Was this done because the RO paperwork contains details of the investigation?

I'll bet it does.

If anyone had any doubt that the restraining order did in fact have to do with the investigation, this should spell it out for you.

I can't figure out why LE just continues to spout off "She is not a POI or suspect." It's unbelievably clear she is.

Even though they are not saying it, I think she is. They must have a reason for keeping quiet on it.

This morning's update from KATU:

Divorce papers, restraining order put spotlight on stepmother

From that article:

Before KATU's source confirmed that Kaine had moved out and taken his daughter with him, KATU News had friends of Terri call her and ask her if it was true.

She told them it wasn’t true and that everything was fine. But the divorce papers weren’t served until 6 p.m.

Looks to me like LE is cranking up the pressure on TMH. It's clear from that quote that someone tipped off the media about the divorce filing before TMH was told. In an ordinary divorce situation between two newsworthy people (celebrities, for instance), that would be a crass, low class maneuver but in this situation? Looks like psyops.

In a different article here:

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_hormans_stepmom_terri_mo.html

there is this quote:

One friend, who asked not to be identified, said that Terri Horman still felt as though the county sheriff's office was on her side.

This makes me think that LE is playing "good cop, bad cop" by convincing Kaine Horman to play the bad cop role.

I hope LE has some solid evidence behind all this that they haven't even hinted at officially.

Didn't the Walsh family (John) have problems after their child went missing? I think maybe it's just such a difficult situation to live in with a missing child that it puts a ton of pressure on the marriage, if the marriage wasn't too strong at first, this would be enough to make it crack.

All kinds of major change - even welcome changes like a new baby, job, or winning the lottery - cause stress. I don't doubt that losing a child (be it to cancer, abduction, drowning, or a car accident, etc.) causes tremendous stress. I had a child with life threatening health issues and during that time being married was very hard. Being alone was also very hard. Life was hard, period.

The Walshes are still together, however. Lots of couples work through it. That's what a commitment means (to me): you know that life is going to feel unbearable at times and you commit to going through those times together.

So while I don't judge anyone who splits up during rough times (for whatever reason), I also don't think it's inevitable. There were people whose marriages survived the Holocaust, enslavement, POW status, and all kinds of atrocities. Human beings can overcome some remarkable things.

It must be unbelievably difficult to get a judge to put an RO on the biological mother of a baby!...the magnitude of that alone is staggering, IMO.

what sort of things do you have to provide to obtain a restraining order? I would think you would have to show proof you were in danger correct?

A big stretch, but Perhaps this is the scenario (maybe)...

Kaine and Desiree started seeing each other again, and Terri got wind of it and it burned her up good. What is the one thing that binds Desiree and Kaine together for life?? KYRON. Get rid of that link and the connection is broken.

Just sayin...it's possible...hell hath no fury like a woman scorned....

How long does it typically take for forensic searches on computers to come back? I wonder if new info was discovered on those searches or if the fliers produced new leads that led to this divorce filing.

Judge seals restraining order in Terri Moulton Horman case

A Multnomah County Circuit Court judge has sealed the restraining order filed late Monday against Kyron Horman's stepmother.

An assistant to Judge Keith Meisenheimer said the entire file has been sealed. Kaine Horman, Kyron's father, filed the request at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, television news crews and reporters this morning were at the home of Terri Moulton Horman.

well then, any "reports" of who this order is to protect is pure speculation and rumor.

Wow. The judge sealed it. OK. Let's brainstorm here.
Judge sealed the RO because:
1. Location of minor needs to remain secret.
2. Minor listed in the RO.
3. Contents of RO indicate possible evidence of Kyron's case.
4. All of the above.

Anything else?

Not necessarily. If you provide a sworn statement that you or a minor in your home was threatened or even made to feel like the home is unsafe because of a person, *most* Oregon judges will grant the temporary/emergency RO, no questions asked. And yes, even to men.

Judge seals restraining order in Terri Moulton Horman case

A Multnomah County Circuit Court judge has sealed the restraining order filed late Monday against Kyron Horman's stepmother.

Meanwhile, television news crews and reporters this morning were at the home of Terri Moulton Horman. When an Oregonian reporter knocked at the door, Horman came to the door but declined to comment.

On Monday, Horman was served with a petition for dissolution of marriage and a restraining order – both of which came as a surprise, sources told The Oregonian.

I had a feeling this was the deal. It's happening in another case I'm following with a different type of legal action that's almost always public.

The judge is part of the conspiracy to keep us from getting the info we want?

According to the Divorce Docs, Kaine has been out of the house since June 26.
