I am not an attorney so I am not sure yet have read many orders (work related) and it seems like I see "mutual restraining order" quite often.

My Son just had one and I remember it was stated in his also, both parties.

Divorcing parties get restraining orders against each other. Keeping the other parent away from his or her biological child is a horse of a different color.

I still can't get past the timing of filing now...he could have left without filing for a divorce. He had to want to create a public storm, it seems.

Wow. It just keeps getting worse. I was complaining there was no news, and now I am drowning in it. Holy Crapola.

So it's gone from leaving and taking the baby to a divorce and a restraining order? Something tells me this marriage has not been right for awhile, and something just broke the camel's back for Kaine. I'm doubting that infidelity would be the only reason for what just happened. If Kaine was supporting his wife about Kyron, I doubt he'd be addressing infidelity right now. Kyron is foremost on his mind. It's only been three weeks, not three months or three years. And every action in the last few hours tells me she is definitely out of the family and not being let back in anytime soon...

God, I hope it's not her having done something to Kyron...but my nauseous stomach tells me otherwise...

I think we're all drowning, Aedrys, right along with you!

I agree with your intuition that something hasn't been right for awhile (in terms of the marriage). If it was a solid, healthy marriage, KH would IMO be standing by his wife at this time.

If these new reports are true, KH is NOT standing by his wife.

It makes you wonder why, doesn't it?

I mean - if the marriage was solid, and if TH was a trust-worthy person, and if KH felt TH was a good mother to his children, why not stand up for her?

I feel very sad tonight.

I have been hoping against hope that Kyron is found safe & alive.

I still hold onto that hope, despite today's events & reports.

Well,Maybe if the answers to where little Kyron is and what happened to him will come now if they are against each other.

IMO, the statement issued was pretty clear why this action was done.

The first indication of trouble in the Horman home was Terri's 16 yo son moving away.

I went through a divorce and there was no mention by anyone about a restraining order.

Me too. With two children.

I wouldn't call it typical, but can be quite common as between the parents. But bio parents have a right to see their child unless there is some threat to the child. Ime, it is not common for the RO to apply to the children.

Sorry, misunderstood. So the RO is to prevent her from seeing the child? I missed that.

I doubt this is about mere marital problems. This is about something the family knows. As in through LE, Kyron's parents and step dad are reading the writing on the wall.

and Kaine doesn't want to be liable for Terri's legal expenses, especially if she was involved in Kyron vanishing.

I think you are right.

No one knows what the restraining order is for. Everyone is trying to guess.

Maybe he didn't care about the public storm. It seems to me all he did was file papers and the press found the documentation. I can totally understand him wanting to cut himself loose from the woman he believed harmed his child, and doing whatever he thought necessary to protect his daughter from her.

Kaine has counsel. Obviously has had it for some time.

It seems at the moment, Terri might not have counsel. (that's JMHO at this time...I'm just not seeing any support for her - even those supporting her...aren't exactly helping...)

I don't know why this makes me very uncomfortable. But it does. I need to think about it.

We might see a psych defense here.

Still can't believe the Welcome sign on the threshold.
Yes,He will have to have the burden of proof.Hopefully they will do psychs on both of them.

has filed for divorce from his wife Terri Moulton Horman and was granted a restraining order against herhttp://www.katu.com/news/local/97360254.html,

hmmmm.... "granted" is a pretty big operative word.

I know, but he could have filed the RO without filing for a divorce. Unless they all feel this is the best way to apply the most pressure to Terri, which it certainly seems like it would be to me.
