I am DYING to know how JO was supposedly going to "kill Misty", especially since the gun they allegedly went to steal was gone.

RC had many guns, and according to JO my space, he did also

i just wished these people weren't so fd up that they would remember lol
I think the fact that so many of them were on drugs it's going to make the DA's job very difficult......people "under the influence" are hard to present as "credible" witnesses.....even though they may be telling the truth.

I know right? Funny thing, she just never looked terrified of anything or anybody to me..and all this time she was afraid of Joe, who has lived in Tenn. the last 14 months...yeah.ok..

Letter Misty wrote to her relatives (on NG tonight)

I feel so bad about this s*** you know cause I didn’t say it.
I was scare no one now what he said he would do you know that day when he would not go back to the house and he stayed at the story he put me up with a knife and said if I said he would come back and kill me.
He told me at the house he would kill me to so I didn’t know what to do. He has a (illegible) raped me you know.
I knew Tommy was coming to get the gun but I didn’t know it was gone and that is when Joe got mad.
Tom had walked out and that is when Joe took it.
You know I don’t know where Tommy went.
I don’t think he did s*** but I know he now.
Joe did they was so f***** up and I mean I don’t know how Joe even drove home.
That is why the van has scratch on (illegible) he was so f***** up bad.
That is all for now.
I just wish I knew what he did.
Timmy and Chelsea please right me back as soon as you get this.

Do you have a link to the actual letter?

I don't really even believe that Misty WAS that fd-up. She was crashing from everything we have been told..Smoking pot probably, but that ain't gonna do it..

yes, I dont buy that either. She would have gave up the ghost long ago, which actually she fingered JO long ago. I have spent too much time researching this, and I am not buying it.

I know!! I remember when she was robbed. Her 911 call....she was scared! The difference between those two calls (HaLeigh missing vs. robbery) are like night and day.

But when they drained the Mondex. no family was called, or I dont think so, and as far as i know they did not involve other LE. I think ggms showed up, but LE said it was not related. Hard to keep up. This search was much diffferent in that the family was called in, and informed, of what we dont know, but my guess is that the search is for a body.
I knew you were going to say that! :) They initially said the pond search was unrelated, but eventually admitted that they were, indeed, looking for evidence related to Haleigh's disappearance. I don't recall offhand if other LE was involved, but draining that pond was no small task. JMO, but I think LE learned after the Mondex search that this case has too much public interest to withstand an undertaking as visible as searching the river in a covert fashion. I will admit, though, that gathering the famiy gave me the impression that something was about to break. Yet here we are, almost two days later, and the truth remains mired as deeply in the murk as ever.

Yes she was! She had no trouble articulating what she was trying to say either.

That letter was a red herring all to get the focus off the real players.

I don't know why I let it get my BP up, lol! LE has to know it's all BS and what she is trying to do. All they need is HaLeigh and imo she can deliver that info. She or Ron..and there is NO way he's going to say a word. <<< MHOO

Didn't Levi have a copy?

I think he did/does. But I gotta give Levi props. Deciphering that writing is no small task. I wonder how long it took him to do it?

i believe it may seem mired, but I think this is the last chance for LE to find a credible lead. I believe they know what they are looking for, they know they are in the spotlight, they also have to know they cannot keep the media, chopper out. this IS big, and if this does't break the case, then IMO it will be a cold case. This is jus MO and i will be personally depressed if this does not lead to something in the next few days.

May be....I'm just not able to give the "players" that much credit though. The players aren't brilliant.....they've been lucky so far. I think their luck is running out though. Too many people involved (and they're not really smart) and they're likely at the point of "really" turning on each other now out of self-preservation. I think self-preservation kicks in eventually no matter what.....especially with young people.
