About the letters...weren't the letters JB was referring to addressed during a previous hearing? I recall both JB and the State were instructed to review the letters and then come back to him if they wanted any redacted? Was JB complaining about different letters? Thanks.

No, I'm sure he was complaining about the ones from this past week. He, once again, was too da*n lazy to read thru them all to see which ones he wanted to redact. You know, the ones from Cindy & Jo Jo and the ones from those crazies out there that have the audacity to think she is guilty! Too late now, JB.

Was she sitting on the Defense side?

Yes, she was in a brown blazer sitting behind the defense table. At least I am pretty sure that was Cindy.

I think his point was that the SA has a legitimate interest in preserving the integrity of the evidence, and that the defense may have a legitimate interest in talking to their experts outside the hearing of the state. However, the interests are not necessarily in conflict, so absent any controlling law on point he was not REQUIRED to choose between them. The defense and their experts can just keep their mouths shut while LOOKING at the evidence, and then go into another room to TALK about it.

Bold mine.

Yes, ITA, excellent order per HHJP! Although after seeing Jose's "diarhea of the mouth" after the actual hearing part, I have my doubts that the defense, (ie. JB) will be able to contain his flapping jaws during the inspection part of the examination of the evidence.

Every time I hear JB and et al talk about how "unique" this case is and how "unique" their client is.... I hear them demanding and expecting special privileges.

I do not understand WHY the defense feels ICA should be treated any differently than any other inmate. IMO, those requests are getting old. JB is upset because ICA has no privacy.. what inmate has privacy and gets special favors.

I am not surprised JB didn't do his homework... again. Unbelievable....

The other letters were the ones that Inmate Anthony wrote to fellow BFF Inmate Robyn A., and were discovered thanks to yet another Inmate exposing them. Judge S. allowed the State to hold onto that info until their investigation of the matter was completed.

The letters being whined about today, were the recently released documents of letters that Cindy and George and Mallory and fans wrote to Inmate Anthony.

As the Judge said today - on the "privacy" issue .... Inmates have NO PRIVACY.
He told the attorney to remember the Sunshine Laws in Florida.

Wonder if JB is speaking to the press about now? Or if he went out the back door?

Was she sitting on the Defense side?

She was in second or third row, on the end leaning as far into BC in the aisle as possible. No GA. CA is getting savy as to where to sit to avoid the camera at the defense table!

I love it when the defense scheme team say this case is different ... death is different ...
Then Judge P. ALWAYS reminds them that their client is accused of first degree murder, and the State is asking for the ultimate sanction - DEATH. He says it slowly and deliberately.

So JB...that motion to disqualify HHJS is looking a little ill-conceived in retrospect, ne c'est pas?

Thanks, I forgot about the letters between the other inmate and KC.

If the letters JB referred to from this past week were filed with the Clerk Of Court, they immediately became public record. Surprised he didn't review them. What audacity to tack them onto this particular hearing with no notice to the judge.

Baez managed to get Linda Drane-Burdick to recite to the judge the fact that the expert Dr. Henry Lee must be guarded since one of his own defense team members reported to the judge in the Phil Spector case that indeed he tampered with/secreted evidence!!

Oh my God, you just can't make this stuff up!!!!

Oh, but I like how the judge "uses and counters" JB doing this with starting every ruling with: This is a 1st degree murder case and the state is seeking the ultimate penalty of lethal injection.............therefore......

The other thing, is JB really looked stupid bringing the doc dump up when at the last hearing the judge told the state, go through all your documents, papers, files etc and make sure you have turned over and released everything......remember him saying that and stating he didn't want any last minute, whoops we missed this one dumps.

And cleverly avoiding an appeal issue by giving the defense what they SAID they wanted--a way to talk privately with their experts--without giving them what they ACTUALLY wanted--a way to tamper with the evidence.

Isn't it disheartening that this is so blatant that many of us (maybe even HHJP?) are suspicious of their desire to "tamper?" Doesn't it contradict the entire idea of justice?

Why can't more be done about it?

Then Judge P. ALWAYS reminds them that their client is accused of first degree murder, and the State is asking for the ultimate sanction - DEATH. He says it slowly and deliberately.

And JB made sure he got it in that his client is "innocent"---I couldn't hear very well but to me that was a jibe at HHJP's statement.

Thank You Judge for making short of JB's "issues". Defense did want the chance to tamper with the evidence, IMO. Like I'd trust Henry Lee in a room with evidence without watching him like a hawk. Yes, video tape the viewing of the evidence.

Who thinks Jose Baez will have this list ready for July 8th??

the one time I couldn't be here.....is that what happened???? Did she really bring that up?????? I missed so much action.....

Okay, so 1 1/2 hours later and I am left feeling embarrassed for JB, beyond frustrated for Judge Perry and genuinely concerned about George's well-being while he continues to live under the same roof with Cindy.

Is it too early for a cocktail?

best part of the hearing was when judge perry looked straight at casey and said punishment by lethal injection and made a face saying basically do you know how serious this is and you should really think about this before moving forward in this case
