2010.01.15 Letter to Judge Strickland WFTV

I'm trying to get the posts we all found....from seemingly "different" people at "different" times on "different" sites.....and am trying to match/piece them into the letter....we may end up getting a mess....LOL

You sound as if you need a good, peaceful rest, after a 24 hour shift.

IMHO, that letter has CA written all over it (in invisible ink LOL). I don't think any juror would entertain it as some form of "evidence". JMHO, though.

Cindy sure is wearing a lot of hats lately. Researcher, biologist, scientist, J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) in other words, attorney, and last, but not least, concerned citizen. With so many outstanding credentials, by the time the murder trial rolls around, I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up in court dressed in a black robe.

The writer of this letter was not very bright, imo. Their intent was to cast aspersions on the SA's office and the evidence gathered to charge KC. This attempt is not all that interesting to me, personally, for all the reasons posters have mentioned.

However, what will be extremely interesting to me will be the release of the SA's evidence which will be the only response needed to this pitiful letter. We may have to wait until trial to see and hear it - but, that's okay. It will be accurate and not a mish-mash of stuff. You won't have to read and re-read the state's evidence. It will be concise and compelling.

My humble opinion, of course.

ITA...I just don't get it. Why are these folks hell bent on clearing Casey? It's all well and good, but why don't they produce the person who actually killed poor Caylee?

But, there's nothing to be laughing about when a child gets killed and dumped as garbage.

I think CA is one sick and sorry person. All of them,except Caylee, of course. She paid for them all, and they can't even respect that.

Methinks the letter writer(s) are counting on a potential juror reading said letter and not ever checking things out for him/herself. It just takes one you know!! :banghead:

Jurors are just like you and I and most people... They don't take kindly to being taken for fools, and they're usually not stupid.

Well, lots of luck to her on that one. It went over like a lead balloon on this site and I'm sure it will do the same with any prospective juror who happens upon it.

I tend to agree although ... I think that this is more the kinda story the A's have internalized and desperately want to believe, as well as be portrayed as the 'truth' generally.

The Jury are supposed to deal with only the evidence that is presented during trial and review that during their deliberations.

The thing this does though is seek to improve the odds of a rogue juror getting on the Jury who feels a sense of outrage, that KC has been railroaded and framed --- and LE has not investigated fully.

A stealth rogue juror can occur in the best of trials and it depends a lot on the foreman of the Jury as well as the overall make-up -- those with common sense, a sense of right/wrong, boundaries, moral upbringing, good parents, etc contrasting to KC and her actions (conscience of guilt) will naturally seek Justice for Caylee. KC is trapped in her lies.

The evidence is a LOT more overwhelming than that of SP so the focus is on penalty mitigation IMHO with the Defense already claiming KC never had a chance.

I am just not sure that this has ever been about clearing Casey as much as it is an attempt to take the side of the oppostion and agrue it simply for the sake of drawing attention to oneself/oneselves.

Unfortunately, there are personalities like this. I enjoy and get a rise out of taking the "unpopular"/debatable side of an issue and arguing it simply to inspire conversation and attention.

As I have mentioned previously, we have seen it happen here in our forum for short periods of time. A "new poster" joins to forum to debate or disagree with every single post, merely to incite furor in the forum, and the thread takes off, flying through page after page, creating hostility and :furious: in some, but I believe, enjoyment for that temporary "guest"

I think CA originally latched onto this group initially after they contacted her, believing maybe they WERE going to be able to help her SODDI theories, but I believe she dumped them long ago, and now they want the attention back.

I know Sleutherontheside originally found this link and AWC posted in the news section (update on case from OC Clerk of Court website), but has the media picked up and run with this story of this letter? Don't think I have seen any links to OS story, WFTV, etc...

So if it was merely logged into the case file, but the media is not really paying attention to its existence, how is it going to sway any potential jurors...unless they frequent a crime forum?

Or have I just missed these news reports???

No...she's just not that smart. Based on what has been produced in discovery, a letter from Joy would have been more rambling and less researched.
