2009.08.05 State Deposition of George Anthony

the deep freezer comes up a lot in cindys' and georges' depo. Did LE remove any of the food inside the freezer to check for bodily fluids?

I notice how cindy and george both discuss how very small the freezer is. Wonder why they give such detail? Cindy also talks about putting all the trunk and car items on top of the freezer in rather big detail. They were never asked where they placed the items after removing them from the car.
Also, george talks about the garage being disturbed when they arrived back from L.A. (larry king) saying there were towels by the washer and dryer, that they would have never left there.

Something is raising my hinkey meter with it.

My hinkey meter is raised each time any of them goes into elaborate detail without being prompted. hmmmm.

Quoting myself, bad form and all ... :slap:

I think what may have happened here is that one of the investigators, after learning the rare duct-tape was found on the remains, mentioned to the SA that "ya know, I saw that tape at one of the Anthony command centers". SA asks George about it and he dances around the answer some, but they realize he knows something ...

So after the deposition, a "source" inside OCSO calls up Kathi B. and says "Hey, you might get a scoop if you search through some old video..."

It takes a couple-a weeks but video is finally found. Kathi gets her scoop, and OCSO gets their evidence.

If only they'da asked folks on WS's first ... :banghead:

Clearly, since the beginning of time LE and journalists have had wink and a smile reciprocal relationship, and I am OK with that.

My favorite, very favorite part of this entire depo is George admitting that they were sitting around, he , wife and son, and throwing out ideas , just speculating.... he used the word draw I believe, two possibilities they were "imagining" were 1) Jesse holding Casey down in Blanchard Park and someone taking off with the baby and 2) same story, insert Zanny in place of Jesse's name, and low and behold soon afterward, Casey comes out with the exact same story! Just like magic.

Just like Cindy coming in Casey's room that first night after bringing her home from Amy's and asking "Who took her?".....Suddenly....."Zanny took her, Mom".

Cindy plants the seed, Casey adopts the story, this is exacly (just turned around to be opposite, ) how Dom wound up in the woods. Casey dropped the clue, Cindy talked to the psychic, psychic calls Dom with a vision.

Apple , tree.

I was also amused at George admitting he followed around Casey's lovers, but never, ever, ever went to track down Zenida. If Lee and Malory did have a baby, I hope for that baby's sake, they move far far away from CC and Joe Joe!

Even though in this interview, GA is not as rawly, emotionally truthful as he mostly was in the original LE interview, he did do my mind a few favors as far as putting together more of a full perspective as to how things developed into the case it his is today. He actually resolved some things that were amiss in my thought process.

An example would be KC's high school years -I can't make the leap that she was as totally naughty as I was (I was a little s&%t to deal with after my freshman year), I am certain that I know now what was going on with school and that CA is lying-KC was skipping, she was slacking off, she didn't care. Perhaps the curriculum was boring her, or it was too slow for her pace (which is an unseen part of being educated-one must learn to make good use of idle time and one must be able to adapt without creating disprutions).
Senior year is a critical and elating decision time for most, but when you don't really have a plan, it becomes very depressing, and the events that followed for KC start to unravel because she does not set herself back on a right path-no one forced her to or really addressed her issues with her (um, Cindy, that would have been why real discipline would have been helpful).
For most, and I can write with some degree of experience, becoming pregnant kind of forces you back on that right path, even if you have to start at a low-level job to support yourself. But being pregnant did nothing to jolt KC's system at all. I am still convinced Caylee would have been born in a bathroom and given away or left, if KC successfully hid her pregnancy all the way through.
So back to GA, he revealed to me more than he had in all of his interviews to date.

This is as absurd as OJ claiming that is not him in those shoes and the photos must have been altered. George and Cindy just put more nails in their daughter's coffin. Obvious lies like this are going to make the jury despise this family!

I feel sorry for the jury who is going to have to listen to this carp. I'm on page 121 of George's testimony and I can't take it anymore. It's 7:30 AM -- too early for a drink????

"Probably maybe fourth grade possibly."

Only George can construct a 5 word sentence with 3 of those words being: Probably, Maybe, Possibly.

On page 265 of GA's testimony it becomes clear to me that the A's are in charge of script writing and that KC altered her story as per their instruction. My assumption is that CA is in charge of the rewrites as she sees fit (ie in trouble for pinning a specific ZFG at SG so change it to BP, etc.).

page 265, lines 2-6: "There were so many scenarios, so many things that we were thinking about, . . . We still do to this day."

He goes on to say that the family, Lee, Cindy and himself, brainstorm to figure stuff out.

It appears that KC then uses their best choice scenario to explain what happened to Caylee.

Also KC was very helpful :rolleyes: when she was out on bond as she was able to create a flyer and conduct internet searches per GA! He can't remember if she offered any real helpful information :waitasec: as to where Caylee could be found - can't remember, can't remember, can't remember specifics. :croc:

Does this man sound like someone who could specifically remember what two people had been wearing on a specific day when asked about it over a month later and then couldn't remember if his daughter had been at home the night before on Father's day? GA will not commit that KC came home the night of the 15th of June but he's sure he saw her the morning of June 16 because he was watching his favorite show that, by the way, airs everyday of the week. Okay.

:twocents:

One thing that was new for me is GA's repetition, at Ashton's insistence, of the JBP story variation. It's on page 263 of the depo.

GA is made to read from an earlier interview - July 31 - in which he speculates about a more violent version of the kidnapping - the one that later KC came out with to LP and the bail bonds crew about Caylee being taken in JBP.

I had originally thought it took KC all month to think up that silly story, but it looks like GA was already working on it, so she could be spoon fed a better one when she was released on bond. With one notable exception to ZFG being the perpetrator. His story has JG holding her down to kidnap Caylee. This is almost 3 weeks before she is bailed out. Certainly before the media circus on ZFG had calmed down.

I also notice there was a lot of denying that any messages went back and forth between the Anthony family and JB, so it looks like nothing could have been corroborated.

I don't think GA will have to "sell his soul to the devil" to try to get his daughter out of jail. He pretty much already has, imo.

Still reading through George's depo. Don't know if anyone posted on this but when he first found out Casey was pregnant, he was overjoyed (he goes on and on about how thrilled he was.) As if that is not strange enough, when asked if he inquired who the father was, he says "not that day." And the reason for not asking that day? He was just sooooo happy - "higher than these clouds.":waitasec:

hmmmm...seems as though GA is always worried like "someone" has something over on him.. in other words if GA steps out of line then he will
be pinched by "someone" about something in his past..

* NEWS FLASH * to GA

let it go, man. whatever you did in the past is over be a MAN for goodness sakes, obviously you way of managing your "company" aint working

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEssssssssss

If I may add, what he's hiding couldn't be any worse than the mess he has himself in now imo - this is a good example of that saying "the webs we weave".

Sure makes me curious, sure does.

And wouldn't telling the truth be an easier option? WTH? If GA would rather burn in :furious: than tell the truth, I guess that's his choice.

Very strange.

O/T but on topic lol to me George has made it crystal clear that they all read each other very well and they follow their own script-ex: Casey is not at fault for lying about being employed, George is at fault for checking her out. Cindy and George telegraph what truth they will find acceptable ex:"who took Caylee" and Casey follows through with the appropriate response. "Zanny." Because it is not acceptable for Casey to have murdered her child and dumped her. It is not acceptable for George to meet the father of Caylee (one night stand or something similar) so he does not push it. These folks are fine with staying compartmentalized in each others lives. Casey was counting on that to work for her even when she was caught and it continues to work.

One of them has been record-keeping however. Every family I have ever known like this has someone who is the record keeper...someone who keeps a handle on the actual truth. Wonder who it is.

Very strange.

Imagine the innate truth of what Casey said about being punished and being given a script-that is not far from the truth of their lives-they have a very narrow range they are given-everyone has their role and knows their scripts. And you are punished when you blur the lines...for example when George verified that Casey was not employed at Sports Authority. Big no no.
George constantly steps outside his box however.

I have never in my born days seen such a group of people so afraid of one another.

Dont know if this has been brought up but did anyone else notice that GA told the media that KC and the family communicate through letters yet in this depo he says he has never received a letter from KC? Am I reading that right?

Hello WS :)

I read this whole thread, thank you everyone who read through the transcript. I am confused as to which one this is, who is George giving these answers to? Sorry to be so lost. Don't know how I am...

but-Diner's Drive-thrus and Dives: I knew that George had said he was watching one of his favorite shows because of the GVS interview. He started to say the news but corrected himself. I never knew we got the name of the show. First I was sickened because this is one of my very favorite shows, now it may be ruined for me...

I watch Food Network all day long. I am watching it right now as I type. I turn it on in the morning and leave it on all day long. On weekdays I only turn the station for two hours: spongebob and fairly odd parents come on at two and then I turn it back to food network at four.

I don't live in Florida so I don't know if they get different programming I doubt it because food network would air the same anywhere AND triple "D" does not come on during the day. I know a WS found the schedual and I am sure they are correct and I am wrong...

but I had to say that I know triple "D" is a food network nighttime show. Just as they only show "iron chef" and "mission impossible" during the night. I have no problem thinking that George is lying about what he was watching or maybe he has Tivo(sp?) but I do wonder why Food network itself is saying it comes on at 1:00?

ETA: Duh! To me! Maybe if I read the name of the thread...the STATE's depo. Sorry. This is my first case ever and I get confused. The Anthony's have lied to LE, the FBI and the STATES ATTY and then there is the Grand Jury...so many authorities...so many lies. It is hard for me to understand how you can lie to so many authorities and still be getting away with it-? Unreal.

:cow:

I think it would be satisfying for us to know how many times the despicable GA said in his deposition, "I can't remember," "I don't remember," I can't specifically remember" "I don't specifically remember" and those same phrases using the word "recall" instead of "remember."

I've tried to do it myself, but evidently my version of Adobe is too basic to allow me to do a search or to convert it to a Word document that I could search.

This is the man who claims to have loved Caylee! I grew incensed reading his depo watching him evade LE's questions with his "I don't recall" or "specifically recall." I refuse to let this cretin think he got away with his "clever" evasions.

I know--this case is pushing me over the edge. :blowkiss:

Interesting how he has such detailed recall of any matter that supports Casey's innocence though... "As a matter of fact..." blah blah
I also noticed that both he and Cindy, when about to tell a whopper, starts with "My gosh" or "Oh gosh"...it is supposed to lure you into seeing them as simple, innocent, truth-telling folks.

Ok...this is the point of the depo where I can't take anymore of this nonsense.:banghead: It's so pathetic. The denial, minimizing, blaming, fabricating and manipulation of information and experiences are completely mind-boggling....when will this ever stop so that Caylee can get justice?

These people must have to bite their tongues until they bleed to avoid asking a natural question..."So, honey, is the father happy? Who is he?"

That or they are the LEAST curious people I have ever heard of!!!

(Respectfully snipped)

Each time I hear from him, I find this man increasingly disgusting and disgraceful. So many of his comments shocked me in this depo, but the worst was when he was referring to his new job around July 15th. "Great Company - I lost a great job because of this". WTF!!

In contrast, the more I hear from the DA's, the more on-the-ball I realise this team is.
