That, and I guess for me, that "we" is inclusive in the family way, not the lawyerly way. Like there's someone else helping get those "routines" set for the kids. Like someone helping make that "household".......IMO.

What are you implying here?

If you are making accusations about Kaine now is the time to clean up your baiting. NOW

Post lands at random.

JMO but I didn't see any accusations, just a discussion about an unexpected quote.

If he knew where Kyron was and was planning to bring him back after getting his divorce I think he'd be clever enough not to say it to a reporter, so IMO it must be something else.

I hope there are people that he can get familial support from because he might need it in case Kyron never comes back.

I'm not implying anything. The quote hit me weird, and I was explaining where the weirdness fell in my continuum of weird things I hear over time.

He's speaking in the plural pronoun, which implies some other adult, given his outline of getting the kids (also plural) into routines (plural) and then suddenly it drops into a singular "kyron into a stable household"

The cadence is weird. That is all. It strikes me odd. Just me, but it is in the media and wanted to point out that within it all is that hopefulness of Kyron's return. I was just taking it one step at a time. :)

Just to help out here a bit...a plural pronoun does not imply "another adult." If I say... "we".... it can mean me and my dog. There is no rule of grammar that states a plural pronoun indicates "some other adult."

The simplest explanation is Kaine is referring to his lawyer.

Why are there so many that have to dissect every single word that either Kaine or Desiree utters? I mean, is it really necessary? Is it helping to find Kyron? So what if Kaine uses the word "we" instead of the word "I." Perhaps since he has been married for the past few years to the woman he is now trying to rid himself of because she tried to have him killed, he is simply in the habit of saying "we." It's just overanalyzing every single thing that he and Desiree do to what they are wearing, to what their appearance looks like, to what their hair looks like, to the way they talk. It's hard to read through these things when it has absolutely no bearing on finding Kyron. JMO.

IMO the content implies another adult, not the pronoun, because getting kids settled into a routine in stable households is something adults want, not dogs and children. (Not that dogs and children wouldn't prefer it to chaotic households but they don't think about it in those terms.)

I am sure these are wishes that are shared by many adults around him.

I have another question: Who is "we"??

After the hearing, Kaine Horman said he is satisfied with the judge's decision.

“I think it’s a great step in the right direction," he said. "We want to get through this as quickly as possible. We want to get the kids in their routines and then, outside of the divorce, we want to get Kyron in a nice, stable household."

And what about getting baby K into a "nice, stable household"??

Maybe Kaine's parents are there with him helping out? That's the first thing that seemed likely to me.

Looks as if Kaine's lawyer was prepared with a couple cases of information or evidence plus "the package" (never heard that expression before yesterday lol) if needed.

"Cook said he was subpoenaed to appear by Kaine Horman's lawyer. But he did not testify or comment about the hearing."

And does it seem prejudicial then, to have the Deputy District Attorney attending a civil proceeding?
the audience is now judged? ???? ????? ????????????????? I am sure it has some deep meaning. (iunject sarcasm because I highly doubt it!!!!!!!!!!) mooooooooo

just a stab (personal thought) but Kaine and the family (and extended family) that stands behind him

just a thought. I highly doubt he stands alone in his statements, his thought processes or otherwise.

moo

IMO, it's very odd, like one of those candid moments that people say something they don't realize until later they've said. Weird!
I completely disagree actually couldn't disagree with you more!

It was stated that Terri's attorneys feel that LE is using the civil case to gather information to take a criminal case forward.

It does stand to reason if the Deputy District Attorney is sitting in a divorce case, there is some deeper meaning than he was just hanging out and had a few free hours.

I can't imagine it is typical for the DDA to do this, which is why I asked if it could appear prejudicial, and whether Terri's attorneys could argue that. If the proceeding was closed to the public and the DDA was just hanging around, he's being afforded a privilege the rest of the public is not. If the proceeding was open, free seat, yay!

That's why I asked. I don't know! :) Hope that helps

IDK Debs, I assumed it was open; given all the tweets coming out of the courtroom.

It does seem strange that he said that about getting Kyron settled into a stable household after how he acted last weekend, when it seemed as though he may have given up hope and considering the media reporting this week was so dire.

I didn't find the "we" to be odd, more the part about Kyron. I don't know if I am happy for him or sad, if he is still clinging to hope :(

I think it was Rod Underhill. McCain mentioned on Jane Valez Mitchell's program yesterday that the head DA was there taking "copious notes".

Legally Kyron is alive. I really hope he is and haven't given up on that idea. Kyron's residence may be an issue, as Kaine has been told that his wife, Kyron's primary caregiver, is involved with his kidnapping. I am sure that he does not want Terri to have contact with Kyron when he is found. The family court is the right place for Kaine to bring these issues up. I am also sure that Desiree's wish is that Terri not have contact with Kyron.

Debs, Kaine says "we" a lot. I think it is just the way he talks. He seems to like being on a "team", probably stems from his job.? When he was referring to the "holes" in the case, he used the word " we" also, where I probably would have said something like, LE needs to make sure there are no holes in the case. He said "we" need to make sure. I don't think his use of the word we means anything particular as far as the household goes. I do find it interesting what he said about Kyron though. JMO

BillyLee, thanks for your thoughts on it. One question....in the past, "we" has usually referred to him and Desiree, as Kyron's parents.

That's what threw me, I guess. It could be he's just in the pattern of speaking as a group dynamic rather than a soon to be single father.

I missed that...very interesting; the DA is still very interested obviously by his attendance & note taking.
