2009.11.06 Forensic Entomology Report Released #2

The Filters from vacuum(s) in the A home that was sent to Haskell :skip:

SUMMARY of FINDINGS

The insect evidence recovered from these filters supports the presence of decomposing remains being present in the trunk of the car as detailed in my initial report. The insects recovered do not alter my conclusions or initial findings in an way other than to reinforce the already stated conclusions in the original findings on the case insect analysis...of the trash bag and the trunk of the car.

It was made clear during Dr. Haskell's testimony that the vacuum and filters mentioned were forensic equiptment used to collect evidence, not the Anthony's personal vacuum(s). The report states CA cleaned the car, yes, but says nothing about her using a vacuum.

You are correct MK those filters were from forensic equipment. In this link, pages 52 and forward have the Anthony's vacuum cleaner and wet vac results. No bugs are listed in any of their vacuums or floor cleaning machines. The link also details bugs that were gathered at the remains site.

Now Harmony, you know I can't read that report. ;)

But thank you for the confirmation that I did hear what I thought I heard. :)

Huntington did say that the flies will find a way to penetrate a bag to feed. I wish he could have said more about just how they get inside. He also admitted that the flies didn't get inside the black bag with the body at the woods site. He also said the female flies try to find a secluded nook and cranny place to lay their eggs away from the feeding site. Either some flies got into the trunk before it was opened and others repelled, or when it was opened for awhile. I'd like to know if the state thinks the body was in a sealed container at first or if they think the trunk was sealed enough along with being in a trash bag. I think being wrapped in a blanket wouldn't make any difference. Decomp would seep through the blanket.

The prosecutor's star "bug" expert's theory was that Caylee was sealed up in a way which prevented blow flies from getting on her body right after she died.

I think the prosecution's expert's interpretation of the bug evidence (according to the interviews he gave) is consistent with a killer who took some care to make sure that the suffocation was foolproof.

The evidence from the Anthony computer found by Az and JWG is just another chapter in what I thought ALREADY was as easy to read as a novel. All the evidence--the stinky car, Casey's lies, the bug evidence, Casey's texts, that Casey had to steal instead of go to George for money & gas when she "supposedly" had something "on" George, Casey's HAPPY Blockbuster video not long after Caylee's demise--leads to only ONE conclusion.

In my opinion, between Neal Haskell and Huntington there was NO CONTEST. Especially with a car that reeked to high heaven and trash that was all paper and empty containers (nothing there to leak, feed coffin fly maggots or stink for years).

I always have such a hard time with the bug evidence.
-We haven't ruled out that Casey cleaned the car free of the early bugs during the 2 weeks between Caylee's death and the car being abandoned.
-She also admits to keeping cleaning products in her trunk. Something tells me miss lazy didn't regularly clean anything except after this one mess she made.
-I have a problem with her being in the trash bags any sooner than the afternoon of the 17th because the trunk stain formed a perfect silloutte of a small child lying on their side.
