BBM. In answer to your question: totally different reaction. If she were innocent, I would expect to see a shaking of the head ("no, I didn't do that") and I would expect to see her breaking down at the graphic description of her daughter's dying moments and final breath. What I saw instead was initially anger and defiance, followed by a desperate attempt to control her emotions. This is just my opinion.

BBM and of course I'm giving my own opinions too.

I saw her do "no" head shakes.
I saw her break down during the final breath moments description.
I might expect the falsely accused to request their attorney "Make him stop".

How much more totally different does it need to be?

Please let the west-coasters know what he says! We are viewing this morning's trial. TruTV is not the same from coast to coast like HLN.

(Out here we have Ms. Lyons making her case.)

Quoting myself....

Actually, if he is not talking about today's proceedings, please post Kronk's attorney's comments on Kronk's thread.

(Sorry JBean!)

As far as the Body language of Casey grabbing her wrist .....

I could be wrong but I think she was just grabbing & rubbing her wrist because of the Handcuffs.

She would obviousy be Handcuffed while being transported to & from the court house & maybe the cuffs were tight or she was just relieved to have them off

IMO, Casey's reaction, IF wrongfully accused, would be the same as it has been from July 15, 2008 to the present.

My only caveat would be that there is no "if" in the wrongly accused thing. JMO. But she was not arrested on a bleeping (as KC put it) whim. All signs point to "yes" as KC knowing exactly how when why where Caylee died.

My only interest in the hearing today is about the DP. I would prefer it never be an option.

What I would love to see is Dominic Casey's testimony that the defense tried so hard to get thrown out. Exactly what was he doing poking through those garbage bags...????

It's already been said a few times but I absolutely cannot get over the fact that Casey had the audacity to tell AL to make Jeff Ashton stop.

I think that is so unbelievably ________ (insert adjective of your choice...there are soooo many to choose from) that it's laughable. Imagine that? As if you, Casey Marie Anthony, are so important and omnipotent that you can just shut this whole thing down because you don't like what's being said?

As frightened as she may be becoming it's still all about her no matter what. It's interesting to see the ingrained character traits and flaws she subconciously reverts to when the shiz hits the fan.

Oh! I want to play lol

naive?
pompous?
incredulous?

Lots of comments coming in here about her displays of emotion and body language. It's always hard for me to make firm conclusions about any of that. I do have an open question for anyone and it's a hypothetical.

If KC is being wrongly accused of premeditated murder (and she would know this) what would be her expected reactions and emotions while on camera in this courtroom situation? Would it be entirely different than what we saw?
I believe a totally innocent person would never have made it to this point in the trial process. She would have reported her daughter missing and cooperated with LE. She would have confided in her friends and her top priority would have been Caylee from minute one. She'd have taken a lie detector and so would her family and they would have passed. She'd have broken out in hives or whatever, everytime a body was found and not just when one was found where ( I believe ) she dumped it. I'd be accepting visitors and would be smart enough to use the sunshine laws to my advantage in every phone call or video visitation. I could go on..
I don't know what to expect from KC after all the dream team coaching but if I were innocent and in Casey's shoes after doing all of the above, I'd be psychotic in court, raging with outrage if my childs killer was going free while I negotiated pre-trial details assuming my guilt. I wouldn't even care what I looked like or if I was ejected from the court. But then, I also would have insisted on a speedy trial and wouldn't care about LWOP vs the DP if I were wrongly convicted. I'd have no reason to live anyway and would want to die and be with my baby who knew I was innocent.
JMO- Good question Hodogs!

ITA! I feel that for the first time KC is realizing what she did. I feel her tears today, while not for Caylee, were real tears. I think she has kind of dissociated her self from what happen and today she had to face it. She started off angry, but once she could not react in anger, she was defeated. I don't feel it was remorse, but I do feel it was shame and that she knew she was caught.

Even though I'm not convinced she is the murderer, I thought it was so good for her to be confronted, and I always wished she had been confronted much earlier on and made to answer questions, and also allowed to talk, talk, talk, with TV privileges and every other privilege suspended until she explained what happened with Caylee. I think her silence has done the most to convict her. And I always thought she was in some kind of denial. It always seemed like she was in that weird fantasy land, as if Caylee wasn't even gone, or had never existed, rather than facing whatever it was that had happened. Because of the lack of history of any kind of abuse or neglect of Caylee, and the good, bonded relationship between the two (you can see how happy and comfortable Caylee was in her arms all the way up to the last photos of the two of them together), I thought there was a good chance Casey isn't the murderer but that she was in some kind of denial and unable to grasp what was going on.

it took me 4 passes to understand it but you're dang right. there would be no reason for it to change, right? that would just be how KC IS.

Nothing new from Kronk's Lawyer really

He was in that area to read Meters

Parked on the side of the road in the "Shade" after finishing his route

Had to use the "Restroom" & walked into the woods for privacy

When he returned to that area in December he went back into the woods out of curiosity

Also denied the accusations against Mr. Kronk that he's abusive towards woman

I don't understand why it upset the Anthonys to hear that. According to them it was not Caylees body found with the duct tape. Why was KC upset?

My response was to a "hypothetical" question of "what would Casey's reaction be if wrongly accused". Would it be the crying etc., etc.,

Exactly. :)

Thanks but you didn't really answer my question.

What would her on-camera emotions and body language look like if she was actually being falsely accused of murder one?

Breaking your question down

1st you are asking for speculation when you ask what would a person do
2nd on camera emotions (unless someone is just acting up for the camera like an adolescent might) On Camera vs. off camera emotions and reactions are generally the same. People don't usually change their MO or their complete personality traits just because they are on camera. What happens is their normal reactions are just "amped up", they do what they normally do but in faster and more pronounced ways
3rd you are looking for someone's reaction if they are "falsely accused of murder" would change depending on if this was their first reaction to hearing this information for the very first time vs hearing it for the millionth time.

I think this is actually a good question to consider...sure we're all speculating here (myself included) about her body language, but I really don't know that I'd be able to answer this.

I think really none of us knows how every individual person would react. I might be angry and defiant, too, if someone were accusing me of something I didn't do.

You're right to raise that question, because I think it really is a grey area....we all just interpret it as we see it, I guess.

I agree it is a good question to consider (originally posed by Hot Dog)...

However, I think it is difficult to guage the reactions of someone like KC who may not react the same way most of us would in the same situation. MOO.

By that I mean - given the same situation if my child was missing for even a few minutes I would be reporting them missing - looking frantically for them - not sitting on steps at some apt complex and then going to my boyfriend's apt.

Given the same situation I would be telling the authorities the truth in an effort to find my child not telling lies.

Therefore - my reactions are different than KC's reactions are to situations. I have to look at how KC has reacted in similar situations. Simply put - when discussions of Caylee have come up - she has reacted very little if at all. Perhaps because they have not been as graphic (giving benefit of the doubt here). With the past pictures we have of KC when she is frustrated and angry with her family - she is showing the same energy/facial expressions when Ashton is speaking - until she starts to cry and hide her face.

I really can't say how she *should* react if she was innocent of the charges since, so far, - most positive behavior has been 'imitated' from those individuals surrounding her WHEN they are around her- as testimony from friends and family have shown. It seems the negative behavior traits - check fraud, etc she is performing on her own (at least in the video evidence). That isn't to say she didn't learn some of the negative behavior from her environment - just that she seems to display it when she is alone.

Of course, I am not a medical professional and this is MOO as I was asked to speculate.....

somewhere about 25 minutes into the AL death qualified jury speech (don't have a counter on it for time) JB & KC start whispering, IOW I had the capability of tuning out the drone of AL's voice to pick up what JB is saying.

I tried and couldn't make it. So what were they saying??

The only times I have seen someone say "Make them stop" re: crime details were TRULY grieving parents whose children have been kidnapped or murdered by others. And watching those reactions are a lot different than KC's.

Coaching in order to gain sympathy for the defendant. Unfortunately for the defense Casey was no believable Oscar winning actress to begin with so they did what they could with what they had.
Note the defense worried about the mics and audio but this reaction was meant for the public IMO.
