If I was GZ, I'd have asked to stay in jail. The free people in FL scare me about as badly as the convicts!

No, but the person responsible for someone's death saying that they're sorry for the death... Yeah, I'd say that's taking about as much responsibility as you can on the witness stand in court without completely impeaching yourself.
Thank you for replying. This statement in my signature line was quoted from Sybrina on April 7, 2012. As of April 20, 2012, I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that both of Trayvon's parents are angry now, rightly so. They were forced to listen to this pitiful excuse of a man justify his reasoning for murdering their son. He's sorry they lost their son? They didn't lose anything. Trayvon's not missing. He murdered their son. He hunted him with his "tactical flashlights" and his 9-mm gun with hollow-point bullets like prey and murdered him and then has the gall to sit on a witness stand and say he is sorry for the loss of their son. Additionally, he didn't realize how old Trayvon was? Seriously? He identified his age as late teens and referred to him as a "kid" in his 911 call. Last but certainly not least, he can shoot to kill without even knowing if Trayvon was armed or not? He admitted that on the stand. Yea, I'd say they are pretty angry, rightly so. I'll be sure to dig up a more appropriate quote by them to include in my signature line to reflect their feelings after April 20, 2012.

I meant impeach in the legal sense. The prosecution couldn't come back and say, "You said you're sorry for killing him... Why are you sorry if you felt it was justified? That doesn't make sense. If I felt my life was in danger, I wouldn't apologize for killing my assailant."AFAIC, what GZ said impeached himself TO ME since the 'apology' was only a legal strategy suggested by his lawyer and further he lied while making it and also called the killing/death of Trayvon just a loss.
Where was the spontaneous apology shortly after the incident when he was hiding out and sending out his friends, family and legal advisers to push his versionS of what happened to make excuses for why he killed Trayvon?

Because you quoted my reply to a previous post, I want to clarify that I was in no way commenting on whether GZ's word was all that should be taken into account. I was replying to a post speculating about conflicts between GZ's statements and the stories that have been attributed to him by folks who have gone on camera. My point was that I think his sworn statements will hold much more weight than the versions given by people who have claimed to represent or speak for him on TV.But will it match up against the evidence? That's another important thing. His story is going to really have to hold up to what was found at that scene. It also really depends on Trayvon's autopsy report too. We have no idea if the only injury Trayvon had was a gunshot wound? We don't even know if George had any defensive wounds? I would think if someone was hitting you in the face, you would try and cover your face? When Trayvon was "covering his mouth" with his hands -- did he bite him? Spit on him? Was his saliva found on Trayvon's hands? Get what I'm saying? How was he able to "scream" so loud for help with Trayvon's hand over his mouth?
There is so much more to this than just George's word. The State has come to the conclusion that George's word does not match up to the evidence and, IMO, that is why he is facing 2nd degree murder.

<BBM>Actually, I don't think the location or cause of his injury has anything to do with that line. I would bet more money than I could ever afford that that picture was edited. Flash glare doesn't create a straight line on a round head, I don't care how bright it is. That white section on his head appears to have been completely edited out.
I wonder about the whole emphasis on getting GZ out of the state.
I and everyone I know here in Southern California is following the case. Why would GZ be necessarily safer here? (Not that I or anyone I know would harm him. But assuming there are people who would...)
Again, to my knowledge GZ has never once disputed the fact that he shot and killed TM. JMOHow does "Sorry for your loss" take responsibility? It's a standard phrase that can be used by anyone with no involvement in the death whatsoever.

Thank you for replying. It doesn't seem to be in the CNN transcript (link below, correct me if I'm wrong), but that is only the transcript of their coverage; it could be else where. IMO it's odd that no one in MSM has been trumpeting this new information from the rooftops, if it's true that GZ's statement was that TM circled his truck three times. I'll keep looking. JMO

I'm still trying to figure out the part about Trayvon looking as old as George, and he's 28. At what point did he make that judgment about age, and what possible difference does it make to the situation?AFAIC, what GZ said impeached himself TO ME since the 'apology' was only a legal strategy suggested by his lawyer and further he lied while making it and also called the killing/death of Trayvon just a loss.

Yep - all dirty scoundrels till you need one.
I don't think the apology means anything, although I think it was more likely GZ's strategy than his lawyer's. Lawyers rarely want their clients to say anything in public.
But this business of blaming people for using common English is ridiculous. Rightly or wrongly, in American English we say, "I'm sorry for your loss."Yes, it is an inadequate expression, but what expression would really console anybody? Only a very, very close friend could know, if even then. The rest of us say what we can.
And NO defendant in a justifiable homicide/SYG case is going to say s/he is sorry s/he pulled the trigger on the stand. Such an utterance could only be used against him or her.
That seems odd to me also. If he really wanted to stay hidden I'm sure he could in FL. Its not like the rest of the USA doesn't at least watch HLN![]()
