2009.02.18 Haleigh's Parents Taken to Sheriff's Office

I read in this article Misty was brought to the sheriff's with them all:

"Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's parents, along with the father's girlfriend, Misty Croslin, were each brought to the sheriff's office."

Now i don't know what to make of it other than that they are turning up the heat on Misty

I think it was edited after you read it see how it has Updated etc....

I think they made a mistake to start with about Misty being taken in as well

According to what was reported earlier on JVM they went in for more questioning.

Well... it has been said that the father is a known drug dealer and there is evidence in court docs that he probably was at one time...

There may have been many people coming and going to that house all weekend.

Yeah, but don't you think they'd be talking about the guy who Ronny got into a fight with? You'd think "that guy" would have been the first person mentioned when Haleigh first went missing. And by them all talking about him, would have kept his name fresh in their mind.

I havn't seen a picture of how remote this area is,was wondering if there was a store,or anything like that,where she could have walked to?? I hope she didn't do this, she is so young.

As a former dedicated smoker, :yuck: I know that few people go outside of their own house to smoke if both parents smoke. Maybe if only one smokes, but M and R just don't strike me as a go outside and smoke type. So her statement rings false to me. Just my opinion.

So true! Ron smokes, too why would she go outside? Unless she was smoking pot or something, or of course, it is yet another made up story of hers. Lord knows at this point..

I don't recall "evidence" however I do recall accusations from the Bio Mom and her dad that he was a drug dealer.

He passed his drug test that was ordered by the courts.

I am sorry any young man that takes the effort to have custody of his children says a-lot to me. He appears to try and do what is best for his children. There are too many running the other and not taking responsibilites for their children

Thank you, Jane, i wonder if they meant Misty had been taken in seperately, and slipped in the reporting then edited it? We seen the pics of Ron and Crystal in cars on the way there i'm guessing. Crystal was in a van and Ron was getting into the passenger side of the detective's car. You'd think reporters surely would jump for a snapshot of Misty, since she's made this a crazy case. I think she may have either been at the station before them, or was behind at the camp, possibly LE grilling her somewhere.

but I think if Haleigh had been found , she would be at a hospital getting checked out.

Ed Smart was taken to LE office to see Elizabeth.
They needed to question her.

It is very unusual to take them all in at the same time, imo. They have been conducting interviews all along so I don't believe it is true they went in to question them further. They just don't work this way in every other case I have followed. Something else is up, imo.

I do not believe Misty is guility, I seen some pictures the other day Misty had submitted to the news off of her cell phone, of haleigh and her brother and they all seemed very happy. But then again i'm not sure why Misty is adding stuff on to her story and taking stuff off makes my mind wonder and just really confuses me, hope that made sense. The LE are being 'tight lipped' at this point, maybe tomorow something will come out as to the real intent for escorting them there, dunno???
