I haven't listened to the entire deposition yet, but I'm so disappointed in what I've already heard.

LA: "I believe everything Casey has told me."

JM: "So you knew she was lying when she said she was in Jacksonville"

LA: "Yes, I knew she was lying."

I just realized that those threats by "Zanny" to hurt all the members of the Anthony family if Casey didn't follow instructions, were actually direct threats from Casey to Lee, George and Cindy.

She had already killed Caylee. The rest of the family BETTER follow HER script or they would be next.

oh they know. They are just feeding us kool-aid. And they are pissed off that we won't drink it. From day 31 they accepted what casey had done, dealt with it and decided to move on. They are pissed because no one else will let them.

I haven't had time to read all 36 pages of this thread nor the transcripts, but I watched some snippets of it and I have to make a comment here.
First of all, it seems to me Mr. Morgan is wearing two hats. He is acting as attorney for his client, and also trying to act as prosecutor. A lot of the questions have absolutely NOTHING to do with clearing his client's name, and EVERYTHING to do with the criminal case against Casey. Asking Lee who he referred to as CMA in the memorial... what did that have to do with ZG? I said the same thing when I read the list of questions he wanted Casey to answer, because there were some questions that should be left to the prosecutors in the criminal case.
This deposition should have taken no more than 20 minutes if he had stuck to questions regarding his client's civil case, and it stretched into 3 hours? And I heard him state last night that it was not over, they intended to continue it on Monday. WTH? Mr. Morgan is stepping WAY over the line for his client, and someone should put a stop to it.
I don't blame George or Cindy for trying to postpone their depositions. This man should NOT be allowed to do this to this family, in spite of how gleeful everyone seems to be about it!! He is out to publicly humiliate them, and he has no legal right to delve into the criminal matter outside of how it affected his client, and a lot of the things he talked about last night was way beyond that.... he was analyzing Lee's body language and suggesting things that were completely removed from ZG's case. When was he hired by the state attorney's office to prosecute? How does he know when to switch hats? This is completely ridiculous, and he should be ashamed... if not disbarred!
I know that it is the general consensus here to hate all the Anthonys, but I am surprised that some of the legal eagles her can't see the ramifications of this whole thing, maybe they did and I missed it.

I am going to agree with you on this. While I enjoyed reading the mangled rough draft transcript purely for entertainment purposes, the scope of the questioning was way too wide. Showing the KC was a liar, why? Everyone knows that already, even her family. Asking Lee about looking for KC, why? Again, we all know she is a liar. Mr. Morgan is grandstanding and it irritates me. Whether or not ZFG has been damaged by this, I can't answer that question, but I think that once Lee made the statement that 'This ZFG is not the one KC was talking about, the deposition should have been over.

The end of segment 3 in WFTV's version is almost too much for real life. LA's explanation of Zani's orders to KC through myspace posts, text messages, etc. to be somewhere at a certain time. KC would go of course, LA says, because if someone has your daughter you do what they say!!! Sheesh!!

Why didn't JM ask him "Lee, did any of this make sense to you?"

My opinion of Lee has really changed after listening to this litany of garbage.

Lee made sense out of the senseless...on many ocassions apparently.
A for instance: Casey just sat there in Blanchard Park and because a woman whom she had known for YEARS and had trusted with her baby for YEARS grabbed her arm, she just sat there and did nothing and allowed that woman to make off with her BABY without a struggle, without a shout out, without a word...she just sat there and "took her medicine" and got ready to "learn her lesson".

YUCK! PUKE! UGH!

If someone is threatening your BABY you do not just sit there and do nothing-you fight to to the death-you scream, you chase the car, you take down the license and JOB #1-You call the police and immediately tell them the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth to SAVE YOUR CHILD!

This is ludicrous that he expects anyone to believe that she fell into a surreal state and did nothing. What is surreal is at what point did she make up and settle on this most ridiculous version? I know WHY she settled on it...she had already lied about Sawgrass and SAW how easy that lie was for LE to dispel. SO she chose a place that was NO address, NO place, NOTHING to check...

And WHY the family did not run screaming this to the police as FACT if that is TRULY what they believed?

I think my head is going to explode. You know why? I love my immediate family-my husband and my children, but if any one of them MURDERED a BABY my love would not stand in the way of my SENSE and there is no way I would enable them in their lies and poppycock! Who does this? I think THIS is surreal!:furious:

I'll admit, I don't like Lee and really never have so I'm biased. Having said that I thought it was admirable (yesterday) that he was going to go through with the depo. I ***hoped*** that he'd step up, clear the air, tell the truth, and stand up for Caylee. Hope springs eternal, doesn't it? At worst I thought he'd get up there and plead the fifth. Somehow, to me, this was WORSE.

How is it possible for such a poor opinion of someone sink lower? I hate to be UGLY but this family sometimes makes Casey look good!

I've sometimes wondered if this a defense strategy to build sympathy for Casey. You know, the "Casey's family is soooooo awful, sooooooo dysfunctional, she just never had a chance defense." :boohoo:

SOZFGDI (some other zfg did it). Just thinking out loud after watching him.

I think they have to go with the SOZFGDI. Hence, the "I have to believe her," bologna. Casey has painted herself into this story. She has not budged, even after Caylee was found. She has forced them all into this unbelievable corner.
It has nothing to do with their delicate psyche, special grief, etc. They want to avoid having to say these things in deposition because they know we know!
They know Casey killed her daughter. They know there is no Zanny. But they know their daughter is so buttstoopid and stubborn and she won't come off the kool-aid. Anyone who will lie to LE and walk them all the way down the hall at Universal until she runs out of carpet is not going to blink an eye at how undeniably ridiculous her lies sound.
Watching CA, GA and LA dance to her tune has been the most sickeningly fascinating aspect of this whole tragedy.

The one Casey was talking about was a made-up fairytail in her own mind, based on some facts she gleaned from SOMEWHERE...THIS ZFG is the ONLY ZFG who has been shown to have any connection to Sawgrass, and her car matches the description that Casey gave to LE...therefore, some "grandstanding" is called for to arrive at the truth.:twocents:

What Lee said was that he HAS to believe his sister.

The words "has to" are important here. Even Morgan stated that he directly asked Lee having to believe something and believing it is different and he would not answer.
I do not believe that Lee believes this in his heart, but he may "need" to believe it in his mind. That is understandable IMO! Who could believe something like this? Its his sister and his niece. For his own sanity he may have to believe that someone else did this. No its not healthy but IMO it is understandable. From what I have seen so far I think Lee is being honest I know I am going to get flamed but please understand this is my opinion. Thanks:blowkiss:

His body language is so over the top ridiculous that I'm almost afraid to ignore what it may mean.

KC is in jail so she can't further kill anybody right now.
Is it at all possible that there is still someone who knows something holding threat over the A's?
Or could Lee be playing out the outside threat theory?

And lets not forget Lee's lawyer was there. If Lee answered the question and his lawyer didn't speak up thats their bad not Morgan's. Whether we know she lies or not its ZG lawyers job to prove it and in IMO there is no such thing as out of bound questions. Like I said he didnt have to answer his lawyer could of refused him to. We know he did on a couple of question. Besides ZG lawyers dont know the route that KC defense is going and any questions answered might help ZG just incase they choice to try to finger her to save KC arse in the murder trial.

Lee had to say what he said to cover his own arse....he could not very well go in and say "Yeah, I knew and did everything I could to help her cover it up." The truth would put him in the jail with her.
