I think Houze is actually playing hardball, via Bunch. IMO.
However, I hear Rackner knows how to play hardball as well.
Will be educational if nothing else.

Yes from what I read on her law firms site she is a force to be reckoned with.

IMO this is divorce court and Kyron has no bearing on it unless/until she is charged. In reality I think Kaine will be paying for the divorce attorney's for both of them.

ETA actually I think they will get the abatement and nothing will be decide until a criminal case is forth coming

I think you are right. The court will order Kaine to pay regardless of Terri's bad behavior. He will pay because the court wants to protect the system by making sure the attorneys are paid. She has no job and no income, and he does.

I mentioned Bunch because he is handling the divorce. It's interesting to me because so far the attorneys have been very conciliatory, very agreeable, and I've been curious about their strategy. IMHO, they're going to come out swinging, but only insofar as it really counts.

She really has nerve. She managed to come up with $350K to defend her behind but wants him to pay to divorce her cheating behind? She should be required to pay his attorney bills. I greatly fear that the money she came up with came from a media deal, insult to injury time and again.

I "thought" that the filing party usually incurred the attorney costs? no? I've never gone through a nasty divorce, thank goodness. Both me and my x did our own paperwork, and he paid for all the fees (since he was the cheater).

In this case though, I think they should each pay their own fees. Why should KH pay for TH's fees for all that he's been through -- especially since he is certainly the victim in the divorce. I'm talking about the confirmed sexting, the alleged MFH, and her alleged involvement in Kyron's dissapearance.

MOO of course.

Bunch stated in court documents that the 350K was a gross misstatement of the amount paid to secure Houze. IMHO, she only has nerve if she's guilty. If she's innocent, well, then, that's a whole different story, IMHO.

Expect Kaine's attorney to file an answer to the motion to abate of yesterday soon. I'm sure she will answer as to why Terri's attorney fee's should be paid for by she.

My question is, if she's claiming she paid far less, then why not reveal where she got it from? Is she embarrassed that she raised so little for her lawyer? Or does she not want KH to know that she's got a cash cow in the wings? I'm just a little disturbed by the "I'm poor, but I won't show you where my pennies came from" tack that is being taken here. She should quit hiding everything if she really has nothing to lose but face. Sheesh.

BBM. Perhaps her attorney has evidence that proves she has done nothing wrong? I don't know. If not, it's hard to imagine that he would support her in making such a request as that Kaine pay for the divorce.

IF her attorney has evidence she had done nothing wrong then why she isnt fighting for her daughter?

I find it telling she will fight for her divorce bills to be paid and yet not fight for her own baby.

Maybe she shouldnt have gave her other lawyer 350k then ( if she did ofc)

I guess she is the victim of a series of unfortunate coincidences.

And for some unknown reason she refuses to show her face in a courtroom...Wonder WHY?

I think who pays for what is probably unique to each couple's situation. In my case I filed; he was the cheater. I asked for, and got, him to pay for half of all court costs and half of my attorney's fees. We both worked, and made roughly equal pay, though.

Aren't costs usually awarded at the end of the divorce?

I've never heard of anyone demanding "fees" for their lawyer up front.

And wouldn't most spouses in her postion be applying for support (alimony) for themselves?

Oh stars and stripes?????? Really? Is this because the alleged MFH didn't work...he's still here so he is responsible for her attorney bills? Keep my daughter but pay my lawyer.

I must excuse myself before I type something ugly...like this smoke screen of stupidity is focusing attention on everyone except Kyron.

Where are you angel?

Maybe she wants to protect her daughter from harm because of the threats being made against her. If the baby is with her, she could be harmed.

I am 100% sure that baby K would be very safe in a supervised situation. There are social service agencies that will supervise visitations. Besides, I don't think baby K is the target of anyone's anger.

I'm certain he'd be happy to pay whatever he has if he could mandate she testify in court on certain aspects of the divorce. Or, undergo the psych profile.

I guess she is the victim of a series of unfortunate coincidences.

That depends on a person's interpretation of the day, IMHO.

I heard this story a long, long time ago, and I can't credit it, but I will share it.

Two men, leaving their formers homes and the same town, were traveling together on a road to a new, same town. They were stopped by a man traveling in the opposite direction. The third man asked the first man why he was leaving his former town, and he said that he loved his old town, but he wanted new experiences, to have an adventure. The third man asked the first man what kind of people he expected to find in the new town, and the first man replied, "Fun, loving, generous people!" The third man responded, "That's what you will find."

The third man turned to the second man. He asked him why he was leaving his former home town. The second man answered that his former home town was filled with crooks and thieves, selfish, hateful people. The third man asked the second man what he expected to find in the new town. The second man answered, "More of the same." The third man responded, "That's what you will find."

IMHO, with regard to this case, many people are finding what they expect to find.
