From the reports we got of the meeting the family were told Haleigh was dead and who did it.

Ron walked out with a smug look on his face. He did not drop down on the ground after hearing this news for the first time. All along he has believed she is alive.

Now either he does not believe the crime scene story or he is just not as emotional as he use to be.

I know there is alot of speculation about drugs, rape etc. But soes anyone remember the early clip of MC where she is fliipping hair and arms around saying "if I had pink tennis shoes then Haleigh had to have them" if I got my hair done then Haleight had to have hers done: etc etc etc. I think MC was just down right jealous of Haleigh and the attention she got from Ronald. MC was just a kid herself and somewhat immature in my opinion. I think she purposely killed then had TC and JOe come help her under some other story and now her and TC are trying to blame JO.

In order for me to buy this, I have to remove Ronald's actions during the 911 call and his statements immediately after his daughter disappeared, the lack of curiosity he discusses when he says he never asked Misty about what happened, the fact that their stories changed in tandem, that he seemed to be the most served at that 911 call, not Haleigh. That he was too distraught to talk to police when they arrived.

I agree that Misty was jealous of Haleigh; she is very young and very immature and was stuck in a role that many young girls cannot handle very well. I stop at the point where Misty's hesitant story of the events of that night were supported by Ron and his family, not because they wanted to keep their enemy close, but because it served Ron's best interests, and not Haleigh's.

imo, I also think the whole thing is staged to bring out the real killer or truth. There is no way the body can still be there. St John River is a tidal river. lots of alligators and other big fish. If the body is in some sort of container, it would have to have been weighted down very very heavy, in which case its way way down in the mud and sludge.

A side scanner cant find it. Watching the video, I don't see any signs of mud coming up.
They need a sludge remover. I think they are called. Its a huge bucket that drags the river or canals, pulls the sludge from the bottom of the river to make it deeper. Every bucket could be examined.

I lost faith in all the stories when Grandma changed her story from driving by and saw Haleigh to stopped by the house and Haleigh was there.

carlos1111, you may very well be right. Misty is very young, and even more imature than her chronilogical years IMOO. Also, I think we can all agree that she is not exactly a Rhoades scholar. So if your theory is correct that she did something to the child I could totally see her calling for help in a panic. I also believe brother Tommy is who she would call in that sort of scenerio. If cousin Joe was in town and hangin out with Tommy he could very well have come along too.

I really wish LE would find whatever the evidence is they are looking for so that we could finally find out once and for all, where is Haleigh and how did she come to be there.

True, she probably would not have told T on phone that Haleigh was dead. J could have just come along and boom he was involved or at least they had someone to throw under the bus. I just keep going back to this idea. Ron Jr was no threat to M either. he did not have special needs etc... I think it is very plausible.

Since MC was away from their home for a while, maybe Haleigh was happy about her being gone, and not to pleased when she returned. Children pick up all the tension etc when there's fighting in the home and IMO thing were pretty heated with her return. Now here she is taking care of her and her brother. On the days she was gone I'm thinking Haleigh was getting more attention from her father, now that attention is going to MC, there's a lot of reasons for her to not be happy.

But would they keep silent if in their minds all they did was dispose of Haleigh's body? Do they not know they are seen just as culpable as if they did it themselves??? Do they not know about accessory after the fact?

Once MC started pointing those fingers to JO and TommyC, if they are truly innocent why wouldn't they come out and say it! I think they are all in this up to their necks...JMHO

MC probably was very jealous of HaLeigh and I do believe she didn't want to be babysitting that fateful night. I don't know if HaLeigh was physically assaulted by MC, or how it came to be that they threw her in that River but I worry about the alligators and never finding HaLeigh!

I also believe JO is just as much a liar as MC...I saw a little clip of him saying he didn't do it and I feel lies coming out of his mouth. His eyes flutter a bit, I see him clenching down on his teeth...I don't believe any of them! JMHO

And if MC was "so sleepy" etc she may have just given her the pill to shut up her whining for one...thinking she would sleep it off like someone said earlier.

The search area apears to be a drive-down boat ramp flanked by wooden docks. I am wondering though if the van could have been scratched not by manuavering in an area without good clearance but because of where the van was parked while they were stopped and removing/detsroying evidence.

For example. We have to dispose of a body and evidence pertaining to it. We are going to an old fishing spot on the river near where we grewup. We are familiar with the area and comfortable there. But we are still trying to be very sneaky, not be seen, not be heard, not be noticed, not be recognized. We will pull up with our lights out and maybe even shut off the engine as we approach the area we plan to park, coasting to a stop. We better pull way over near that brush over there so we nor the van can't be seen from the road. Ooops, too close to the brush, now there are scratches on the van to explain.

The only reason I can figure RC wouldn't own up to a gun and a fight over it or with it is maybe the gun has been used in some crime that RC wouldn't want traced back to him?

Just braind stormin. I still believe RC is a bad dude and not a concerned father but do not feel he was part of whatever happened to his daughter, although I think he is neck deep in whatever came after.

I agree, except for one part, I believe he is up to his neck in what came before.

I just heard on the news they have a forensic anthropologist from the University of Florida on the scene plus divers from Clay county, Jacksonville & St. Johns county. There's close to 30 LE at the scene from the live report at 12 noon.
