2010.06.28 - Kyron's Dad files for divorce and restraining order

When do we expect the docs to be unsealed? I have heard today but wondering when today, anyone heard? I am so anxious to read the actual docs outlining the basis for this RO. Finally - something concrete to look at, analyse, debate. lol

If this is true, I'm guessing it's because she is a homemaker, and doesn't have a job, and therefore couldn't take out a loan or refinance her house, or any number of other things people tend to do to raise money for the $20,000+ retainers that criminal lawyers require.

I haven't read this whole thread yet but did anyone mention that in the divorce proceedings that Kaine is asking for child support? I heard that one on the news last night. I wonder if that is standard to ask for from a wife even though she is currently not working. ??

IMO, since there had to be an immediate decision made on the FAPA application, the judge sealed everything as a precautionary measure until it could be determined if anything involving the investigation was contained within the documents. I don't believe LE or DA had anything to do with it being sealed.

It's routine to demand child support from the non-custodial parent.

I don't know Donjeta, but am guessing the documents for divorce and RO have nothing to do with the investigation. I think someone overreacted in a very stressful time, probably already a strained relationship before Kyron went missing, the 911 call Saturday about a man threatening a women iirc, and then these filings. I think this is just an emotional family issue with old fears blending with new, egos, and a lost little boy, taken too far on a personal level, but, given the circumstances it is understandable though. All of this is jmo of course.

Jeeeze - yesterday the RO had to be sealed because the basis for it threatened the integrity of finding Kyron - and today the order to 'seal' will be vacated? What a difference a day makes!

It's a scary day when a husband and a judge can take away a mom's biological child from behind closed doors. Hopefully, their reason for doing so is substantial. Hopefully Kaine's agenda has nothing to do with money and everything to do with the safety of his daughter. moo

I too found that very odd. IF, as many suppose, she is somehow tied to what happened to Kyron, and IF the divorce and RO are pertaining to her being involved in criminal acts against Kyron, isn't it a little bizarre to request child support for baby K if you anticipate she will be tried and jailed for some wrongdoing? That makes no sense to me. Add to that she is a homemaker, currently unemployed at any sort of job and not likely to land one under the cloud of suspicion, I find the whoel darn thing very unusual.

Wonder if it's standard to ask for child support from a woman you think is too dangerous to be near her baby girl

Also, does anyone know about insurance - does the order say Terri will be responsible for her and son? What about the life insurance policy Kaine may have had on his children - are they now in his name only? moo TIA

Im thinking this is more of a standard form with some copy/pasting done in the crucial areas. So I dont read much into the child support issue yet. Or either its standard procedure and when a child is involved that clause must be included in final paperwork
