Sykes saying Haleigh and Junior putting on shirts she brought over was interesting. And how about that she ALWAYS did the kids laundry cause she didn't want their clothes to have stains. Imagine that? Whew...this case is so over the top, I'll be on drugs before its over.

Wonder why Sykes thought they should have shirts on...Could it be it was too freaken cold on that porch?

Misty does not use or have laundry detergent. It makes sense to me why GMS would want to do the children's laundry.
And maybe it was cooler that time of year and they needed another shirt on or maybe just a shirt.

Why in the heck is this Grandmother Sykes getting jailhouse-related information from Grandmother Hollar about where to search in the woods?

Why do Sykes & Hollar have a telephone/investigation relationship? Ron & Misty in cahoots? Such that even the Cummings-Croslin grandparents are in cahoots?

And why is Grandmother Sykes searching ahead of LE? And TN?

And why did GGMS high tail it out to the Mondex?

Is she motivated to find the remains first, so no one else can? So Team Ron has time to write the story? Why?

Yeah, I get that, but...how did it change from last night?
Do you think Hollars talked to any of her grandkids today? I don't.

My point is, everyday it's a new story...I'd just like to know if she is just repeating them, where are they coming from?

Do you know how many letters GMa Hollars has received from Misty ? There are copies of some of Misty's letters at other websites - the stories change. I suspect the letters to GMa Hollars were not consistent, that is beyond Misty's capabilities.

I think this whole thing will come back to drugs and the cover up of an OD. Maybe we'll never know for sure, but the drug theory explains Ron's cover up of the death. It also would explain GGM's quick denial of drugs being present. Ron's been involved with drugs for quite some time. He knew his luck had run out with all of the walking away from charges he has done.

I think Haleigh was taken from her home for another purpose. Hardy said LE believes that Haleigh died in the area of the search. He did not say he felt Haleigh was dead at her home before she was taken.

I have no recollection of a vehicle being searched near Ronald's home that was found with drugs in it. Now there was a vehicle found, during the search of Crystal's property, that had drug parapharnalia in it and, IIRC, the vehicle was owned and registered to a someone outside of the family. Maybe someone else here can add more to this.

Yeah, there was that vehicle too. But there was one found within the first few days, close to the MH.

Yes, that is true. It was someone not related to Crystal and the truck was at the far end of the property in a corner. The owner's name was Jesse, I think.

I don't remember any other car with drugs, but I did read at the one near Crystal's place last night.

I don't think it would. He was charged almost a year later with selling drugs. If he was selling drugs at the time of Haleigh's disappearance LE would have arrested him then, just like they did this time. If they suspected drugs were being sold in the home then even if they hid the drugs LE would bring the drug dogs in to do a scent trace and they would put him under surveillance until they caught him.

He could not be implicated. There has to be proof that he was selling at the time and since he has never been charged with selling during that time period he would not be implicated. LE can't just theorize and speculate, they have to have proof and it is obvious they don't have it, hence no arrest until January of this year.

IMO

They would have found evidence of the pills inside Haleigh's stomach if she overdosed which would open the case wide open.

1. It would lead to LE to wonder why they have Oxycontin in the first place,.

2. They'd want to get evidence of a prescription from a doctor due to a medical issue

3. If there was no prescription given then LE would figure everything out.

4. Plus they'd have statements from Crystal S who has said all along she wondered if Haleigh got into pills.

Yeah, I agree with that.

But, IMO, believing there would be a search is one thing.
To believe the (what # story is this) 3rd or 4th story coming from Flo in the past 2 days is different.

JMO

I think that Grandma Hollars is telling bits and pieces of the same story. I think she might have held back about Misty listening to Haleigh scream and hiding under a sheet with Jr. because it most likely disgusts her that her very own granddaughter would not fight to protect Haleigh. I know that I would be disgusted and would not want to believe that my granddaughter would do such a thing.

I think the bond is one grandmother is grieving the loss of her granddaughter and one has wrestled with knowing that her three grandchildren are involved.

Did anyone hear when Chelsea said she wanted LE to search out on 309 and a party, then she was cut off? I will have to listen to that part again as I could be wrong but thought she said party.
I just listened again (Tivo). Chelsea said she wanted them to search 309 because of what Misty said in her letter, that Joe might be the "involving party".

I might not have heard something right....does anybody remember when GGMS & Flo were going at it and GGMS asked Flo where she got her info about MC talking to TN about watching the kids?

  • #252
NG cut off Chelsea just as she was getting started about the drugs. She stopped her and went to the talking heads, that was really bad. We could have got some good info....:banghead:

Now that is truly a good question Whisperer - truly good question. Why the heck didn't they call LE ? Something is just not right with this.
this may sound morbid, but if I was in GGS shoes, & if the cops weren't telling me anything, I MIGHT not be able to stay away from that site. Me wanting to know something, anything, might override any rational reasoning. & this is assuming I had no knowledge of the crime. But, this does make me question how informed the cops are keeping the Cummings. hmmmm.

It was cold and dark when she was there.

I freaked when I heard the word "stains" from GGS. I like to do the kids' laundry... Well, doing laundry eliminates stains. The word may have slipped out unintentionally.

lol. I actually understood GGMS on this one. Pre-treating kiddie stains takes time. You have to be motivated to do all that pre-treating. If you wash/dry a stubborn juice stain, for example, it's there forever.

Okay, I'm a little anal with the laundry. :floorlaugh:

Just a few hours ago in another thread, I said my money would be on GGS to be the mastermind. She always seems a bit "controlled, powerful". :waitasec:

Ok, I get that too Charlie, I do.
But, my opinion is, her stories change by the hour. I know she has heard and seen a lot of stories, but when she tells each story, she acts like that's the one she believes, then on the next show, like the next hour, it changed.

I just don't get it.

I wonder how come GGMa Sykes never corrected the description of Haleigh's clothes ? Did she not pay any attention to what shirts they put on? Wonder if LE has questioned her about that and if those shirts were found ?

I doubt that...

The laundry story has been out since day one.

I am sure if MC did laundry she would not take the time to remove stains.
