Holy Moly, I've never noticed this....

The duct tape is missing from the gas can.

She used the duct tape from the gas can????

No, there's no way that George had 3 seven-to-ten-inch-long pieces of duct tape on his gas can covering the hole.

Whenever George says "most definitely," "I'm positive," you can bet that whatever he's saying totally contradicts some other item of evidence. If you go through everything he said in that deposition about what he definitely, positively remembers about the gas cans, you'll see that it is impossible for all of those statements to be true.

What appears clear from GA's deposition is that GA does NOT know alot about alot that went on in his own household. Or he is hiding behind severe memory loss. jmo

George, like many of the other Anthony clan, suffers from selective CRS (Can't Remember 🤬🤬🤬🤬). This is something that they do when they really know the answer and know that the true answer is going to be something that will make themselves or Casey look more guilty. It also doesn't help that George was just an afterthought in that family, someone to wash the cars or take out the trash. Cindy was queen with Casey on the verge of taking the queen out for her own personal gain.

I know that we have one roll of duct tape in our house. It is in the kitchen on top of our fridge and has no special markings. I know that the tape came from Lowe's, as that is where we buy the majority of our home improvement items from, and that the tape has been in our home for at least 5 years. I feel sure that George, being the stickler he is for all things being just right, knows when, where, and how long ago that tape was bought. And if George can't remember, Cindy could tell him!

Oh yea, MOO

And if you were the father of a child who you believed could never do such a thing and even changed your story from knowing it was decomp in the trunk to it was pizza why would you admit to knowing that the very tape that is on your gas can now is the very same tape that was used to tape up your granddaughter's face.

I actually thought the tape on the gas can was placed there very neatly. How neat is GA anyway? jmo

My DH callS it CRS! GA contradicts himself quite often and I'm certain he knows a whole lot more but chooses to keep it like this. Sad to say the least. JMO

Ok, seriously, how many of us pay attention to duct tape?

I just did a walk through of my house, one roll in the laundry room (grey), one roll in the kids bathroom (I don't even want to know why, grey again), 3 rolls in DD#3's room (blue, gold, and green, I think for her drill rifles), 4 in the garage (must ask DH why so many), and one each in every vehicles trunk (emergency repairs?), none of which at first glance have any kind of logo on them.

But, I can honestly say, I don't have a clue where any of it came from...I remember buying a roll here or there, especially at the beginning of hurricane seasons, but this many? I asked DH, he said "I dunno know", we just have it...

I can believe that GA had no idea where it came from, or that it was significant by brand, that is just something you don't pay attention (or at least I don't).

What is significant is that his gas can tape, matches what was wrapped around Caylee.

Not to start a disagreement but merely a discussion....are you sure you were looking at Duct tape? I personally have never seen duct tape in all of the colors you describe. I have only seen it in grey and black. Not saying your wrong but are you sure you weren't looking at electrical tape which comes in all the colors of a rainbow?

Really just asking. Duct tape is not pliable, electrical tape can be pulled and stretched. Can you double check?

Duct tape comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns now. I have some green & pink plaid kind at home and nearly bought some tie-dye duct tape on impulse at the craft store last week :) In fact, the patterned kind is "Duck" tape duct tape. Electrical tape comes in lots of colors, too, and used to be the go-to tape for colors, but duct tape has come a long way, baby! It's even trendy is some circles:)

Now duct tape with the henkel logo, on the other hand, is not common.

Also watch out when he says 'As a matter of fact' - what follows will not be true..

I stand corrected...thank you. Wow I really had no idea.

Apparently I need to shop at crafts stores more often and shop less at home depot. lol

I hear ya! Who knew?!

The tape on the gas can was in remarkable shape. I wonder if they lifted prints off it? (There's too much in this case)
It was brought up numerous times with GA whether he put the tape on there, and of course he adamantly denied it, to the point of throwing a hissy fit. Then there's good old CA saying GA put it on there and he even told her so. *shrug*

So I guess Casey?

Wow what a great picture. But it makes my point that Henkel and Shurtape make many varieties of duct tape. IMO

Which only means that any one variety becomes relatively rarer and rarer as the market is diluted by so many different varieties, each of which can be readily distinguished from the other. :thumb:

Of course, I also noticed that none of the varieties on that shelf have a logo stamped on the tape surface.

Exactly, JWG. Just another nail in KC's coffin.

I have a roll of Henkel duct tape that looks nothing like the one used on Caylee . Purchased it from Lowes probably around the 2006-07 timeframe and when I checked last year it was no longer available. Nor was any other Henkel brand tape. And no, I don't live anywhere near FL, a good 16 hour drive north.

Say did you notice that the shurtape version of firegaurd without the cotton also has the shurtape logo? It got me to thinking about UL numbers. I am now going to look into see if there is some kind of requirement for labeling firegaurd types of tape. Maybe like, if your going to claim that your tape is fireproof, then you will have to label it.

Do you know anything about UL numbers? Is that Undrwriters Labratories? thanks

I am not sure about the rare thing. I would have to see the local numbers. IMO

Does it have the logo and the 200 degrees on it?

Seeing as how this thread just keeps on a going and going like the Energizer Bunny I would venture to guess that the defense finds the duct tape (x3) very damaging to KC's defense

Never mind...you would think by now I would have learned to read the whole thread before responding...LOL

I was even going to go take a picture of my DD's practice drill rifle!

Sorry...carry on with your regular posting schedule now....
