2010.02.16 Document Release: Stain on Trunk Liner

Ok...I'm playing catch up...the motion concerning the stain hasn't been brought up yet, correct? I got the chance to watch Vass and got the distinct impression that he was staying clear of talking about the stain...though I do think mention of it slipped out. When will this motion be heard, Wed.?

Don't run. I think you are seeing what I am seeing, what I tried to describe in my previous post:



I have highlighted what I am seeing. Apologies for the shaky lines; my mouse went a little haywire. Look (in the non-highlighted version) at what I marked as the left hand and see if you can see fingers and a thumb. If you blow the image up a little it seems clearer.

ETA I relabeled the yellow areas of the image, as well.

Ooh Yeah. Thanks for posting that. I couldn't wrap my brain around what you were describing. Your drawing makes it clear. I've tried to draw what I see but it could be either way. AZ pointed out earlier that the dark bands on her arm could be tape so I wrote that in too.

Just wanted to add that the bottom of the laundry bag looks like the shape of her foot in JWG's image. I apologize if this has been posted before I haven't read all the way back.

oh gosh Chiquita - what area are the photos 21,22,23 from?! That looks like a cheek/mouth profile O.O

CarrieSis, pics 21, 22 and 23 are from the exact part of the trunk liner where Caylee's head would have been resting if we are right about the rest of the stain being an imprint of her body from the neck down!

I'm so glad you can see something in those pics--I can't--can you explain more what you're seeing?

I see a round stain with a black line from side to center. Could this be where duct tape was and it had the same effect as the pull-up diaper where body fluids seeped around it into the carpet, leaving the carpet clean in that area?

When I photoshoped the "head" image this came out. It looks like a band across the top of the head too.

Putting it all together then, the body imprint would have been chest, stomach down, legs slightly bent and slightly left-lying and this would be the left or right side of her face? Left?

Yes, that is for sure where her head would have been if we are right about the rest of the stain. It should be the left side of her face.

Oh, I can see it now, too. Could not make it out before? Poor baby.

They might be able to argue the body, leg and foot but with this portion of the picture it is obviously Caylee. I don't know how the A's will be able to stand looking at this picture if SA uses it. This makes it personal for everyone. jmo

See, your drawing is pretty much what I saw at first too. It's kind of like those pictures where you either see a young woman or an old woman http://mathworld.wolfram.com/YoungGirl-OldWomanIllusion.html With these trunk pictures I 100% can see both possibilities. It's a bit maddening.

ETA if the prosecution does have a pretty good image of the head I think it would help a lot in determining the angle of the body. I hope they do have one.

Does this help? I apologize for the shaky writing. The light brown area looks like hair to me and the dark red skin. In this picture the area where her mouth would be does not show up because as Pip pointed out that area was taped. The band across the top of her head could be tape or the top of the laundry bag I guess.

I couldn't notice until the arrows were added. Then I still couldn't see it. Then I tilted my head and focused on the arrow/nose first and WOW!!! Very defined! Thank you!

Wenwe - maybe there would not be on the blanket. The trunk liner carpet "off gasses" for a long time and may have reacted with something that the fibers of the blanket (what was it made of?) would not have?

If the WTP blanket is the one I'm thinking of it is a cotton poly mix.

looking for the wtp blanket pics or pink blanket found at the remains site - wondering if there are images in the blanket as well. If our theories are right, there would be the same image on the blanket that was found with the remains. Anybody have links to those pictures or know when they came out?

If the blanket was around Caylee in the car then went to the lot, it went thru the whole event and sat underwater for 6 months - probably doesn't have this 2.6 days (nice & neat) imprint. KWIM?

I don't think the area is as large as shown above. Isn't that piece of fabric only about 5" long and this is only a portion of it?
