I noticed one caller tried to ask about the blanket, if it was found, and if dna tests were done. Jane didn't even ask Chelsea what, if anything she knows about the blanket. It must be a piece of evidence that is being kept deliberately quiet with even the media knowing to shut up about that issue. Either that, or media doesn't consider it newsworthy since it doesn't involve any of these characters.
I'm really not wanting to quote you Mew--it's just that I've lost my other posting box LOL. I just wanted to ask if anyone else that's read Misty's letter to Chelsea sees anything in it about Joe taking Haleigh. All I saw was he got mad that the gun was gone and that's "when he took IT". I don't see that as taking Haleigh. I see that as taking some inanimate object belonging to Ron. I still think there could be more....like RC finding it missing and going after Joe. I know its never been verified by LE, but I question that there was even any overtime in February at PDM. If he came home at midnight and something happened that turned into an accidental murder, I see them as still blaming Joe for Haleigh's death because of the theft. They just neglect to leave out all the details.
I think Joe would need a lawyer to work out a deal with LE to tell what he knows without getting charges or a reduced charge.
The wonderful and biased JC should have asked that question. Of course, now Chelsea can now say it was NOT Feb.9 but it sure sounded like it.
The reasons it was most likely monday, the 9th is it was very odd that rc every picked up Haleigh after school because he left for work about that time. misty was the one who almost always picked her up on her return from work.
That's the thing, Charlie... I think he has told "all he knows." I think he was there, fessed to what he knows, and now they are after the other ones. He's been sitting at his house in TN for 14 months, hasn't even tried to run. They keep questioning him, his lawyer cleverly states "he hasn't admitted to murder." etc. He's admitted to knowing stuff, I think... just not enough stuff to nail the REAL perps.
This is all JMO... and I may eat crow... but I think Joe is being painted a murderer and is not.
Does anyone now HOW Hank sr broke his leg, and when?
Thus the late night trip by FDLE to go talk to Joe and take his testimony. Joe has an attorney at that time and they needed to agree on the deal and get the copies agreed and signed before LE flew up there. They were only there long enough to take a statement, not interrogate per se. They needed that statement and they needed it ASAP thus the trip.

My mind doesn't think of calling friends and family in the first two minutes of an Emergencey. I'm too busy dealing with the task at hand.
And to travel from CC/wherever to Ganisville to see a man with a broken leg instead of going to Satsuma and seeing Misty or to help search, well in my mind, is ludicrous and not believable.

I agree with you Gibby but I don't think Joe has said much up until this week. If he was there and helped to take Haleigh to the river, had he told, this would have been cleared up over a year ago and LE could possibly have recovered Haleighs remains. Sheriff Hardy says he is comfortable calling this a homicide - sounds to me something has convinced him that Haleigh was intentionally murdered, no accident involved. The question is, for me, who is Sheriff Hardy believing and what makes him comfortable with the term homicide ? It is possible Joe might not even know what really happened, I find it highly unlikely if he went to help he was told the truth by Misty.
Whisperer, I have held my son, whom I knew in my heart was deceased, but was fervently praying otherwise, in my arms WHILE on the phone to 911 as my ex was trying to give him mouth to mouth. I was 17, my ex was 21. Yes, I was screaming, but managed to hold it together. I say this because while we are all different, I know that.. some things are just basic instinct or at least I believe that they are...unless of course.. you know there is no hope and you are trying to hide something..
Did Chelsea live in Satsuma or Crescent Cit? She did not contradict the host when the host stated Satsuma. We heard her say about 3 miles away. Is that Magnolia near Welaka considered Satsuma or are we talking a whole different place?
I also heard her say that Tommy loaned her the car THAT night. Earlier in the interview she stated that she borrowed it from her sister-in-law. My interpretation is the car was borrowed Monday night...HOW?
Don't even get me started on theh Shoemaker part.....grr.
