Also, IMHO, the first filing by Bunch gives an explanation about why TH hasn't fought for her daughter. It's a reasonable explanation, IMHO. It also intimates that she intends to fight for her, or at least visitation, at some point.

Aren't costs usually awarded at the end of the divorce?

I've never heard of anyone demanding "fees" for their lawyer up front.

And wouldn't most spouses in her postion be applying for support (alimony) for themselves?

On the same basis most none custodial parents would be sorting out child maintenance for any children they have to help suppoer there child..

That depends on a person's interpretation of the day, IMHO.

I heard this story a long, long time ago, and I can't credit it, but I will share it.

Two men, leaving their formers homes and the same town, were traveling together on a road to a new, same town. They were stopped by a man traveling in the opposite direction. The third man asked the first man why he was leaving his former town, and he said that he loved his old town, but he wanted new experiences, to have an adventure. The third man asked the first man what kind of people he expected to find in the new town, and the first man replied, "Fun, loving, generous people!" The third man responded, "That's what you will find."

The third man turned to the second man. He asked him why he was leaving his former home town. The second man answered that his former home town was filled with crooks and thieves, selfish, hateful people. The third man asked the second man what he expected to find in the new town. The second man answered, "More of the same." The third man responded, "That's what you will find."

IMHO, with regard to this case, many people are finding what they expect to find.

Interesting story but it doesn't change the fact that if TH is not in some way involved in Kyron's disappearance she has the worst luck of any other person on the planet. And the strangest way of defending herself and trying to make herself look innocent. She must have broken a lot of mirrors in her life.

In Kaine's divorce papers, he indicated that each should pay their own costs, however, if Terri contested the divorce then Kaine expected to be paid reasonable attorney fees and costs.

In the end, the judge will decide what is best all the way around.

Maybe she wants to protect her daughter from harm because of the threats being made against her. If the baby is with her, she could be harmed.

Well...true...Kyron appears to have possibly come to harm..and Kaine possibly too had her alleged plan worked. Maybe shes simply scared of herself. JMO

That's not what I said at all, and not what I meant. There are threats of bodily harm against Terri on the internet, and they are vehement. She may be concerned that the baby could be hurt. It's a legitimate concern.

It is I agree. Its also a legitimate concern that after Terris step son goes missing ( when shes the last person to see him) and after she allegedly attempted to get someone to kill her husband that Maybe Terri isnt the safest person for that little girl to be around.

What bad luck, though? It's possible other people are being dishonest to cover their butts. The teacher said nothing about the doctor's appointment, confused or otherwise, when questioned about Kyron's absence from class. It was only after he went missing, and parents asserted that he shouldn't have been missing, that the "confusion" about the doctor's appointment came into play. Cell phone pings? If she was driving around to soothe baby K's earache, it's possible she did ping near Suavie Island. It's possible that happened, or maybe not, and Terri initially lied about her whereabouts that day. LE has searched SI and found nothing.

I really don't see where all these coincidences or bad luck are coming into play. There's not very much evidence or a series of completely unbelievable events that fell into place that day. What I see is a puzzle piece and a puzzle -- maybe it fits, or maybe it's being jammed into the wrong place by people who are assuming it fits.

I agree. If she could come up with $350,000, or even $35,000, then she can pay her own lawyer fees. I was only saying what I think the court will rule. Not that I agree with it.

Here's what I was responding to. I was simply suggesting a possible answer to your question.

IF her attorney has evidence she had done nothing wrong then why she isnt fighting for her daughter?

I find it telling she will fight for her divorce bills to be paid and yet not fight for her own baby.

IMO this is divorce court and Kyron has no bearing on it unless/until she is charged. In reality I think Kaine will be paying for the divorce attorney's for both of them.

I disagree. I think Kyron is a major factor in the divorce. Even if you are right and Kyron will not be allowed to be a factor then the MFH plot certainly will.

The woman has a lot of nerve to ask for Kaine to pay her attorney fees after trying to hire someone to murder him! :furious:

Lastly, he says Kaine Horman should be required to pay Terri Horman's attorney fees and costs in the divorce proceeding.

Bunch asks the court to dismiss Kaine Horman's request to order Terri Horman to show cause why she shouldn't be forced to disclose how she obtained the money for her lawyer.

This is always a tit for tat issue that I feel you see regulary in divorce proceedings. The judge will rule indeed.
I cant see the judge making Kaine pay given the circumstances that he would prob. not have filed (at least right away) if it was not uncovered that she tried to put a hit out on him, so he was forced into filing the divorce, kwim....

If she doesnt have the funds for the divorce well then she needs to get back her retainer for her criminal lawyer give it to the divorce attorney and then if and when she is charged for the MFH and the Kyron cases she can have a Public D appointed to her .

I am sure the Judge will want to know where the funds came from for the CD attorney, the Judge will look into it, Kaine may not be able to be privy to it depending on the circumstances, but the Judge will...moo

Well, this argument could be used for this entire case, IMHO. We don't know that Terri was mouthing off about the LDTs, we take Desiree's word for it. We don't know that Terri was being self-centered and worried about herself in the days after Kyron was first missing. We don't know if Terri claimed that she was driving around to soothe baby K's earache, we take the reliable source's word for it.

If the basis for commenting or forming an opinion was based on what we heard and us being there when it happened, then none of us should have an opinion about any of this, IMHO.

They should each pay their attorney fees. Kaine should not expect Terri to pay half of his, he's the one who filed for divorce. Not sure, but I think the petitioner pays the court costs and filing fees. Least they do here.
If she is not contesting the divorce, she might not even have to show up.
