Misty can be called the 'mastermind' all day long, but anybody with a brain, can see from the video, that Ronald was in charge, & popping pills to boot. (what a bonus for court!!!) & the idea that he would testify against Tommy, who was barely even there, is laughable. & just for the record, Ronald is right smack in the middle of this 'motley crew, & it's a tad late for him to try to distance himself. He's no better than the rest of them.

On First Coast news, they said Tommy goes to trial June 20th (that's a Sunday, so maybe it was another day, 21st?) on theft charges. I think she said that, she sort of swallowed her words. Nothing else was said about Tommy's day in court. They did make a big deal about the tape with Flora H. I could see them leading Joe to the gallows. :shakehead: Talk about poor reporting and jumping to conclusions.

I would normally agree with this 100% however it appears from the article that ToC's attorney - not LE - released ToC's and Granny's call.

The last we heard from LE was that THEY were not going to release the call due to an ongoing investigation - yet the lawyer releases it today :waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

Hasnt ToC's lawyer said he has a good working relationship with LE...maybe LE gave him the go ahead to release it. That would make sense to me.

So that means to me that the DA had just given him his copy. The DA knows what he is doing. He knows Tommy's attorney would get that tape out there in a NY minute.

IMO, the DA does not just know but gave it to Tommy's attorney and said they would not mind if it went out today.

Ron's attorney is saying that he is trying to plea Ron down but Ron knows nothing about Haleigh. Today a tape goes out with Gma Flo giving a story that she "heard" from Misty about Haleigh dying while with Ron/Misty and Ron disposing of the body. Even if Tommy said it was bull, the story is now out there today.

I think the DA just let Ron know that they don't believe he knows nothing about Haleigh and he needs to start talking if he wants a plea.

BTW, Ron's attorney saying they are negotiating a plea does not mean the DA is agreeing to accept a plea. Ron has to be willing to give the DA something the DA wants. I don't see testifying in the drug cases as something the DA wants. They have the tapes, the UC and they have Hope Sykes.

Does it matter really ? To me it doesn't and apparently to LE/SA it doesn't either. Ron is an active participant as demostrated by the UC video's, no one twisting his arm or pointing a weapon at him. Free will. Equally as guilty whether mastermind or dumb. He got caught trafficking pills, time to own up and take his punishment.

mastermind = misty??!! How do you think misty organized the operation and handle the money. The girl can't count or do math? Now who do you think handled that part and who do you think handled the money in her deals? Misty is friendly and can strum up people who like drugs. Don't you think rc knew all about her? He met her at the age of 16. It appears to me he groomed her for the deals. He didn't want to get caught.j Misty is a drug addict, addicts sell to support their habit. Being with ron gave her more access to drugs. Misty had to have somebody with her to do any dealing. Mastermind, far from it...desperate drug addict, more likely.

Yes, misty does have different personalities...I agree with you about that.

I would bet a big part of his being attracted to teenage girls is because they are minors with "clean" records. He can get them to do his drug deals because they usually get a slap on the wrist with the first few "busts."

IMO, if there is anything funny about those drug video's it is that something happened where Ron could no longer trust Misty either with the money or with the drugs and had to go with her. It was his lack of trust and not having a "new" girl ready to take over that got him caught.

IMO, Ron's attorney may be trying to negotiate a plea deal but the DA is never going to believe that Misty was the mastermind.

Just getting in and playing catch-up so forgive me if I'm more than a little confused at the moment... What exactly is it that Ronald is going to testify to/about? Why would they (the state of Florida) even need his testimony? They have the whole dang thing on tape for crying out loud. Unacceptable! Again, the guy rolls around in the mud and will end up being the only one who comes out clean. But most especially, IF his testimony has anything to do with HaLeigh, in exchange for a reduced DRUG sentence, not only will blood be shooting out of my eyes (along w/Whisperer), but I swear I'll turn into a fire-breathing dragon! How despictable to think that a father withheld information about his missing child and ONLY disclosed it at a time when it could be used as leverage towards getting reduced time for trafficking in drugs - DOUBLE UNACCEPTABLE!

After a pre-trial hearing with Cummings, Shoemaker said they were trying to negotiate a plea deal in exchange for testimony against the other defendants

On the table in the deal, according to Terry Shoemaker, are the two "upper level" trafficking charges, each of which carries a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years.

By working with the three lesser charges, Shoemaker said he hopes Cummings would end up with a sentence of 15 to 30 years.

Shoemaker clarified the deal being worked out is in no way tied to the search for Haleigh who is now presumed dead, according to Sheriff Hardy.

Failing the deal, Cummings is scheduled to go to trial July 19.

I am not sure that is happening. They mentioned Joe right from the very start.

I think Tommy is just tired of keeping the secret and it may turnout to be close to what Misty said about Joe coming there and taking Haleigh from her bed. There is a valid reason why some in Joe's family thinks he is crazy.

I have always felt she was taken and Jr left behind because the motivation was sexual in nature.

I agree with you on the possible motivation, but there may have been a little more to it. If the story about the gun theft is true, as was reported early on in this case, then there may have been bad blood between Joe and Ron. This may have some bearing on why this little girl was chosen. Opportunity + Revenge in addition to the reason you mention. Possibly all fueled by a drug high.
