Strickland denied Baez's request to remove the prosecutors from the case.

In regards to the motion filed Thursday by attorney Mark NeJame asking the court to toss out a request to have members of Texas EquuSearch appear as defense witnesses, Strickland took it under advisement and said he would rule later Friday.

The area around the Orlando courthouse is filled to capacity as Casey Anthony prepares to go to court Friday morning.
News 13 spoke to a law expert who said, in some cases, it's to the defendant's benefit to appear in all court proceedings.

"The judge just kind of wants to make sure, get a chance to see the defendant, and in some cases, it is to the defendant&#8217;s benefit to make sure that they're being treated properly in jail," said Dean Kenneth Nunn from FAMU Law School.

10:19 a.m. Prosecutors don't anticipate a murder trial for Casey Anthony until later this year -- at the earliest, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick told the judge this morning.
Anthony's attorney Jose Baez said he wants to address possibly moving the trial to another area to ensure his client's gets a fair jury. He plans to file the request soon.

Body language expert Susan Constantine is also waiting for the proceedings to begin.

A judge on Friday denied a motion from Casey Anthony's defense attorneys to remove prosecutors from her murder trial but ruled that the defense team can inspect woods where the remains of her slain toddler were found.

It was also determined that if the trial is not set for the end of the year, a change of venue motion may not be necessary.

Strickland said that it is premature for him to make a decision about change of venue, but Baez disagreed, saying that he would like to know if the case is moving and to what area.

A trial date was not set by Strickland, who agreed with the state that it's too early in the process to determine that issue.

Casey Anthony's appearance was of major interest. She was dressed in business attire, and her hair was pulled behind her head. "We've even seen her crack a smile," WFTV's Warmoth said. "She is sitting there stoically right now."

DAYTONA BEACH -- The motel where George Anthony was found last week is now turning into a bit of a tourist attraction.
It has gotten national attention in the latest issue of People magazine.

The Anthony family announced late Friday that the First Baptist Orlando will host the public memorial service for Caylee Marie Anthony. The date and time is tentatively set for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the main Worship Center of their John Young Parkway Campus.

The lawyer for the Anthony family, Brad Conway cautioned that the date may change since the family has yet to receive the actual remains.
According to the press release, specific details about the service will be released as soon as additional information is available.

"When she's smiling and she's laughing, it's all a joke to her," Constantine told WOFL. "She loves being in front of the camera, she loves all the attention and that's what we're seeing ... the exhibitionist part of her."

But Constantine acknowledged it was odd behavior for someone charged with her child's murder. "There's no grief, there's no remorse, you don't see any of that," Constantine said.
