Well I don't know. Nobody ever donated anything into my papal account.:tears:
LOL, mine either :tears:, but hey if anyone wants to just let me know!

jenny, I don't believe most defense attorneys make "a lot of money". It's just that the ones we see on TV are very successful, handle high profile cases and can charge high fees.
Here's a site with some figures:
http://www.ehow.com/info_7834484_average-salary-criminal-defense-attorney.html
The average yearly income for a defense attorney in Florida is just over $80K. That's very much in line with other jobs that require advanced degrees, including engineers and college professors.
(Graduates from the best schools can often find jobs that start at over $100K. Partners in large firms can make $500K to several million per year, but we're talking about the most elite.)
IANAL but wouldn't the GF be a direct witness to whatever she heard in the conversation? If she said heard someone say "There's a black dog" would be evidence that someone said there was a black dog, but it wouldn't be considered as evidence that there was a black dog because it would be hearsay.
BTW, FYI, FWIW:
My OP (which you are quoting here in part) was in response to someone dissing GZ for offering only condolences for the loss of her son, and not an apology. ---> My post was intended to point out that she got what she asked for -- which was NOT an apology, but rather condolences and the answers to the two questions. JMO
A snip from my OP:
A statement like "I am sorry I shot your son" would unfortunately be used unfairly to attack his self-defense defense. I believe GZ feels terrible about what happened, and respectfully gave the victim's mother exactly what she asked for, without sacrificing himself to a possible life in prison for something he claims he didn't to: commit murder.

Nevertheless, be it my opinion and yours as well, it is still an opinion; an interpretation as to whether or not she intended to answer the question with a request for an apology. We're just guessing, as we don't have Sybrina here to ask. JMO

ETA: ... That I know of.
You don't get paid $400 per hour for very long if everything you do is a mistake. IMO.
He is someone's defense lawyer. He really needs to pay more attention if he's making all these mistakes completely unintentionally.
Personally, I don't think he's worth <modsnip> but that's just me.

He had a phone card, you can call and get your balance from paypal.
She never asked him to apologize.
Apples and oranges. Most defense lawyers make a lot of money. Most murder defendants do not make a lot of money in donations.
You gotta kill somebody to rake in the big bucks. Just claim it was self defense... no worries.
semantics
looks to me as though she is asking for an apology
From your post up thread:
"Sybrina: Um, one of the things that I still believe in, a person should apologize when they're really, when they're actually remorseful for what they've done."
Maybe, maybe not.I think she will be their star witness.
Why do you think she won't be called?

Wow. "Everything you do is a mistake?' Can you document even one other (proven) mistake MOM has made?
You certainly are not able to charge $400 an hour if you make mistakes.
Did his accidental slip of saying the GF's name hurt his defense of Zimmerman in any way shape form or manner?
Again, WOW, "all these mistakes". Links please.
BBM: Seems to me that you have "sleuthed" this particular minor and are now trying to suggest that there is something so horribly wrong with her life that she will never take the stand to hide something about herself.
All I can say is WOW, guess O'Mara got just what he wanted when he "accidentally" broadcast her name on national TV, complete strangers trying to dig up dirt on a minor.
Your impression is mistaken IMO. The OP's phrase "what was going on in her life" does not refer to anything wrong, horribly or otherwise. Just stuff that does not match Crump's scenario and timeline; nothing that would reflect poorly on the GF. He didn't turn himself in, as per Mark O'Mara. He reportedly wanted to talk about his safety and the arrest took him by surprise.
