2008.10.14 Tony L Interview w/LE

He says he doesn't recall any strange out of the ordinary smells. LE speculates it may have been due to the prevailing smell of gasoline.
I also believe the smell of gasoline would mask the odor. The odor would also get stronger while the sealed car sat at the tow yard in the hot sun for 2 wks. MOO

LOL why not just place the blame where it belongs, makes things easier in life. You sound like my mom.. "I knew I didn't like that guy.." when I was the one who did something wrong not the dude I was dating.

I beg your pardon?

Tony and Casey stole the gas cans on June 23rd. Tony didn't smell anything that day. George was by the car June 24. He didn't smell anything.

At some point body fluid leaked out of the bags. Maybe that didn't happen until after the 24th?

this explains a lot for me, jolynna. if you spend any time at all w/ a badly decomposed body, let alone drive around w/ one, the smell adheres itself to your skin, clothes, and especially your hair and scalp. unless she was banging down the doors of everyone she knew and asking if they'd mind her taking a quick shower (i'm pretty sure someone would have mentioned that btw) before she went home to the new love of her life, then there's no way tony could have missed that smell.

It no doubt in her mind made her more interesting. He didn't really know her. She could pretend to be anyone she wanted to be. Though Casey seemed to think their relationship was serious (though the "game playing" doesn't lead me to believe it truly was), I don't think she's capable of getting close to anyone. She just "plays" at it.

I agree.. I think that's why she always had a back-up waiting in the wings.. I think she wanted to feel things for these guys, I think she hoped to fall in love but after the beginning stages and wicked lust faded she'd find she felt no love for them so she'd go to another, hoping maybe this time..

Wasn't Lee the one that mentioned her the dead squirrel crawling up into the engine?

Lee and Amy. But I think she gave them both different stories?

  • #147
I think TL was more concerned with the free food and sleepovers.lol What's she bringing for dinner tonite!!lol Didn't even pour the gas in her car - because she seemed to want to do things herself??? I think any young man who will break a lock off a girls parents shed will bear watching - of course, I'm older... but he obviously didn't give a hoot what her parents would think of him -- and I think Casey was somebody "to do" to him. He jumped on the bandwagon a little too quickly to "hang" Casey - she was supposed to be a girlfriend??? And, I am in no way taking up for Casey -- I simply don't trust this guy. I don't think he'll do to well in court.

I have to agree with you, Wanetta

May I add, What use would LEE be to be wired? LEE is part of this MESS! IMO

I believe seagull65 was more or less saying she believes TonE, not the Anthony's is "part of this". :waitasec:

Look, if you all don't agree with one another's opinion or POV that is 100% ok and happens here all day long.
But when the discussion turns to talking about how people can possibly have POV's that are counter to yours and how in the world can they think that etc etc, you are no longer discussing the topic, you are discussing the posters and it becomes a passive aggressive type personal attack.

Translation: you're not foolin' me

You know who you are and this is the only warning I will give.
if you don't know what I am talking about, then it is most likely not you.

If you find any links about more investigation please share them (LDT or anything else, cadaver dogs ever being taken to his apartment or Fusian or anything, luminol ever being used in his apartment or at Fusian, etc) Thanks! All I know is there were a couple other interviews that have not been released but that's all I've heard of. But who knows what else may come out (but I'm not assuming they investigated him any more than that myself).

Why on earth would they do all that stuff, he was not suspect! They had no reason to bring dogs to his house, the dogs hit at the ANTHONY'S house- the DECOMP was in CASEY's TRUNK- they didn't need to SEARCH for evidence, they had it!

Did Tony actually break off the lock on the shed. I read the interview and I don't remember that being said. Maybe I missed it.

I agree with wanetta that Tony wasn't that into Casey. He was just having fun and planned to move away when he was through with school. Casey was moving too fast for him.

It was in a previous document release IIRC. If I can find a link I'll post it, unless someone already has

usually they would want to take the dogs to all the apartments to rule them out, they don't know where the crime occurred or which vehicles or people could have been involved. All they know is that the body itself or items which had been in contact with the body appear to have been in KC's vehicle and back yard at some point, there's no knowledge of where the crime occurred, who placed the body or items in the trunk, etc. Still many unanswered questions

I want to hear from TonE about KC's reactions while watching the two movies that they rented from Blockbuster...we haven't heard that yet, have we?? did I miss it?

I thought there were two texts to amy about a dead animal. One was speculation that it was d dead animal, the next, a week or so later, was "definitely a dead animal".

The first text to Amy was on the 25th, stating that the car smelled bad, must've been an animal that crawled up into the engine and died or GA ran over an animal.

The second text to Amy was on the 27th stating that it was definitely a dead animal plastered to her car that caused the smell but she got rid of it.

I don't think GA would admit to a smell in the car on the 24th if there was one. I think that if a smell was there when AL picked her up then the gas fumes most likely masked the smell.

At any rate, the smell was there on the 25th by KC's own admission. It was most likely there on the 23rd and 24th. I don't think KC would've mentioned it to Amy until she felt she had to, definitely not on the first day she noticed it.

He says he also didn't smell anything when he was standing with her next to the gas tank of her car on the 23rd.

And apparently no smell on her either because he says he never noticed any smell on either occasion (the 23rd or 27th). Presumably if he'd noticed any smell on any of the other dates she was parking her car at his place and staying with him, he would have mentioned it to LE.

Seagull, if TL was involved in any way at all, he had the PERFECT opportunity to throw Casey under the bus by telling LE he did smell decomp on her and in the trunk, know what I mean? JMO.

  • #156
If TL was a smoker, he may not have a very good sense of smell. MO

Do you have a link/evidence you can share regarding Lee being involved in the disappearance or murder? thank you

In response to the part I bolded, Tony didn't use a shovel to break into the shed. He used a tire iron.
Page 45 of LE's supplemental report. The same supplemental report also talks about Tony taking a polygraph. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orange/orl-casey-anthony-interviews,0,100606.htmlpage

I meant to thank you for this link, Jolynna, I couldn't find it :) Thanks!
I knew the part about him breaking into GA's shed, but I had never seen the part about
a polygraph

It was given to you on the last page- in this post.

Page 45 has the factual information about the "break in" and about TonE and the lie detector test if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the link/page cite for the polygraph information! I hadn't previously seen LE confirmation that Tony took a polygraph. I appreciate! :-)
