IMHO I think Misty really does think she's going to get off easier than others. IMHO she thinks she's going to get sentenced under the youth offender program. She qualifies yes? It will be interesting to see what happens with her.

As for RC's family stating he was there to befriend Misty. Oh bull stinky.

At this point, I'm hoping Misty DOES qualify for youthful offender program. I'd love to see RC's reaction to that.:angel:

This girl thinks she can outsmart the world. I need to review my armchair psych analysis of her or something. It can start out with why she's digging her own grave.

The same reason women got prego when it was taboo to do so - she's "in love" and believes what he told her.

I don't think Misty expects to be charged, and I am beginning to think she will not be charged, for Haleigh.

I do not believe for a minute that it doesn't bother Misty that RC is going for a plea deal, especially if she was told he has offered to testify against her. IMO, RC hasn't been offered this, but rather his attorney has approached the state trying to get such an offer. But who knows how it was explained to Misty.

That's a very good question, AZ. I do believe that there is another story hope we get to hear it soon though. I snipped this from the article in the first post:

Misty Croslin, who was the last to see HaLeigh before making the 911 call to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office early on Feb. 10, 2009, has already told detectives all she can, said her attorney, Robert Fields.

Fields said he has not negotiated with prosecutors but is not surprised that others have been making deals.

"Misty's position is she's told law enforcement what happened and it's their decision to act on the information," he said.

Fields said the drug charges create pressure on everyone to cooperate with detectives. After the arrests, investigators said they intended to use the opportunity to discuss HaLeigh's case.

Does anyone else get the impression that Misty may have told the actual story as she knows it regarding Haleigh? I found it odd that her lawyer Fields has not been negotiating with prosecutors. Maybe there's no reason for negotiation? Field then says-he's not suprised that Tommy and Ron are making deals. I wonder why? It seems he knows something that we don't.

Now, wait a minute. This is the second time I’ve seen GGH lead…..yes…..lead Tommy down the forbidden path with trying to fill in answers before he gets a chance to state them. She jumps in with questions to get answers.
Tommy's "Yep" to GGH on his phone call was in response to whether or not it was "Joe" that had direct contact with Haleigh. Since this is the second time she's led him in a conversation and purposely lead suspicion toward Joe, all this AGAIN.......doesn't make any sense. Joe was not the one in Florida wielding guns around, planting headless rats in mailboxes, marrying the last person to see his daughter and out making drug deals.
I’m beginning to wonder if “Joe” isn’t a code word for “Ron”.

Yep...I am sick and tired or reading about cases and seeing poor writing skill, their clarity leaves a lot to be desired. Their is no editing...if there were, we wouldn't have to decipher the meaning of what they write. Schools in this country have lost the care and dedication to English Grammer and Writing.

Chelsea even told NG a while back there are many versions/theories as to what may of happen to Haleigh. Including Haleigh OD'd. Chelsea claims she knows for a "Fact" that there was pills laying around the house. I would like to know how she knows this as a "FACT"? :waitasec:

Croslin’s cousin, Joe Overstreet, was questioned by police for a third time Tuesday CNN reports.
Joe Overstreet lives in Tennessee, but was in Florida the night Haleigh was reported missing.
He was questioned by the FBI days after Haleigh's disappearance in February 2009.
Croslin has been in jail for weeks on unrelated drug charges.

Maybe she's afraid that to admit lying about one thing would hurt her credibility further (if that's even possible, lol). To try to achieve a plea Misty would have to offer them some information and to offer them some information she would have to admit that she's a liar ("that's all I know"). I think she's made it a point of weird honor to deny lying. She was so upset when the new guy called her a liar. If she's determined to stick to the I'm just a confused lil girl, I wasn't lying, I just don't know, I was asleep, I don't know anything defence, admitting to knowing something would ruin it.

I think she doesn't care about Ron and Tommy's plea attempts in the same way she didn't care about Ron's new girlfriend.

I had stayed off this thread for a couple of days, and wouldn't you know that when I reappear, there have been multiple new "bombshells" in this case (I am struggling to understand what's going on here).

First, the news that Ronald may get a 15 year plea deal makes me nauseated...I am not exagerating. How could that happen ? HOW ?

Misty is sealing her deal to a hefty prison sentence by sticking to her story. Maybe Hope should send her a post card from Lowell showcasing the fine facility they have waiting on her there. What could she be thinking ? Hope got 15 years, how could Misty think her sentence will be even close to that ?

My last question, with all of the bamboozles involved in this case, how is it that it hasn't been solved yet ? This MUST end !
