2010.04.14 NG: Misty taken to the search scene

St. Johns River flows 1/3 mph

Its what's called a "Lazy River"

Stupid question here. At which part of the river (where they are searching) be the fastest flow?

The middle or the area between the docks where they searching?

My experience's have only been with swift moving rivers such as the Ohio.

JC brought up the body language of the police. I agreed, to me they also appear to really want something from MC, while those on the periphery are really busy and focused. I think that MC's body language may mean another half-truth in action--perhaps wrong location as she seems to be leaning, her shoulder canted in the direction behind and to her left. I'm thinking she gave them a wrong location.
I'm sorry, but to me, those cops didn't seem a bit negative towards Misty. They were animated, & looked frustrated, but not necessarily with her.

Kimster has asked us to stop knocking NG on this thread. Because it moves so fast, and some probably missed it, I'm repeating it. And I'm the one that usually gets in trouble!

I'm sorry... I'm disgusted.

I will stop and be good I swear!!

I'm getting alerts in here and there are those who are going to want to discuss the rerun of NG's show in 45 minutes. So to those who are "venting" -

KNOCK IT OFF!!!!

Go to the Nancy Grace vent thread in the Parking Lot!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to thank you twice, your job is not an easy one.{{KIM}}

Usually the "sides" flow a tad bit faster than the middle. Being a lazy river is why the bottom sediment builds so fast. LE has said the sediment is very very deep.

just one thing about Crystal....way back when, NG got furious when Crystal did not know what time Haleigh's bus came down there at RC's and never forgave her...

now will refrain from any further NG issues
I understand that, I really do, I actually felt the same way, but there are worse things.

Interesting when she was asked about Tommy and NG said she beleived he was involved, and that's why he's in jail. Ok... so why then is Ron in jail, Ms. Nancy?

And if anyone has seen Misty actually pointing to a spot in that river, please let me know. I watched those clips over and over and never saw it, her hands or arms never moved.

what if??? Just what if, Ron got mad at haliegh before he left to work, he shook her too hard or threw her making her hit her head causing a closed head injury. She seemed ok he went to work, symptoms kicked in and Haliegh passed while Ron was at work,Misty panicked calling bro and cuz to help her, thereby making Ron guilty of murder the rest accesory after the fact. JMO

Oh, Man! My thoughts exactly!

Okay thank you so much. I understand somewhat now what they are dealing with about the sediment.

For instance if you stand in the Ohio there is relatively little silt and it can be quite slick on the bottom in places. The current is very swift in that river.

Thanks!

I've never seen water move swiftly near the banks and not in the middle. The water would typically be slower/calmer nearer the bank and likely the dock area. So the stronger water flow is going to be in the center of the river generally.

They are practically sitting on the ramp at this location. Woudn't trailers pull up and slide their boats out there. Wouldn't the bottom become very impacted at that spot. I imagine many things would drop off trailers or boats on that slip. Anything left there would become compacted....at least that is my thinking and if they are searching between the two docks.

So did the perp walk out there on that dock and slip her in the water. Not w/o being contained, imo. Off to the side, without using the ramp area, she could have been placed w/o contained. She could have even been buried there...but if this happened that night on the 9th, there would be no time for that....and if the van was used their would be evidence of mud, etc. (if they buried). If the walked, no mud but they would need concealment.

Oops, I am so sorry about that last comment Kimster. I saw whisperer's post about NG not sending prayers to Crystal, only ron & TN and I was thinking the same thing and just wanted to agree. Won't do it again.;)

Oh, and I do appreciate your work here which is amazing..lol. You really know how to organize. :)

dumb ?, but has NG ever asked RC why so many calls?

i honestly think Misty was meant to point out a spot or tell them they were at the right spot today...not a psyche-out...and i still think they were there due to something they really believe to be true...but amazed that we know nothing more than yesterday morning...got to say, this LE can be tight-lipped...
i also kind of like the theory that Misty was trying to tell RC don't go to werk tonight, i can't watch the babies, too hungover, and they finally agreed that if she could not handle it to give H one of these and she'll sleep...

IMO, if Misty sedated HaLeigh so she could sleep, she would have drugged Jr too. Junior weighed less than his sister and supposedly has a heart murmur so if Misty drugged the children, someone would have noticed Jr had been drugged. I believe Misty and HaLeigh got into an argument and HaLeigh hit her head and died from a head injury.

Thanks whoever put the link up for the J.O. presser--that reporter said she told Joe that she had talked to his grandmother and she said Tommy said "Joe did it". Reporter said he turned and walked away and answered no more questions. Interesting!

Also, on NG I could have sworn that one attorney-sorry didn't get the name---said he thinks they've found the body today because of the wording of LE. Yesterday they said they didn't find Haleigh. Today they said they found nothing of evidentiary value. Not to mention the forensic van pulled up again late and there was talk of family being at the police station again.

My only comment on the phone calls from RC that night is this: we heard that figure of 90 or more calls from the "investigative reporter" and not LE. So we really don't know if there were a lot of calls or not. We also don't know whether they were answered after the disposal took place or not. I can see her turning off the phone during the crucial time of disposal, but maybe turned it back on later. That might account for RC not seeming upset when he came home. After they were finished with Haleigh and she calmed down, maybe she actually talked to him on the phone and said everythings fine, kids are in bed. JMO

I tend to agree with you, East Coast, but then I'm reminded that we said the same thing when they drained the pond back in September.

But when they drained the Mondex. no family was called, or I dont think so, and as far as i know they did not involve other LE. I think ggms showed up, but LE said it was not related. Hard to keep up. This search was much diffferent in that the family was called in, and informed, of what we dont know, but my guess is that the search is for a body.

Yep yep and yep Whisp - if she was put in THERE (at that spot) after 14 months, a full summer and then a winter - with all the boat traffic without the "object" being weighed down - it si certainly NOT going to be there now. It could have been tethered to a dock support - butI think it that was the case, they would have found something a whole lot quicker. My bet is on the weight - it had to have been weighed down with something.
