A big stretch, but Perhaps this is the scenario (maybe)...

Kaine and Desiree started seeing each other again, and Terri got wind of it and it burned her up good. What is the one thing that binds Desiree and Kaine together for life?? KYRON. Get rid of that link and the connection is broken.

Just sayin...it's possible...hell hath no fury like a woman scorned....
i think desiree got a good man the second time around. what would she want to go back to kaine for?

I'm not going to speculate on the reason for the divorce at this time. This family has seen more than the average number of divorces already. Maybe filing for a divorce is what some people do during rough patches. And this certainly would qualify as a rough patch.

You have spoken my thoughts of a possible motive perfectly.

The judge is part of the conspiracy to keep us from getting the info we want?

LOL! Maybe someone should send him a letter and let him know that inquiring minds at Websleuths want to know what's in them. Then, whoever sends such letter should say "pretty please with a cherry on top". Pretty please with a cherry on top is a surefire way to get us that info!

Requesting child support from Terri? Maybe a formality.

Saying that she needs to take out a life insurance policy? That strikes me as odd.

When I filed for divorce, one of the stipulations for my soon to be ex was not only to pay child support, but also to have a life insurance policy. I live in Florida. I have no idea if it is "mandatory" or not, but my lawyer strongly suggested it, so I went with it.

Edited to add: Without looking at my papers, I can't say for sure, but I think it was only til my child is 18 and child support quits.

Item #13 -- KH is looking for TH to pay Child Support. Saaaweeet!

"Petitioner is not now pregnant" Kaine is the petitioner. Terri is the respondent.

Either way I'm relieved to know she's not pregnant.

Yes. Absolutely standard.

in OR or any state I guess, is this something I could just walk in to the courthouse and get done today like on my lunch break head over and file for divorce and a RO, or would it take a few days to get it all together?

You can walk in with the forms, pay the filing fee, and it's a done deal. If the attorney already had the forms ready, the only thing that would take any time at all is if there was a line at the court clerk's desk.

Looks like Splitsville to me. The ball is rolling ... nothing strange about the document.

Most of the paperwork can be downloaded for free. You can print it out, fill it out, take it to the court house, pay the filing fee, and viola! you opened a case.

an attorney could easily get this done in 1/2 a day or less. The hearing on the RO is immediate. You just wait for the assigned judge to have time to hear it. The hearing can just take a few minutes.
