself.

News outlets have edited the 911 audiotapes to make GZ look guilty. The former attorney general claims the Martin family lawyer of outright lies. http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/02/justice/florida-teen-shooting/index.html

What if -- what IF - George Zimmerman is telling the truth?

Already several of the statement attributed to GZ have been proven to be lies. The position of the body proves that his claim (to his father) that TM attacked GZ when he was "checking street signs" (or was it "checking street numbers"? - the story varies) is a lie.

GZ claimed he was calling for help - audio experts have said it was not GZ on the 911 recording calling for help.

ONE news organization - NBC - altered the recording. The motive is not known.

The state attorney, Norm Wolfinger, should be careful about what he says about a fellow attorney. First, Benjamin Crump has a MUCH more impressive resume than Mr. Wolfinger - http://parkscrump.com/attorneys/benjamin-crump/ Second, the Florida Bar Association does not like their members disparaging each other and Mr. Wolfinger's comments could bring his license under review.

IMO GZ is NOT telling the truth, did not the night of the incident, has not to his family and friends. JMO, of course.

What about two women who recount what they witnessed in the media after three weeks because the police ignored their repeated calls - calls pointing out errors in their recorded statements?

What errors? Did they point what errors were in their recorded statements?

I think it's interesting that we really don't know what Martin was up to that night. The stories the family have put out there have continually changed over time. Just another piece of the puzzle that we don't have.

I believe he had been drinking for a few reasons.

His speech on the 911 tape was deliberate and slow.

He curses on the 911 tape and uses a racial slur.

He does not heed the warning of the 911 operator and gets out of his vehicle to pursue Trayvon. We can all agree this was really stupid, can't we?

It seems to me all of Zimmerman's judgments were "off" that night. Leads me to believe he was drinking.

jmo

You need to be drinking to act stupid and make bad decisions? Or to make an alledged racial slur?

Walking home on a raining night??? I'm not sure why this is an issue. His father knew where he was going and stated so. He could have been at the movies and someone dropped him off, a hundred reasons for him to be walking home. We know that is what he was doing so why is this an issue? Been away most of the day so I'm trying to catch up. jmo

GZ claimed he was calling for help - audio experts have said it was not GZ on the 911 recording calling for help.

Audio experts said it's not GZ? First of all they can't say who it is. Second of all they are comparing screams to normal speech. Third of all there are not 10 separate words of screams on 911 tape. So I doubt very much it would be admissible in court. But yet they get on TV and claim it's not GZ screaming on the 911 tape.

Looking at the screen shots I got from the video I downloaded from the City of Sanford site, IMO that picture was not just enhanced, it was photoshopped to ADD the "wounds"! Not one of the screenshots I took from the video show that distinct of outline even when I automatically adjusted the color and contrast in PhotoShop.

I took several screenshots at different points in the video with different lighting, different pixelization, different angles. NOT ONE showed that much definition of any shading, markings or indication of a wound. NOT ONE showed that much red anywhere on the back of GZ's head indicating a wound or possible bleeding.

IMO that image has been FAKED. JMO, of course.

Accusing a news agency of faking something is a pretty serious allegation. People get fired over that.

Was he? Didn't his brother say he was going to Target for milk? Wonder if there was milk found in his truck?

Say what? Do people really go to Target to buy milk? I've gone to Target many times, for many various reason, however never for the purpose of buying milk..JMHO

ABC reported the following. It appears they have an inside source at the police department which the City of Sanford is not denying and seems to support in a release.

and here is the link that seems to support that ABC has an inside source.

Why do they sell milk then? Was it a SuperTarget?

Furthermore this is the same station that claimed he had no visible injuries. Why are they going to fake injuries?
