I've rec'd a bunch of notes from concerned members regarding starting a rumor here. JBean is not available at the moment, so I removed the posts until she has a chance to look them over. Please refrain from discussing the issue until she has a chance to make a decision. Thanks!

I'd agree with you if JB was one of many high profile attorneys jostling to try to win the KC case -- however -- he was at the right place at the right time and KC was filing as an indigent.

To me it was more just dumb luck that JB "landed the trial of the century" but he is doing a pretty darn good job of trying to lose it and get disbarred at the same time. Moo.

If I recall correctly KC called him and told him she had $5000 and he took the case.

Later - ruh roh! he finds out she didn't have that kind of moola.

He should have bailed right then and there.

If Mort is the top notch PI he has been touted to be....he doesn't need those names......to try to investigate....he could start with viewing all the videos of searches, photos of searches, and google the cached discussions about searches......

Then he could use facial recognition software to try to tag the faces and see if there are any social media profiles out there that match......then he could attempt to link names to faces and use the online WHITE PAGES........

If he really wanted this info so badly......he would be able to employ some true investigative skills to do so, but since he is a part of this team I won't hold my breath....

I think the SOP isn't to take initiative and do real legwork as much as it is to whine, cry, complain and ask someone else to do it. ....

I wouldn't be a BIT surprised to learn that ole Mort has visited here on a regular basis (as guest/lurker) and is probably STILL trying to find a phone book that lists a number for "Macushla"!! :dance:

NTS, thank you for explaining that it was just speculation based on your observations. I don't agree with your reasoning but I do appreciate you clarifying that for me. The many times you've stated that Baez's strategy is to make us think he's dumb, you've stated it with such authority, I thought you knew it to be a fact.

My only concern is that, JB already has a high profile attorney who is more experienced and somewhat more eloquent, i..e, AL. However at the last motion hearing AL seemed to want to chime in, JS invited AL to chime in and, JB completely excluded her to keep the stage.

My sense is that JB will allow the experts to do their technical thing .... but he is going to take the lead and feel the need to grandstand -- and that's his downfall. He is not lead counsel, neither an opening argument guy or a closing argument guy even though he wants to be. Sad but true.

My mental picture has JB with his arm up the back of the experts and while they are talking he will be moving his mouth so he can pretend he is articulating the argument and presenting his case.

Cases have been won and lost on how they are presented and how articulate the presentation and cross examination is.

New Documents Filed in the Casey Anthony case. The article was written by Amy L. Edwards. I thought the comment was relevant because it was similar to a lot of the speculation posted on other threads in this forum. Namely the thread titled: Prosecutors New Motion for Private Meeting w/Judge but w/out Defense

I did not mean to cause a stir. I just thought that if local people (Orlando residents) who allegedly knew something based on their sources were echoing some of the speculations that has been posted in this forum, that perhaps we may see some new developments in this case in the next few days.

It was not my intent to spread rumors from another forum. I think I should have posted my comment on the above mentioned thread instead of this one.

You know.....I typed forum, but you are right it was a reader comment. The topic is VERY relevent and you didn't state it as fact, and did offer a link. My concern was that as pages and pages continued, that it would become assumed as fact if posters didn't catch the beginning of the thread, and Lisa_Marie did not offer a link to her proof. I should have been more articulate. I wasn't singling YOU out Brownflower.....just wanted other posters to tread carefully and avoid STARTING a rumor..... KWIM??? :blowkiss:

You're right sleutherontheside. Thanks for keeping us focused. But when I first read it, it was like shock and awe but in the end it is just another rumor. Obviously we are so crazed for information here we are ready to jump onto anything. Keep us straight. :angel::angel::angel::angel:

There is "book smart" (reference passing the bar........) and "street smart" (knowing how to manipulate for your benefit). I believe he falls into only one catagory. Dumb? Nah Smart? Ummmmmmmmmmm Nah Clever? Jury is still out.

Experience is a good teacher. Veteran attorneys who have paid their dues are comfortable in their own skin when it comes to court. JB looks like it is his first day at school....ever. JMO

I'm not an Attorney but from what I read of the comments from his Peers, they all seem to think he is 'dumb'- from Bill Sheaffer to R Hornsby, Attorneys on this site, Attorneys on National TV crime related shows, all seem of the opinion that he makes lots of mistakes, is bumbling and totally out of his depth but not willing to admit that. That fits my definition of dumb.

It's all good. That's why I didn't post what she had written. I only linked to it. Hope there is some truth to it though. I really want to see this case move forward already! And thank you for your diligence in keeping it real.
