2009.11.12 Mallory Parker's Depo *read it here*

  • #281
The strangest thing I thought Mallory Parker said in her deposition was something about Amy Huizinga lying about knowing her in front of Lee Anthony. I kind of skimmed through that deposition because that docstoc is hard to read, so maybe I missed something important pertaining to that. Why would Amy Huizinga lie about knowing her in front of Lee. What was that all about? Did anyone get that? Nothing else in that deposition really caught my eye.

Well she said Lee told her Amy lied about her. She never heard it. Sounds like maybe someone making up something to make Amy look bad?

...yeah...the one that they phoned in orders IIRC...who was it that said to order him a steak...was it Baez?

Yep, I'm pretty sure it was Baez because he was going to be late to the dinner, or something like that.

I read that also logicalgirl. She is only Lee's girlfriend not an Anthony as someone stated. Unless they impeach her statements, I will have to take them for the truth.
I don't think she said the family was feeling sheer panic. I can't find that in the depo. She says she felt it.

I'd be more than a little leery bringing the next grandchild into that house. mo

I'd run like the wind, bullseye.

MP actually knew Caylee and played with Caylee on several occassions. Alrighty then.

It's very sad when complete strangers go out of their way to go to the remains site to say a prayer for Caylee, but MP takes the other direction to avoid thinking about Caylee. Yes, don't think about it, MP.

LA was real quick to tell TL about his sister's antics. It's hard to believe LA wouldn't tell his gf more about ICA. It's just that MP hardly offered any of her own insights. She didn't even sound that upset about Caylee. Wasn't LA frantic? It all sounded so bland.

What a bunch - Caylee's gone, the car was reeking of death, but let's have a nice welcome home dinner for Casey when she gets out of jail. Who are these people?

I found that really interesting as well. Supposedly, Amy said that she and Mallory became very close because Mallory was so 'supportive' of all Amy was going through. I assumed she meant they became close through communicating by computer or texting because she never said they hung out or went anywhere together.
So I think that Mama Cindy might have been impersonating Mallory , and trying to find out inside info, as she was always suspicious of Amy being involved somehow. Just pure speculation though.

Otherwise, I cannot see why Amy would make up something like that. Why would she?

Kind of reminds me that when we listened to all the interviews virtually no one broke down and cried for Caylee - where was she, was she okay, I'm so worried about her? No, there was none of that other than that small bit from George re the smell in the car and ICA possibly having done something and Cindy crying when she was caught out in a lie. That's quite staggering.

I think the dog missed Caylee more at that dinner then any one else. They probably hid Caylee's chair to make it more happy and light.

It's clear to me that my definition of "close" and MP's are very different! From what she said in her depo, I would say she had a very superficial relationship with the family, certainly not a close relationship.

I really agree with that. Superficiality is the perfect word.

I agree but that's okay because when she takes the stand, I hope they break her down to her knees. It's going to be a pleasure watching all the break downs in this trial.

I doubt they have any reason to put her on the stand. She doesn't help the case in any way. She just helps understand that she fits in well with that family. Maybe the defense would have a reason since she seems to be a spokeshole for the Anthony family but I don't think the state would care to attack what she has stated in depo at trial. It's irrelevant.

Well it goes to show you just how starved for affection and guilable some young women are, because if this was my boyfriends family and I saw this is how they reacted to a child missing,I'd have been long gone. Where is Mallory's mother? I would have slapped my DD silly,if she got mixed up with a kook family like this. :banghead::crazy:

I think she has sacrificed logic and concern for a baby merely in order to keep a man. I have often wondered about her own parents. If she was my kid, I would be horrified and would do everything I could to keep her away from this family.

Having dinner and keeping it light ... sounds very reminiscent of ISP's (Scott P) dinner he hosted for his family at his house - the one he invited the neighbor to and then called her back specifically to let her know he could make a vegetarian dish for her if she would attend (wasn't it lasagna?). Incredibly unbelievable ... people like this really do exist.

I keep thinking about how my parents would react if one of my DS's went missing. There would be no happy/light meals where my DS's name was not mentioned. In fact, there would probably be no eating at all - especially not in an organized manner.

The more we find out about the family's and close acquaintances' reactions to Caylee being missing, the more I'm truly convinced that she was a "toy" to them - just a cute little thing to show off to others, to dress up, and to be a pawn between the feuding clan. So very sad that, if anyone could have been an advocate for Caylee, it would have been MP. But, yet another person fails Caylee. Truly sad.

I would have googled instructions on waterboarding
]:innocent:

This is pure madness! There would be a lot of crying and screaming at my house in such a case. No way would there be a congratulatory dinner celebrating her return. These people are insane.

Think of all the cases we see of horrifically distraught parents and grandparents begging for their missing loved one, begging for info, unable to sleep, eat, breathe, and then watching their panic morph into a grim grief that never fades and a determined resolve to fight for an eternity to bring their babies home. Think of how these people never smile again and keep their sad lights on in the window, or sleep in the doorway of the police demanding answers. Then, think of such a family having a happy dinner and light conversation on the first day that the only one who holds the key to their loved one's disappearance, is there in the flesh to give the information needed to find their child:

Now, I can't stop the tears. Yes, the family dogs probably did miss Caylee more.

Oh no problem and I was down a few pages. She mentions panicked more times then I thought. She does say she felt sheer panic.

BBM.

Up until 24 hours ago, I would be in desbelief and asked you for a link. However, I am beyond that stage now. I am still absolutely stunned though/

I used to be sceptical why everyone was so hostile towards the Anthony's (apart from ICA, it was obvious why you were hostile towards her) but now I can understand.

I still have my reservations now (not least because I have no idea what the defense is going to be) but my opinion of the Anthonys is plummeting.

Just completely gobsmacked.

Hi uklaw... there's info in Jim Hoover's depo for the civil case (Zenaida Gonzales case against Casey) about the whole Ritz Carlton affair.

One fact MP's deposition supports is that ICA was not acting like she had any mental issues going on. No mention was made that ICA was afraid of her parents in any way. According to MP, it sounds like GA was not throwing murderous rages. I do wish they asked MP more about what she knew of LA's relationship to his sister. Anyways, ICA appeared to be sane and in control of herself according to MP's deposition.

Hmmm.... Let's see. :waitasec:

Your boyfriend's niece is missing. Your boyfriend's sister is in jail for child neglect, lying to police (at the time), and suspected of doing "something" to her daughter.

Boyfriend doesn't really talk about it to you. You don't really think it is "your place" to ask any questions. :waitasec:

Boyfriend's sister gets out of jail. Everyone gathers for a "family dinner" and wants to keep it light. Afterall, the sister has had a tough time in JAIL. Did they sing Kumbaya too? :waitasec:

 My hinky meter is off the charts. I don't believe her at all. :nono: :maddening:
I get your point, but I do believe her. I think what she claims is exactly how things are in this family and she's fine with that. Reading that thing gave me chills.

Whoever they are, it's obvious that they've been very well prepped. Mallory's testimony was perfect. She could remember what suited her, but couldn't recall anything of importance.
Forgive me, I haven't had time to read the whole thread, but OMG!...George threatens to hurt himself and Cindy contemplates divorce?

Ehhh...I'm not too hard on CA for this, cause first of all, he never really tried to commit suicide, IMO, and he was cheating on CA, which she likely knew. Further, RiverC aside, it had come out that he was a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addict-AND her daughter's a murderer-fun times!
After finding out he was okay, I might be a little pizzed, too, that my partner bailed on me so he could go drink a six pack and take a pill for attention or whatever he was up to. She resented him for all his crap, and for continuing his usual crap at a time when she needed him.

Yup...there were questions about the As online presence...wonder if there's something the State knows that we don't? Could this be the "Lee knows what he's done"? I could see Lee doing it- afterall he was the one playing detective- before Cindy would. I know that Amy had gone to the police with a "threat" of some kind...what if LE looked a little closer at all of her communications?
Pure speculation, I know...just found it interesting that they questioned her about internet use.
